  • In this paper, we develop noninformative priors that are used for estimating the ratio of failure rates under Freund's bivariate exponential distribution. A class of priors is found by matching the coverage probabilities of one-sided Baysian credible interval with the corresponding frequentist coverage probabilities. Also the propriety of posterior under the noninformative priors is proved and the frequentist coverage probabilities are investigated for small samples via simulation study.

  • This paper first discusses the existing non-homogeneous Poisson process(NHPP) software reliability growth model(SRGM) frameworks with respect to capability of representing software reliability growth phenomenon. As an enhancement of representational capability a new general coverage-based NHPP SRGM framework is developed. Issues associated with application of the new framework are then considered.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting temperature of urban parks to grasp the relationship between the land coverage in open space as well as the forest condition and decreasing city temperature by difference of purposed are. Futhermore, this research interpreted the relationship between wind direction, air temperature, the land coverage of the green space, the number of tree, green volume, height of tree and the mitigation of city temperature with the revolution analysis. The result of this study is that cool air in open space move leeward and decreasing city temperature is influenced by the difference of the land coverage in open space. Specifically, in order of the arbo $r_{-a}$rbor in the forest zone, the increase of the number of trees was related with temperature surrounding significantly. This study found that the use possibility of the green volume was recognized as the index of the green volume relative to air temperature surrounding. Green space of the city control area is more effective decreasing temperature than that of housing zone.

  • Both coordinated multi-point transmission and frequency reuse are effective approaches to mitigate inter-cell interference and improve network coverage. The motivation of this work is to explore the manner to effectively utilize the spectrum resource by reasonably combining cooperation and frequency reuse. The $Mat{\acute{e}}rn$ cluster process, which is appropriate to model networks with hot spots, is used to model the spatial distribution of base stations. Two cooperative mechanisms, coherent and non-coherent joint transmission (JT), are analyzed and compared. We also evaluate the effect of multiple antennas and imperfect channel state information. The simulation reveals that the proposed approach to combine cooperation and frequency reuse is effective to improve the network coverage for users located at both the center and the boundary of the cooperative region.

  • Generally, the standard sizes of military combat fatigues should be determined by considering the coverage rate in order to minimize the military personnel who can't put on the ready made military combat fatigues. The coverage rate should be increased by the longer interval of the standard size but the satisfactory rate will be decreased due to the longer interval of size. This study develops a method selecting optimal standard sizes of the military combat fatigues in order to maximize the satisfactory rate that insures the coverage rate to meet a given level for ready made military combat fatigues. This method selects candidate standard sizes at second and finally, establishes a 0-1 inter programming model. The result shows that the method increases both coverage and satisfactory rate more than those of the previous method.

  • One of the significant issues in cluster analysis is to identify a proper number of clusters hidden under given data. In this paper we propose a novel approach to systematically determine the number of clusters based on Input Representation Coverage (IRC), which is newly defined as a quantified value of how well original input data in Gaussian feature space can be captured with a certain number of clusters. Furthermore, its usability and applicability is also investigated via experiments with synthetic data. Our experiment results show that the proposed approach is quite useful in approximately finding the real number of clusters implicitly contained in the data.

  • The National Health Insurance Corporation has been retrieving from health care providers the payments made to them by insured patients as a result of the health care providers' arbitrary denial of coverage under the National Health Insurance, and has been disbursing such retrieved monies back to the patients, pursuant to Article 57, Sections 1 and 4 of the National Health Insurance Act. However, such practice is an application of the law that lacks legal exactitude. Another problem with such practice is that there is no legal provision under any laws or notices that expressly prohibits arbitrary denial of coverage. A legislative solution, therefore, is called for to address these issues.

  • Key frame extraction has been recognized as one of tile important research issues in video information retrieval. Although progress has been made in key frame extraction, the existing approaches do not evaluate the importance of extracted frame Quantitatively, and Dey are computationally expensive or ineffective. In this Paper, we introduce a new 미해rithm for key frame extraction using shot coverage and distortion. The algorithm finds significant key frames from candidate key frames. When selecting the candidate frames, the coverage rate to the total frames from each frame is computed by using the difference between the adjacent frames in tile shot. The frames within 10$\%$ from the top are selected as the candidates. Then, by comfuting the distortion rate of the candidates against all frames, pick the frames which arc most representative are selected. The performance of the proposed algorithm has been verified by a statistical test. Experiments show that more than 13-50$\%$ improvement has been obtained by the proposed algorithm compared to the existing methods.

  • The changes in work function due to hydrogen and deuterium adsorption on W(123) plane are measured by means of Field Emission Method. In the case of hydrogen or deuterium adsorption, work function of W(123) plane at 78 K increase and after a maxium value, it decrease and saturated as increasing coverage. After annealing the tungsten emission tip at 200 K, the coverage corresponding to maximum change in work function was shifted toward low coverage and the effect of work function by terraces or steps of which orientation is [ O l l ] was observed.
