Physical Properties of $Ba_{1-x}Sr_x(Mg{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3$Ceramics ($Ba_{1-x}Sr_x(Mg{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3$ 세라믹스의 물리적 특성)

  • The physical and electrical properties of $\textrm{Ba}_1$ $_{x}\textrm{Sr}_{x}$($\textrm{Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3}}$)$\textrm{O}_3$ (x =0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0) ceramics were investigated. The Bal $_{x}\textrm{Sr}_{x}$($\textrm{Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3}}$)$\textrm{O}_3$ systems were shown that the hexagonally ordered superlattices were increased with increasing x values. The relative densities of all samples were over 97% theoretical densities. The dc resistivities of samples were $10^{13}$ - $10^{14}$$\Omega\textrm{cm}$at room temperature, these values were nearly constant at 130(x=0)-$230^{\circ}C$ (x=l). However, the resistivities of samples decreased rapidly above those temperature and their activation energies were from 1.0 to 1.52 eV. The relative dielectric constant was 33(BMN) and 30.6(SMN) respectively. And the highest value was shown at x=0.4 and the value was 34.3. The temperature coefficient of dielectric constant was -61 ppm/$^{\circ}C$(BMN) and 79 ppm/$^{\circ}C$ (SMN) respectively.

내장형 무선 카메라를 이용한 ICP 보조 스퍼터링 장치의 실시간 모니터링

  • 유도 결합 플라즈마 (ICP)는 축전 결합 플라즈마 (CCP) 보다 상대적으로 높은 밀도의 플라즈마를 발생시킬 수 있다. 또한 구조가 간단하고 기존 스퍼터링 장치의 내부에 추가 설치가 용이하며, 스퍼터된 입자의 이온화, 반응성 가스의 활성화를 위한 2차 플라즈마원으로 적용이 가능하다. 그러나 대면적의 고밀도 플라즈마의 균일도 측정은 고가의 2D probe array등을 사용하여야 한다. 본 연구에서는 간단한 CCD camera를 챔버 내부에 삽입하여 가시광 영역의 적분 강도를 이용해서 플라즈마의 2차원적 균일도를 정성적으로 비교 판단하고 시간에 따른 국부적인 이상 방전을 감시할 수 있도록 내장형 무선 카메라를 사용하였다. 직경 380 mm의 챔버 내에 2 turn ICP antenna를 이용하여 유도 결합 플라즈마를 발생시켰다(Ar 30 sccm, 35 mTorr, 2 MHz, 400 W). 내장형 무선 카메라를 챔버 내부 중앙의 ICP antenna에서 8 cm 아래에 위치시켜 플라즈마를 진공 중에서 촬영하였다. 내장형 무선 카메라를 챔버 내부에 위치하여 촬영한 결과 외부에서 view port로 쉽게 확인할 수 없는 ICP antenna 내부의 고밀도 플라즈마의 불균일도를 평가할 수 있었고, ICP antenna 가장자리에서 중심으로 이동할수록 밝아지는 것을 토대로 중심 영역의 plasma 밀도가 가장 높다는 것을 알 수 있었고, 채도와 명도의 차이를 이용하여 시각적인 플라즈마 균일도를 분석하였으며 이를 플라즈마 모델링 기능이 있는 전산 유체 역학 프로그램인 CFD ACE+를 이용하여 플라즈마 분포를 모델링 및 비교하였다. 또한 인라인 타입의 마그네트론 스퍼터링 시스템에서 기판 캐리어에 무선 카메라를 장착하여 이동하면서 캐리어와 마그네트론 방전 공간의 상대적인 위치에 따른 마그네트론 방전링의 형상 변화도 관찰하였다.

NO2 gas sensing properties of UV activated ZnS nanowires at room temperature (상온에서 UV 활성화된 ZnS 나노와이어의 NO2 가스 검출 특성)

  • ZnS nanowires were synthesized in order to investigate $NO_2$ gas sensing properties. They were grown on the sapphire substrate using ZnS powders. SEM (scanning electron microscopy) showed the diameter and length of the ZnS nanowires were approximately in the range of 50 - 100 nm and a few $10s\;{\mu}m$, respectively. They were also found to be composed of Wurtzite- structured single crystals from TEM (transmission electron microscopy) analysis. $NO_2$ gas sensing performance of the ZnS nanowire was measured with electrical resistance changes caused by $NO_2$ gas with a concentration of 1-5ppm. The sensor was UV treated with an intensity of $1.2mW/cm^2$ to facilitate charge carrier transfer. The responses of the ZnS nanowires to the $NO_2$ gas at room temperature, treated with UV of two different wavelengths of 365 nm and 254 nm, are measured to be 124.53 - 206.87 % and 233.97 - 554.83%, respectively. In the current work, the effect of UV treatment on the gas sensing performance of the ZnS nanowires was studied. And the underlying mechanism for the electrical resistance changes of the ZnS nanowires by $NO_2$ gas was also discussed.

  • The changes in hydration of brown rice, Chu-chung byeo(Japonica type) were determined during storage at different storage temperatures($4^{\circ}C$, 2$0^{\circ}C$, 3$0^{\circ}C$ and 4$0^{\circ}C$) in a 4-layered laminated film pouch(PET 12${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$/AI-foil 7${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$/o-Nylon 15${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$/L-Mix100${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$). At the beginning of storage, the hydration rate of brown rice increased with higher soaking temperature, and the activation energy of hydration was 10.3kcal/mole. Water diffusion coefficient of brown rice due to storage temperature during storage at 3$0^{\circ}C$ of soaking temperature was decreased by the elapse of storage periods and increment of storage temperature(below 3$0^{\circ}C$). ).

  • Background : The necessity of unify and standardize codes used at hospital has been emphasized since OCS (Order Communicating System) was adopted. Therefore, the purpose of this study were to standardize operation code by continuous training of the ICD-9-CM code that is used as standard code in OCS program at operating room. Method : In 400 operation data, operation code entered in OCS program at operating room was compared to operation name recorded in medical record. In addition, a matching rate between input data of operation code by medical record department and computing input data of operation code in 3,710 cases was compared for each department. User operation name and operation code were matched and major diagnosis by operation department and operation name were also matched. Results : User operation name was reflected in operation classification code in detail, and operation code entered on user was registered. Input rate and matching rate of operation code were gradually improved after improvement activity. In particular, a matching rate was high at ophthalmology where operation name is segmented. Plastic surgery and orthopedics with a lot of emergency operation and comprehensive operation name show low input rates. Conclusions : As the medical field makes progress in computerlization, awareness of information exchange and sharing becomes higher. Among codes to classified medical institution, codes related to surgical operation are all different by user of hospital and department. Computerlization and standardization is essential. And when efforts of standardization continue in alliance with individual hospital and institution, initiative of preparing medical policy data at a national level will be accelerated.

Silybin Synergizes with Wnt3a in Activation of the Wnt/${\beta}$-catenin Signaling Pathway through Stabilization of Intracellular ${\beta}$-Catenin Protein (Silybin에 의한 Wnt/${\beta}$-catenin 신호전달체계의 활성화)

  • The Wnt/${\beta}$-catenin signaling pathway regulates diverse developmental processes and adult tissue homeostasis. Inappropriate regulation of this pathway has been associated with human diseases, such as cancers, osteoporosis, and Alzheimer's disease. Using a cell-based chemical screening with natural compounds, we discovered silybin, a plant flavonoid isolated from the Silybum marianum, which activated the Wnt/${\beta}$-catenin signaling pathway in a synergy with Wnt3a-conditioned medium (Wnt3a-CM). In the presence of Wnt3a-CM, silybin up-regulated ${\beta}$-catenin response transcription (CRT) in HEK293-FL reporter cells and 3T3-L1 preadipocytes through stabilization of intracellular ${\beta}$-catenin protein. Silybin and Wnt3a-CM synergistically reduced expression of important adipocyte marker genes including peroxisome-proliferator-activated $receptor{\gamma}$ ($PPAR{\gamma}$) and CAATT enhancer-binding protein ${\alpha}$ (C/$EBP{\alpha}$) in 3T3-L1 preadipocytes, accompanied by the activation of Wnt/${\beta}$-catenin signaling pathway. Taken together, our findings indicate that silybin is a small-molecule synergist of the Wnt/${\beta}$-catenin signaling pathway and can be used as a controllable reagent for investigating biological processes that involve the Wnt/${\beta}$-catenin signaling pathway.

  • Among the various vegetables eggplant and gourd family can stand against high temperature environmental condition, about 35$^{\circ}C$. However, most of greenhouse farmers are giving up crop cultivation during hot summer season due to extreme temperature, 4$0^{\circ}C$ or above, condition of greenhouse interior. To improve this inferior crop growth condition, for nozzle system was installed in the pet greenhouse and the effect of fog system was investigated in order to determine fog water amount and the required fog nozzle numbers according to house volumes. MEE fog nozzle was selected for this Investigation which can produce water particle size of 27${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ with water amount of 100$m\ell$ at pumping pressure of 70kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$. House cooling test was conducted in the pet greenhouse with one minute fogging and one minute air ventilation without stopping. It maintained 32$^{\circ}C$ at the house interior when the atmosphere and the house temperature were 35 and 4$0^{\circ}C$, respectively. And, an experimental equation was developed through calculating the changes of relative humidity and temperature with psychrometric equation which revealed the moisture transfer pattern between the house air and fog system. It showed that the required water fogging amounts to reduce 1$0^{\circ}C$, 40 to 3$0^{\circ}C$, needs 80.7$\ell$ for 1-2W(8,350㎥) and 99.9$\ell$ for 3-2G-3S(10,330㎥) type greenhouse with particle size of 27${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$.

Effects of Cycloheximide on Development of In Vitro Matured Porcine Oocytes Activated following Eelectric Pulse (전기자극 후 Cycloheximide 처리가 돼지난자의 활성화에 미치는 효과)

  • We investigated the optimal concentration and exposure time of cycloheximide(CHX) on development of activated porcine oocytes following electrical pulse(EP). After 42~44 h maturation, oocytes were treated with 0.1% hyaluronidase, and denuded cumulus cells by pipetting. Oocytes were stimulated by electric pulse (1.2 kV/cm, 30 $\mu$sec, 1 pulse) or incubated for 3, 5 and 7 h in cycloheximide (1, 5 and 10 $\mu\textrm{g}$/$m\ell$, respectively) following electric pulse, and cultured for 8 days. Cleavage rate of oocytes activated with 10 $\mu\textrm{g}$/$m\ell$ CHX following EP was significantly (P<0.05) higher than those of 1 $\mu\textrm{g}$/$m\ell$ (86.8% vs. 74.4%). The developmental competence of oocytes incubated to 5 $\mu\textrm{g}$/$m\ell$ of CHX was significantly (P<0.05) higher development to blastocysts (13.3%), compared with 10 $\mu\textrm{g}$/$m\ell$ of CHX (5.6%). When the oocytes were activated with 5$\mu\textrm{g}$/$m\ell$ CHX for 3, 5, and 7 h following EP, the cleavage rate of oocytes in 5 h group(86.6%) was significantly (P<0.05) higher than that in 3 h group(73.2%). The developmental rate of oocytes to morula in 5 and 7 h groups(26.7% and 16.4%) were significantly (P<0.05) high than that in 3 h group(14.5%). Matured oocytes were activated with electric pulse (EP) or electric pulse combined with cycloheximide (EP + CHX) and cultured for 8 days. The rate of cleavage and development to blastocyst (80.1% and 11.6%) of activated with EP group were similar to EP combined with CHX group. When activated with EP or EP combined with CHX, the mean cell number of blastocysts were less in the activated with EP (18.67$\pm$5.53) than in the activated EP combined CHX (20.71$\pm$6.16), but not significantly different. This results suggest that, when the porcine oocytes were activated with CHX following EP, the developmental rate of activated oocytes can be improved by treated with a concentration of 5 $\mu\textrm{g}$/$m\ell$ CHX for 5 h exposure time.

Preparation and Characterization of White Bread with Sweet Persimmon (단감을 첨가한 식빵의 제조 및 특성)

  • To increase utilization of Korean sweet persimmon, white breads containing sweet persimmon were prepared and those characterizations were evaluated. WB (white bread without persimmon), FPB (white bread containing 30% (w/w) persimmon flesh), and WPB (white bread containing 30% (w/w) whole persimmon) were prepared by straight dough method. Specific volumes of WB, FPB, and WPB were 3.51, 2.99 and 3.21 $cm^3$/g, respectively. Loss of bread of WB, FPB, and WPB were 9.81, 7.78, and 8.86%. With addition of sweet persimmon in bread, the lightness (L) was decreased, and the redness (a) and the yellowness (b) were increased. DPPH radical scavenging activity, one of antioxidant activity, of WB, FPB, WPB at concentration of 10 mg/mL was $12.39{\pm}0.135$, $14.57{\pm}0.01$, and $19.57{\pm}0.44%$, respectively. Total phenolic contents of WB, FPB and WPB were $177.05{\pm}5.52$, $185.26{\pm}0.79$, and $216.24{\pm}5.47$ mg GAE/g. Hardness of WB were 175.33 Dyne/$cm^3$, and the value was decreased in FPB and WPB. In sensory test, FPB acquired relatively high points in texture, flavor, taste, and overall acceptance.

Growth and Characterization of AgGa$Se_2$ Single Crystal Thin Films by Hot Wall Epitaxy (Hot Wall Epitaxy (HWE)법에 의한 AgGa$Se_2$ 단결정 박막 성장과 특성)

  • The stochiometric $AgGaSe_2$ polycrystalline mixture of evaporating materials for the $AgGaSe_2$ single crystal thin film was prepared from horizontal furnace. To obtain the single crystal thin films, $AgGaSe_2$ mixed crystal and semi-insulating GaAs(100) wafer were used as source material and substrate for the Hot Wall Epitaxy (HWE) system, respectively. The source and substrate temperature were fixed at$ 630^{\circ}C$ and $420^{\circ}C$, respectively. The thickness of grown single crystal thin films is 2.1$\mu\textrm{m}$. The single crystal thin films were investigated by photoluminescence and double crystal X-ray diffraction(DCXD) measurement. The carrier density and mobility of AgGaSe$_2$ single crystal thin films measured from Hall effect by van der Pauw method are $4.89\Times10^{17}$ cm$^{-3}$ , 129cm2/V.s at 293K, respectively. From the Photocurrent spectrum by illumination of perpendicular light on the c-axis of the AgGaSe$_2$ single crystal thin film, we have found that the values of spin orbit splitting $$\Delta$S_{o}$ and the crystal field splitting $\Delta$C$_{r}$, were 0.1762eV and 0.2474eV at 10K, respectively. From the photoluminescence measurement of AgGaSe$_2$ single crystal thin film, we observed free excision (EX) observable only in high quality crystal and neutral bound exciton ($D^{o}$ , X) having very strong peak intensity. And, the full width at half maximum and binding energy of neutral donor bound excition were 8mev and 14.1meV, respectively. By Haynes rule, an activation energy of impurity was 141 meV.ion energy of impurity was 141 meV.
