Investigation and Analysis of Hazards for Cultivation Environment to Establish the Good Agricultural Practices(GAP) of Soybean (콩 GAP 모델 확립을 위한 재배환경의 위해요소 조사 및 분석)

  • Soybean farms in Changnyeong were selected for hazard analysis to establish the Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) model of soybean, and physical, chemical(heavy metal) and biological(sanitary indications, foodborne pathogens) hazard analysis for cultivation environment (soil, water) was carried out. First, bow which is able to be mixed in soil and water was confirmed as physical hazard. Levels (Cd:0.01~0.103, Cu:0.001~6.036, As:0.006~3.045, Hg:ND~0.041, Pb:0.003~3.952, $Cr^{+6}$:0.007~0.496, Zn:0.001~66.500, Ni:0.003~18.010) of heavy metals in soil and water were appropriate for GAP criteria. In biological hazard, APC and coliform in soil were detected at the levels of $6.0{\pm}0.3$ and $3.6{\pm}1.6$ log CFU/g, and levels of water were $3.5{\pm}0.7$ and $1.9{\pm}0.7$ log CFU/mL, while E. coli wasn't detected in all sample. However, coliform in water wasn't appropriate for criteria, and E. coli O157 was detected about 22% in some farms, so it needs ways to prevent contamination by human and animals excrements. In conclusion, it needs proper management to prevent cross-contamination of hazards although physical and chemical hazard level were appropriate for GAP criteria while biological hazard wasn't.

  • The failure analysis on fractured parts is divided into the qualitative method by naked eyes and metallurgical microscope etc. and the quantitative method by SEM and X-ray diffraction etc. X-ray fractography can be applied to contaminated surface as well as clean surface and gain the plastic deformation and the residual stress near the fractured surface. Turbine blade is subject to cyclic bending force by steam pressure and suffers fatigue damage according to the increasing operating time. Therefore, to clean up the fracture mechanism of torsion-mounted blade in nuclear plant, the fatigue and the X-ray diffraction test was performed on the 12%Cr steel fur turbine blade and the fractured parts. The correlation of X-ray parameter and fracture mechanics parameter was determined, and then the load applied to actual broken turbine blade was predicted. Failure analysis was performed by contact stress analysis and Goodman diagram of torsion-mounted blade.

  • PACS 유지보수 서비스의 중요성을 살펴보고 PACS 분분별 제안요청 요소를 분석하여 향후 시스템 유지보수 계약의 지표를 제공하는데 목적이 있으며 경희의료원의 PACS 유지보수 제안서요청의 사례를 중심으로 유지보수 RFP 작성의 필요성, 중요사항 및 분야별 요구사항 등에 대하여 기술한다. 제안 부문은 9 개로 구분하였으며 총 139 항목의 제안 요청 사항을 정리하였다. 제안 요소 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. PACS 유지보수 분야는 PACS Software 부문, 데이터베이스 부문, 서버 및 스토리지 부문, 네트워크 부문, CR 및 DR System 등과 같은 영상획득장치에 관한 부문, 판독용 및 임상용 모니터 부문 등으로 구분하며, 각 부문별 제안 요구사항을 기술한 제안요청서를 작성하여 각 부문별 제안서를 요청하여야 한다. 2. 병원에서는 PACS 부문의 외주관리를 체계적으로 구분 관리하여 시스템 유지보수의 수준을 높이고 이를 질 높은 의료서비스로 연계되도록 하여야 한다. 3. PACS 관련 회사는 병원에서 요청된 제안 요청사항을 수용하며 질 높은 관련부문 서비스를 제공하기위한 기술적 배경을 체계화하여야하며 향후 주요 매출원으로 자리 잡게 될 유지보수 서비스를 상품으로 인식하고 이에 대한 적극적인 상품화전략과 홍보 노력이 필요하다.

Study of Ocular Components in Determining the Refractive State of the Eye (굴절이상을 결정하는 안광학 요소에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relationship between ocular components and refractive error for human eye. Ocular components were measured by keratometry, phakometry, and ultrasonography. Refractive error was measured by subjective refraction on 38 subjects aged from 17 to 30. The results were as follows; 1) Refractive error and axial length, vitreous chamber depth, axial length/corneal radius were highly correlated that the correlation coefficients were 0.95, 0.96, 0.95, respectively. 2) Refractive error and corneal radius, corneal power, lens thickness were correlated with the correlation coefficients for 0.60, 0.66, 0.67 respectively. 3) There were no significant correlation between refractive error and corneal thickness.

  • An elastic-viscoplastic finite element analysis is performed to investigate detailed growth behavior of creep cracks and the numerical results are compared with experimental results. In Cr-Mo steel stress fields obtained from the crack growth method by mesh translation were compared with both cases that the secondary creep rate is only used as creep material property and the primary creep rate is included. Analytical stress fields, Riedel-Rice(RR) field, Hart-Hui-Riedel(HR) field and Prime(named in here) field, and the results obtained by numerical method were evaluated in details. Time vs. stress at crack tip was showed and crack tip stress fields were plotted. These results were compared with analytical stress fields. There is no difference of stress distribution at remote region between the case of 1st creep rate+2nd creep rate and the case of 2nd creep rate only. In case of slow velocity of crack growth, the effect of 1st creep rate is larger than the one of fast crack growth rate. Stress fields at crack tip region we, in order, Prime field, HR field and RR field from crack tip.

Study for Possible Crack Propagation Mechanisms for a Surface Cracked in a Polyethylene Tibia Component Subject to Rolling and Sliding Contact (구름마찰접촉하중 시 Polyethylene tibia 요소의 표면균열 복합전파 거동에 관한 연구)

  • Pitting wear is a dominant form of polyethylene surface damage in total knee replacements, and may originate from surface cracks that propagate under repeated tribological contact. In this study, stress intensity factors, $K_{I}$ and $K_{II}$, were calculated for a surface crack in a polyethylene - CoCr - bone system under the rolling and/or sliding contact pressures. Crack length and load location were considered in determination of probable crack propagation mechanisms and fracture modes. Positive $K_{I}$ values were obtained for shorter cracks in rolling contact and for all crack lengths when the sliding load was apart from the crack. $K_{II}$, was the greatest when the load was directly adjacent to the crack $(g/a={\pm}1)$. Sliding friction caused a substantial increase of both $K_{I}^{max}$ and $K_{II}^{max}$. The effective Mode I stress intensity factors, $K_{eff}$, were the greatest at $g/a={\pm}1$, showing the significance of high shear stresses generated by loads adjacent to surface cracks. Such behavior of $K_{eff}$ suggests mechanisms for surface pitting by which surface cracks may propagate along their original plane under repeated rolling or sliding contact.

Risk Analysis for the Harvesting Stage of Tomato Farms to Establish the Good Agriculture Practices(GAP) (GAP 모델 확립을 위한 토마토 농장 수확단계의 위해요소 조사 및 분석)

  • Samples collected from six tomato farms(A, B, C : soil culture, D, E, F : Nutriculture) located in Gyeongsangnam-do were tested for the analyses of biological(sanitary indications, major foodborne pathogens, fungi), chemical(heavy metals, pesticides) and physical hazards. The highest levels of total bacteria(7.5 log CFU/g) and coliforms(5.0 log CFU/g) in soil culture farms were higher than those of nutriculture farms(total bacteria: 2.5 log CFU/mL, coliforms: 0.6 log CFU/mL). In crops and personal hygiene soil culture farms showed a slightly higher contamination levels. From all farms, the levels of fungi in soil farms were higher than those of nutrient solution. In case of major pathogens, Bacillus cereus and Staphylococcus aureus were detected in all sample with the exception of nutrient solution. Meantime, Escherichia coli, Listeria monocytogenes, E.coli O157 and Salmonella spp. were not detected. For airborne bacteria, soilculture farms showed less contamination than nutriculture farms. A piece of glass and can was confirmed asphysical hazards. Heavy metal(Cd, Pb, Cu, Cr, Hg, Zn, Ni and As) and pesticide residues as chemical hazards were detected, but their levels were lower than the regulation limit. These results demonstrate that potential hazards on harvesting stage of tomato fam were exposed. Therefore, proper management is needed to prevent biological hazards due to cross-contamination, while physical and chemical hazards were in appropriate levels based on GAP criteria.

  • 지식베이스 시스템의 중요한 구성 요소로는 유용한 지식베이스의 어떤 조합이 주어진 과업을 위해서 선택된 문제 해결자의 요구사항을 만족시키는지를 고찰하는 지식베이스 집합과 문제 해결자들의 집합을 들 수 있다. 가능한 조합을 인식하는 것은 일련의 제약만족문제를 실험하는 것과 해결될 수 없는 것을 제거하는 것을 필요로 하는데, 제약만족 문제의 모순성 발견을 신속히 하기 위해 본 연구에서는 제약을 제거함에 의해서 제약만족문제를 완화시키는 방법을 사용하였다. 완화 접근법을 시험하기 위해서, 기존의 급성복통과 관련된 지능형 질환 진단 시스템(A-IDS-DAAP)과 제약을 제거함에 의해서 제약만족문제를 완화시키는 방법을 적용한 급성복통과 관련된 지능형 질환 진단 시스템(CR-IDS-DAAP)을 가지고 실험을 하여 평균 수행시간을 감소시켜 시스템의 성능을 향상시키게 되었다.

A Study on Fracture Mechanism of Torsion-Mounted Type Turbine Blade (비틀림 마운트형 터빈 블레이드의 파괴기구에 관한 연구)

  • Turbine blade is subject to torsional load by torsion-mount, centrifugal load by rotation of rotor and repeated bending load by steam pressure. Turbine with partially cracked blade has normal working condition at initial repair time but vibratory working condition at middle repair time due to crack growth. Finite element analysis on turbine blade indicates that repeated bending load out of all loads is the most important factor on fatigue strength of turbine blade. Therefore, this study shows root mean square roughness has linear relation with stress intensity factor range in 12% Cr steel and can predict loading condition of fractured turbine blade.

  • Non linear finite element analyses were performed in various configurations of stem-ball head. High stresses were found for the cases when the stem tended to penetrate less into the ball head. An upgraded design of the cone may improve the loading of the ball head to resist trauma-like loading more effectively than manipulating the ball diameter. When the surgeon needs to use small ball heads (i.e. 22 mm), the use of zirconia seems to be appropriate also. After simulating a trauma like loading of the materials, it was found that the deepness of the cone to locate the stem is of major importance for the performance of the device. Further work, considering more sizes for the cone design should be performed in order to determine an optimal depth for the cone in relation to the diameter of the ball head. Also the simulation of contacts pairs including polyethylene and CoCr is important for further research.
