Wasabies showing mosaic symptoms were collected and extracted for virus purification. Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) was identified as causal agent by electron microscopy and nucleic acid and coat protein analyses. TMV strains were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TMV was identified as W and C strain in wasabi. The results of host reaction indicated that this virus induced local lesions on Nicotiana tabacum cv. Bright Yellow and N. glutinosa, leaf spots on Chenopodium amaranticolor and mosaic symptoms on wasabi. Rot shape virus particles were observed and was about 300 nm in length. About 6.5 kb single RNA molecule was observed from extracted viral RNA sample and 26 KDa coat protein was detected in denatured acrylamide gel. Infection ratio of TMV was 8% for the first cultivation year, but was 22% for the second year when TMV-W antiserum was used. The results of this experiment showed that infection ratios of both TMV-W and TMV-C strains were higher compared to that of TMV-P strain.

Flue-cured tobaccos(cv. NC82, grade AB3O-1) expanded by super steam, volatile organic solvents(tricuorofluoromethane, propane), carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and by freeze-drying were examined for their physico-chemical properties. The expanding rate by using the organic solvents or carbon dioxide at the impregnated pressure was 70% or more, whereas the rate by super steam and freeze-drying was 49.4 and 42.9%, respectively. The contents of total sugar, alkaloid and ether extracts of the expanded tobacco by organic solvents or carbondioxide were decreased to 27.6, 20% or more, and 13%, respectively, when compared to non-expanded one. The contents of citric acid of the tobacco expanded by using trichlorofluoromethane and carbon dioxide were increased to 19.1, 14.0%, respectively. Linoleic acid in the tobacco expanded by super steam or trichlorofluoromethane was also increased to 17.3%, but malonic acid in the tobacco expanded by super steam was 18.5% less than that in the non-expanded one. Nineteen essential oil among 22 assayed in this experiment were decreased in the expanded tobaccos. Key words : expanding method, tobacco, physico-chemical properties.

This paper presents the power cable with the concentric neutral wires of S-Z stranding. This type Cables, 22.9KV CN/CV Cables used in the distribution systems have been developed in order to improve bend, bend after torsion and tension charateristics. We have designed and made S-Z stranding machine, testing equipment etc., and have established the manufacturing technology of the equipment and the testing technology.

Randomly amplified polymorphic DNAs were employed to study the genetic variation and gene introgression in potato dihaploids (2n=24) which were generated after interspecific pollination of tetraploid cultivars (2n=4X=48, Solanum tuberosum cv Irish Cobbler, Superior and Dejima) by haploid inducer clones (2n=2X=24, Solanum phureja 1.22, Hes-5 and Hes-6). Genetic variation and DNA marker segregation among dihaploids were observed. Most dihaploids contain S. tuberosum specific RAPD markers but haploid inducer-specific RAPD markers were also found in some dihaploids. Of six different arbitrary 10-mer oligonucletide primers which showed polymorphism betwen tetraploid cultivars and haploid inducers used, three generated amplification products which seemed to be derived from the S. phureja parent. Our results indicate that chromosomes of dihaploids may not be pure S. tuberosum and the dihaploids may not be produced by parthenogenesis.

This study examines the possibility of early production of forage rape (cv. Akela and Velox) in the period of wintering. Bolting date was Feb. 2 to Feb. 9 in PE film house culture by non-heating and Mar. 3 to Mar. 12 in open field culture. And flowering date was Feb. 24 to Mar. 3 in PE film house culture by non-heating, so it was 30~50 days faster than the open field culture of Apr. 17 to Apr. 22. Fresh matter yield was 8, 356~4, 887 kg/10a in PE film house culture by non-heating, so it was 1, 431~1, 603 kg/10a yield increase than in the open field culture of 7, 253~7, 456 kg/10a Dry matter yield was 953~963 kg/10a in PE film house culture by non-heating, so it was 71~284 kg/10a yield increase than in the open field culture of 669~892 kg/10a.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report a case of nine-year-old female pediatric patient who had diagnosed as mesenteric lymphadenitis with abdominal pain. Methods : The patient was treated by acupunture (acupoint: Hegu(LI4), Zusanli(S36), Zhongwan(CV12), Tianshu (S25)), indirect moxibustion and herb medicine (Koakhyangjeonggisan-kamibang, Jakyakgamchotang Ex) for one week. We observed clinical progress. Result and conclusions : After oriental medical treatment, symptoms of mesenteric lymphadenitis (day and night abdominal pain, diarrhea) were improved. This study showed that oriental medicine can be a meaningful treatment for mesenteric lymphadenitis. For more accurate studies, further treatment cases would be needed.

To obtain the genetic information about DVT( $\alpha$- and $\beta$-4,8,13- duvatriene-1,3-diols) and cis-abienol contents, two burley(Burley 21, KB 108), three sun-cured cultivars(N. tabacum L. cv. Yonbyun 3, Jahengyon and Jaraehong), TI 1068, and thirty F$_1$ hybrids derived from them were sampled and the diterpenes were analysed using thin layer chromatography (TLC) procedures. DVT exudation from the leaf scerface could Ie detected in all coltivars and F$_1$ hybrids tested. TI 1068 and Yonbyun 3 had cis-abienol exdudates. Burley 21, KB 108, Jaheungyon, and Jaraehong had no spot of cis-abienol. It is considered that cis-abienol exdudation might be controlled by dominant gene(s). The cytoplasmic effect on the cis-abienol exdudation was not detected.

Polypyrrole (Ppy) nanowire has been electrochemically synthesized via vertically oriented mesoporous silica template. The mesoporous template is also electrochemically deposited on indium tin oxide coated (ITO) glass from tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) surfactant. The highly ordered silica template is demonstrated to be 100~120nm thick with the pores of 4~5 nm diameter by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM). Ppy is formed to fill pores of the silica template from pyrrole solution by electrochemical oxidation. The Ppy in Ppy/silica/ITO composite was found to exhibit reversible electrochemical activity, as characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV).

Recently, with the explosive increase of video streaming services, real-time live broadcasting has also increased, which leads to an infringement problem for user privacy. So, to solve such problems, we proposed the real image blurring system using dlib face-recognition library. 68 face landmarks are extracted and convert into 128 vector values. After that the proposed system tries to compare this value with the image in the database, and if it is over 0.45, it is considered as different person and image blurring processing is performed. With the proposed system, it is possible to solve the problem of user privacy infringement, and also to be utilized to detect the specific person. Through experimental results, the proposed system has an accuracy of more than 90% in terms of face recognition.

This study was conducted to evaluate effect of liquid fertilizer contained medium of Lactobacillus confusa and Pichia anoala on growth of creeping bentgrass(Agrostis palustris Huds. CV. Pennlixs). By application method of liquid fertilizer, the experiment plot was designed as following; NF was non-fertilized treatment, control was applied with compound fertilizer and treatment 1(T-1), treatment 2(T-2) and treatment 3(T-3) were applied with compound fertilizer and liquid fertilizer solution diluted 500, 300 and 100 folds, respectively. The every treatments was arranged a randomized complete block with three replications. Compared with NF, leaf color index of control, T-1, T-2 and T-3 in creeping bentgrass was increased 7.4%, 7.5%, 77% and 7.2%, respectively and chlorophyll content of T-1, T-2 and T-3 in creeping bentgrass was increased 45.7%, 45.6%, 52.1% and 49.6%, respectively, and T-2 and T-3 was increased 4.4% and 2.7% more than control. Dry weight of T-1, T-2 and T-3 was increased 2.7%, 13.8% and 13.9% more than control, when compared to control. These results were found that turfgrass qualities and growth was improved in treatment applied to compound fertilizer and solution of liquid fertilizer diluted 300 folds.
