Smart phone users prefer fast reading and texting. Hence, users frequently use abbreviated sequences of words and phrases. Nowadays, abbreviations are widely used from chat terms to technical terms. Therefore, gathering abbreviations would be helpful to many services, including information retrieval, recommendation system, and so on. However, manually gathering abbreviations needs to much effort and cost. This is because new abbreviations are continuously generated whenever a new material such as a TV program or a phenomenon is made. Thus it is required to generate of abbreviations automatically. To generate Korean abbreviations, the existing methods use the rule-based approach. The rule-based approach has limitations, in that it is unable to generate irregular abbreviations. Another problem is to decide the correct abbreviation among candidate abbreviations generated rules. To address the limitations, we propose a method of generating Korean abbreviations automatically using sequence-to-sequence learning in this paper. The sequence-to-sequence learning can generate irregular abbreviation and does not lead to the problem of deciding correct abbreviation among candidate abbreviations. Accordingly, it is suitable for generating Korean abbreviations. To evaluate the proposed method, we use dataset of two type. As experimental results, we prove that our method is effective for irregular abbreviations.
The contextual subjective well-being (SWB) of context-aware system users can be very helpful in recommending relevant mental health services, especially for those who struggle with mental illness due to a metabolic syndrome or melancholia. Self-surveying measuring or auto-sensing methods have been suggested to monitor users' SWB. However, self-surveying measuring method is not inappropriate for a context-aware service due to requesting personal data in a manual and hence obtrusive manner. Moreover, auto-sensing methods still suffer from accuracy problem to be applied in mental health services. Hence, the purpose of this paper is to propose a contextual SWB estimation method to estimate the user's mental health in unobtrusive and accurate manners. This method is timely in that it acquires context data from the user's literal responses, which expose their temporal feeling. In particular, we developed a measuring method based on exposed feeling verbs and degree adverbs in chat and other text-based communications which show anger or negative feelings. Based on the proposed contextual SWB degree estimation method, we developed an idea of well-being life care recommendation. From the experiment with actual drivers, we demonstrated that the proposed method accurately estimate the user's degree of negative feelings even though it does not require a self-survey.

This study observes the fact that there exist restrictions due to the election-law-based regulations on web campaigns in Korea although web campaigns are widely spreading around the globe, and aims to analyze this aspect from the political context. As a result of the research, first, this study found out that Article 93, Clause 1 of the makes it possible to do permanent web campaigns on the strength of the Constitutional Court's decision of limited unconstitutionality, whereas Article 59 and 254 of the same Law(Election Campaign Offence) differ from the above Article 93, Clause 1; thus, it is necessary to revise the relevant law. Second, as for the request for taking measures for the depletion of ISP, etc., it is necessary to reform the provisions of the and together. Education systems throughout the world encourage their students to learn languages other than their native one. In Australia, our Education Boards provide students with the opportunity to learn European and Asian languages. French, German, Chinese and Japanese are the most popular languages studied in elementary and high schools. This choice is a reflection of Australias European heritage and its geographical position near Asia. In most non-English speaking countries, English is the foreign language most readily available to students. In Korea, the English language is actively promoted by the Education Department and, in less official ways, by companies and the public. It is impossible to be anywhere in Korea without seeing the English language alongside or intermingled with Korean. When I ask students why they are learning English, I receive answers that include the word globalization and the importance of English throughout the world. When I press further and ask why they personally are learning English, the students mention passing exams, usually high school tests or TOEIC, and the necessity of passing the latter to obtain a good job. Seldom do I ever hear anything about communication: about the desire to talk with other people in English, to read novels or poetry in English, to understand movies or pop-songs in English, to chat on the Internet in English, to search for information on the Internet in English, or to email pen-pals in English. Yet isnt communication the only valid reason for learning a language? We learn our native language to communicate with those around us. Shouldnt we set the same goal for learning a foreign language? In my opinion communication, whether it is reading and writing or speaking and listening, must be central to language learning. Learning a language to pass examinations is meaningless unless those examinations are a reliable indicator of the ability of the student to communicate. In previous eras, most communication in a foreign language was through reading novels or formal letters. This required a thorough knowledge of grammar and a large vocabulary. Todays communication is much less formal. Telephone conversations, tele-conferences, faxes and emails allow people to communicate regularly and informally. Reading materials are also less formal as popular novels and newspapers are available world-wide. Movies and popular songs have added to the range of informal communication available. Finally travel has ensured that people from different cultures will meet easily and regularly. This informal communication requires less emphasis on grammar and vocabulary and more emphasis on comprehension and confidence to speak. Placing communication central to language learning has important implications for the Education system and for teachers.
Purpose The innovation capability nowadays has become increasingly prominent in the universities not only for schools but also for teachers. However, due to less attention to the knowledge utilization and management, also some objective constraints, which caused the low level of the innovation capacity for our universities teachers under the current development in China. Meanwhile, transactive memory system (TMS) and knowledge sharing are important contents in knowledge management. The combination of both systems will contribute to a much more comprehensive understanding and performance of knowledge management. The purpose of this study is to investigate the structural relationships between TMS, knowledge sharing, and innovation capability among Chinese university teachers' teams, and to propose the practical implication to integrate effectively internal knowledge of the team to improve innovation capability. Design/methodology/approach In order to exam and verify the hypothesis proposed, we developed a questionnaire with 16 survey items, and each item comes with a five-point Likert-type scale. Hyperlink of online questionnaire was shared through WeChat. It's collected 201 responses from 14 universities in China, and the responders are teaching groups' leaders. And all together 191 responses were filtered out as the valid samples. And we analyze the data set and test research hypotheses by using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0. Findings All hypotheses are supported. The results reveal that knowledge sharing plays an important role in this study as the mediating role. TMS is positively associated with the innovation capability. And the knowledge sharing plays a significant role as mediating value between them, and influences the TMS's effect on innovation capability. It's thus cleared that if our teachers could well communicate, exchange and collaborate with other teachers in the same group, the innovation capability among the teachers would be improved effectively.
Most Social Network Service (SNS) provide online chat, video and file sharing, blogging and others. Because of this advantage, people depend on SNS to communicate with others. However, recently SNS encourage people to reveal too much information broadly so SNS users are concerned about privacy invasion and data spill. They also feel fatigue in process of touching people they don't know while using SNSs. That is the reason why they attempt to switch from opened SNS to Closed SNS. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to empirically investigate and analyze the effect of the factors on the SNS users' switching behavior when using SNS. To accomplish this purpose, this research adopted "Push-Pull-Mooring (PPM)" framework. The PPM is proposed by population geologist, who used it to explain the incentives of demographic migration. Following PPM model, this research empirically examines the three categories of antecedents for SNS switching intention toward closed SNS: push (i.e., weak connection, privacy concern, relative complexity), pull (i.e., enjoyment, belongingness, peer influence), mooring (i.e., SNS fatigue, user resistance) factors. The survey was conducted for 285 users on SNS communities in Korea. The results of this study are as follows; First, wear connection and privacy concern are significantly related to SNS switching intention. Second, enjoyment and belongingness are significantly related to SNS switching intention. Finally, the results show that SNS fatigue has a moderating effect on the links between push factors and SNS switching Intention. Also, user resistance has a moderating effect on the links between pull factors and SNS switching Intention. These findings contribute to the SNS literature both theoretically and practically.

LAMS(learning activity management system)[1] is one of the useful tools for designing and managing effectively the learning activities such as web search, chat, forum, grouping, and board. Even if LAMS has been upgraded to support the methods for making e-Learning contents conveniently, it does not have a method to communicate with external educational contents (EEC) made by external tools like Flash, Java, Visual C++, and so on. LAMS, which has been operated on Web environment, should manage all EECs like video and dynamic educational contents as educational contents in LAMS database. However, the current LAMS does not support the functionalities which can provide information of EECs to LAMS database and can also access any information about EECs from the database yet. In this paper, we propose the communication mechanism between the LAMS and EECs for solving the problem. In special, the mechanism makes many statistical data by using the information, and provides them for reflecting in education, and can control various learning management that was impossible under the original LAMS. Based on the proposed mechanism, teachers using LAMS can make more various educational contents and can manage them in the system.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the directions of information and communication technology(ICT) education in K-12 based on the analysis of ICT accessibility and utilization levels of Korean students. To this end, we analyzed the trends of Korea and OECD countries by survey period, focusing on the OECD PISA 'ICT familiarity survey' conducted in 2009, 2012 and 2015. The surveyed subjects were 15 year-old students and the analysis method was calculated based on the sampling weights. The results of the analysis of Korean students are as follows: First, ICT accessibility at home increased from 2009 to 2015, but was consistently lower than the OECD average. Second, the overall Internet usage time was lower than the OECD average. The Internet usage time on weekdays increased from 2012 to 2015, but on weekends decreased. Third, the ICT accessibility in schools decreased from 2009 to 2012, and increased in 2015, but was lower than the OECD average in 2015. Fourth, the student age ratio of first time computer usage increased from 2012 to 2015 and the average age for computer usage began before age 6, but was below the OECD average. Lastly, student use of digital devices for items such as Internet searches for entertainment and SNS activity has increased from 2012 to 2015, but the level of everyday use such as e-mail, online chat, program downloading, and reading Internet news has decreased. Based on these results, this study suggested policy plans for the improvement of ICT education for elementary and secondary school students in Korea.
This study aims to survey the effectiveness of the international distance learning between Korean and Japanese university students. This research is based on NWCCDL (Namseoul-Waseda Cross-Cultural Distance Learning) project in the spring semester, 2015. This project is the cross-cultural distance learning project between N University in Korea and W University in Japan, and the most important thing of this project is that this project is manipulated through the utilization of ICT. This research consists with two parts: the first is to introduce the NWCCDL project; the participants' information, and the contents and procedure of the on-line chatting program, and BBS(Bulletin Board System) activities. The second is to review on the students' satisfaction for the project and the utilization of ICT in English language education context. The analytic results of the questionnaire includes the students' satisfaction on this project and their reflection on the effectiveness of using ICT in English language classroom of Korea. The results prove that the most of the students are satisfied with the NWCCDL Project in the spring semester, 2015 and the most of the students agree with the fact that the utilization of ICT is very effective in English language education of Korea.
