  • 본 논문은 EDISON_CFD를 활용하여 화성에서 운용 가능한 풍력터빈에 대해 실험 및 개선 설계하였다. 본 연구에서는 화성의 중력 및 공기밀도 등 화성의 환경 데이터를 적용함으로써 풍력터빈의 형상을 새롭게 설계 하였다. 개선 설계는 기존의 풍력발전기 형상을 변형시키며 해석을 진행하였으며, 받음각과 형상에 따라 생성되는 토크를 확인하였다. 개선설계한 풍력터빈 모델은 단위 미터 당 약 8 W의 전력생산이 가능한 것을 확인하였다.

  • Artificial heart is divided by pulsation flow type and continuous flow type according to blood circulation pattern. Axial flow blood pump is a kind of continuous flow type artificial heart. Axial flow blood pump would be different pump performance according to impeller's shape and rotating velocity. Pump performance be able to compare by flow rate according to differential pressure and Impeller's rotating velocity. It confirms Impeller model of better efficiency according to compare Pump performance of axial flow blood pump using CFD with actual experiment result.

  • 고밀도 유도 결합 플라즈마와 함께 -1 kV의 높은 펄스 직류 바이어스를 이용한 플라즈마 공정 장치를 CFD-ACE+를 이용하여 시변 모델로 해석하였다. 수 kHz의 낮은 펄스주파수와 $5{\mu}s$의 빠른 펄스 상승 시간의 효과에 의한 플라즈마 특성을 모사한 결과 전자 온도의 상승과 그에 의한 플라즈마 가열은 펄스 상승 시간 보다 수 ${\mu}s$늦게 발생하였으며 쉬스의 팽창은 Ar 10 mTorr에서 약 20 mm정도이며 계산된 전자 온도는 최고 20 eV에 이른다.

  • The reformer is one of the most important chemical processes for the production of high purity hydrogen from fossil fuel. This study compares zero-dimensional model with CFD models for reaction analysis of methane-steam reformer. The zero-dimensional model is an empirical equation, however CFD model uses reactions of Arrhenius type. Because the reaction coefficients of the steam-methane catalytic reforming have not been reported before in the form of Arrhenius type, the present study aims to find the appropriate reaction coefficients. The used CFD code is Fluent 6.2 version. Several models are compared for the case of various operating temperature, mass of catalyst and steam to methane ratio.

  • To evaluate the unsteady motion in laterally berthing maneuver, it is necessary to grasp very clearly the magnitude and properties of the hydrodynamic forces acting on ship hull in shallow water. In this study, numerical calculation was made to investigate quantitatively the hydrodynamic force according to the water depth for Wigley model using the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) technique. Comparing the computational results to the experimental ones, the validity of the CFD method was verified. The numerical solutions evaluated the hydrodynamic force with good accuracy, and then captured the features of the flow field around the ship in detail. The transitional lateral force in a state ranging from rest to uniform motion is modeled by using the concept of the circulation.

  • On this Thesis, We conduct a research of curtain wall high-rise apartment located in Songdo for preparing a simple method to check possibility of condensation on each part of curtain wall using only indoor temperature, humidity and outdoor temperature. According to CFD analysis result, condensation occurred if indoor environment did not ventilated. On the other hand, in case of ventilation on indoor environment, condensation did not appear; so I could find ventilation prevent surface condensation on inside surface of curtain wall. Moreover, when temperature of the floor is higher, condensation is decrease more than lower floor temperature.

  • Recently, the massive offshore bridges in a ship passage have been constructed on the sea. Therefore, the ship impact protection for the bridge-piers are installed to consider the possibility of vessel collision danger. Due to the ship impact protection, the flow-field characteristics are changed in comparison with the condition without the ship impact protection. Especially, the fluid velocity between the pier and the ship impact protection is possible to increase due to the contraction of the cross sectional area of flow. In this study, the tidal energy magnitude around the ship impact protection of Incheon bridge is assessed by simulating the flow-field by using FLOW-3D software.

  • 캐스케이드형 연료전지 시스템에 있어서 각 스택의 단에서 전기화학반응에 의해 생성된 물을 분리하여 적절하게 배출시켜주는 것은 스택의 성능 및 내구성 향상을 위해 매우 중요하다. 이를 위해 연료전지 스택 각 단의 상이한 조건에 맞는 기액분리기의 설계가 필요하다. 유량에 따른 기액분리기의 부피와 원활한 연료 가스와 생성수의 분리를 위한 내부구조 및 입구 속도 등의 변수들에 따라 기액분리기의 성능 뿐만 아니라 연료전지 시스템 전체의 성능에 영향을 준다. 그러나 기액분리기의 폐쇄적 구조 때문에 실험을 통해 내부의 거동 및 현상을 파악할 수 없어 앞서 언급한 변수들의 효과를 확인할 수 없는 문제점이 있다. 이에 CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics, 전산유체역학)를 활용하여 각 조건에 따른 기액분리기 내부의 현상을 파악하고 이를 통해 기액분리기 설계를 최적화하였다.

  • This paper provides numerical results for the estimation of the efficiency of KRISO energy saving devices in the design stage. A finite volume method is used to solve Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations, where the SST k-$\omega$ model is selected for turbulence closure. The propeller rotating motion is determined using a rigid body motion (RBM) scheme, which is called a sliding mesh technique. The numerical analysis focuses on predicting the power reduction by the designed KRISO devices (K-DUCT) under a self-propulsion condition. The present numerical results show good agreement with the available experimental data. Finally, it is concluded that CFD can be a useful method, along with model tests, for assessing the performance of energy saving devices for propulsion efficiency improvement.

  • The behavior and flow characteristics of the floating wave energy converter were analyzed by using CFD in this study. The average significant wave height was confirmed as 0.5~2.0m from the Korean coastal sea area. This study was carried out by selecting a range of 1.0~1.6m in the wave height to simulate the operations of realistic wave energy converter system. The principle of a piston wave maker was applied in order to produce periodic wave. The behavior of the wave energy converter and the state of the wave overtopping according to the generated periodic wave were confirmed through the unsteady three-dimensional flow analysis. It was found that the wave overtopping rate according to the generated periodic wave was in range of the 11.6~30.0 kg/s.
