  • In this study, the concrete compressive strength estimation system Concrete IoT Management System (hereinafter referred to as CIMS) was developed, and CIMS was applied to domestic field structure slabs and wall concrete to check whether CIMS is practically available and to estimate the accuracy of the initial strength estimation of concrete. As a result, it shows a very high correlation when the compressive strength of the specimen for structural management is compared with the estimated strength of CIMS in terms of integrated temperature, and it is expected to be gradually applied to domestic construction sites in the future.

  • In this study, by applying the concrete compressive strength estimation system Concrete IoT Management System (hereinafter referred to as CIMS) to the concrete slab concrete in the domestic field, the purpose of this study is to confirm the practical use of CIMS and to verify the accuracy of estimating the initial strength of concrete. As a result, it shows a high correlation when the compressive strength and CIMS estimated strength of the specimen for structural management are converted and compared with the integrated temperature. However, in order to determine a more accurate experimental constant, it is necessary to consider the results up to 28 days.

  • The role of CIMS(Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems) is to integrate various applications throughout a product's life cycle. STEP is an international effort to standardize information models and interfaces so that independently developed applications can be easily integrated. A prototype for the Ship CIMS is built using STEP. In this prototype, the information model defined by EXPRESS is translated into database schemas. In this paper, we explain the operation of this prototype using the examples from two application programs, i.e., the Block Division System and the Erection System which are used for the process planning of ship manufacturing. As an example. Real data stored in a relational database system(Oracle) is presented in this paper.

  • The aim of the research is analyzing the performance of the concrete IoT management system invented with similar technique from 'G' company to certify the performance of CIMS. As a results, the compressive strength assessing performance was compared. Since both systems assess concrete compressive strength with maturity method based on measured concrete temperature, both systems measured concrete temperature similarly, and maturity was calculated similarly. Therefore, the assumed compressive strength values were similar for both systems. Therefore, through the test, compressive strength assessing performance of CIMS was considered as a similar level of the 'G' company's system. Furthermore, it is considered that the CIMS has an additional advantage of reusability, adding capability of additional sensor, and wider range of Bluetooth communication.

Insulation Effect of Double Layered Bubble Sheet Application in Cold Weather Concrete and Initial Quality Control by Wireless Sensor Network (한중시공에서 2중 버블시트 포설에 따른 단열 효과분석 및 무선센서 네트워크에 의한 초기 품질관리)

  • The objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of the application of double layered bubble sheet on the curing of slab and wall concrete placed at the job site in cold weather and to offer a feasibility of Concrete IoT Management System(CIMS), which is wireless sensor network developed by the authors, to manage early age quality of the concrete in terms of temperature, maturity and strength development. Test results indicated that the application of bubble sheet enhances the insulation performance, which results in an increase of the temperature by around 1~20. 6℃. It is found that CIMS can gather the temperature, maturity and strength development data from the sensors embedded from 30 m far from CIMS successfully. Predicted compressive strengths by CIMS had good agreement with measured ones within 2 MPa error level until 7 days. It is thought that the combination of the bubble sheet application for cold weather protection and CIMS for quality management tool in cold weather concreting contributes to shorten the time for the form removal by one day.

  • This paper proposes the ITMS(Intelligent Transport Monitoring System) which manages the route and state of freight by using the Meteorological Office, the Transportation Management Center, GPS and Sensors, etc. The ITMS consists of the CIMS(Container Inner Monitoring System) transmitting the inner temperature and humidity of a container, the TMM(Transport Management Module) computing an estimated time of arrival with Freight Vehicle location information and transmits the result to the CIMS, the FMM(Freight Management Module) checking and managing the freight freshness by using the temperature and humidity of the collected containers, and the SMM(Stevedoring Management Module) selecting the container loading and unloading places with the information transmitted from the CIMS, the TMM, and the FMM and attaching the freight formation to containers using an RFID label. The ITMS not only checks the freight condition at intervals but also acquires and manages the freight information with RFID labels rapidly and accurately.

An Integrated Modeling Methodology on the CIMS for Ship Production (조선 CIMS에서의 통합 모형화 방법론)

  • Nowadays, the modeling of systems have been enabled by various models and methodologies that are used for different purpose and perspectives upon the systems. The integrated modeling methodology that integrates these models and methodologies has become challenging issues in system integration such as CIM and PDM. The primary objective of this paper is to propose the comprehensive integrated modeling methodology that integrates the Extended IDEF0 function model, OOIDEF0 information model, navigation model, interface model, and organization model for an effective analysis and design of the CIMS for ship production. This methodology can be used for the integrated system, and cover the systems development life cycle in an integrated fashion. In order to prove the consistency and efficiency of the proposed methodology, the CIMS for ship production is modeled.

  • Implementation of AGVS (Automated Guided Vehicle System) in CIMS (Computer Integrated Manufacturing System) generally requires substantial study to optimize design and performance of the guide path. Traditional mathematical approaches have been used with limited success to analyze AGVS. These approaches, however, do not provide a practical opportunity to use by path designers. This paper presents a new approach based on Jules in designing and assessing AGV path to have better design of the closed-loop layout. A framework for the approach is proposed and a case study is reported to demonstrate the framework. Deletion of seldom used paths and addition of bypasses to solve the congestion problem are conducted automatically through simulation expefiments. To visualize die results a graphic control program is developed and integrated with AutoMod/AutoGram simulation package.

The integrated modeling methodology that integrates these models and methodologies has become important concerns in system integration such as CIM and PDM. The primary objective of this paper is to propose a comprehensive integrated modeling methodology that integrates the OOIDEFO function model, OOIDEFO information model, node model, user interface model, and organization model for an effective analysis, design and implementation for system integration. This methodology covers the generic requirements of modeling methodology such as graphical notations, modeling processes, and abstraction mechanisms. Also, this methodology uses an 00 paradigm throughout the entire systems development life cycle. In order to prove the consistency and efficiency of the proposed methodology, the CIMS for ship production is modeled and prototyped.
