  • In this paper, the active backlight control technology with data processing algorithm was developed in order to improve image quality for IPS-mode LCD-TV applications. The image blinking problem caused by repeatedly abrupt change of the backlight luminance was solved by algorithms-Fba(Flexible Boundary algorithm) and Cfa(Cumulative Feedback algorithm)-and the optimized number and space of backlight dimming steps based on perception. In the IPS-mode 42" TFT-LCD panel, the dynamic contrast ratio can be more than twice the typical level by means of lower block luminance and higher white luminance. Additionally, Power consumption and LCD temperature was decreased.

  • Rapid popularization of smart cell phone equipped with camera has led to a number of new legal and criminal problems related to multimedia such as digital image, which makes cell phone source identification an important branch of digital image forensics. This paper proposes a classifier combination based source identification strategy for cell phone images. To identify the outlier cell phone models of the training sets in multi-class classifier, a one-class classifier is orderly used in the framework. Feature vectors including color filter array (CFA) interpolation coefficients estimation and multi-feature fusion is employed to verify the effectiveness of the classifier combination strategy. Experimental results demonstrate that for different feature sets, our method presents high accuracy of source identification both for the cell phone in the training sets and the outliers.

Results - The research findings show that company image, leadership, distributor rewards system and distributor training system were supported and are factors affecting the sustainable competitive advantage of MLM companies in Malaysia. However, in this study, product innovation was not supported but this result does not depict that it is trivial and inconsequential in maintain sustainable advantage. Conclusion - Companies can build sustainable competitive advantage by focusing on these contributing factors. Several other comments and implications were brought to light and discussed in the paper.

  • In this paper, we analyze the performance of interpolation in demosaicing techniques for single sensor digital camera. We choose BI(bilinear interpolation), ACPI(adaptive color plane interpolation), ECI(effective color interpolation), Ideal ACPI, and EECI(Enhanced effective color interpolation) in the literature of demosacing techniques since they provide low-complexity and substantial image quality. We survey the algorithms and simulate them. To evaluate the methods in terms of objective image quality and complexity, 24 Kodak images will be used in this experiment. Experimental results show that the ECI method is better than others in terms of image quality versus complexity.

  • This research aimed to investigate the key factors affecting student satisfaction and loyalty in selected private universities in Cambodia. The study implemented a quantitative survey designed and guided by seven hypotheses to test the causal relationships among variables, such as academic experience, faculty services, campus life, social integration, student support facilities, student satisfaction, university image, and student loyalty. The research applied a multi-stage sampling technique of probability procedures to guarantee the presence of the research population. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) were applied for data analysis to test the hypotheses model. The collected survey totaled 543 from three universities. The purposive sampling methods were used to select the three target universities, based on their reputation, the number of students, year of establishment, and the recognition from the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport. The stratified random sampling method was employed to select target respondents for data collection by dividing the population into subgroups to ensure a random sample. The results showed that student support facilities, campus life, and social integration, faculty services, and university image play very important roles in the satisfaction and loyalty of the students in three universities.

  • Purpose This study examines the role of corporate image and privacy concerns in intention to use of online travel services using data from Vietnam. Design/methodology/approach The data collection was implemented to a student sample at the Foreign Trade University in Hanoi, which has a high concentration of young people who are interested in online travel in Vietnam. The paper based questionnaire was directly delivered to the respondents. After sorting to eliminate unfit samples, the number of responses was 541, which exceeds 500, the minimum number typically required. To test the hypotheses, we applied structural equation modeling (SEM) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was used to evaluate the reliability and validity of constructs in the model. We also used direct, indirect and total effect coefficient to evaluate the total impact of factors on the intention to use online services. Findings This study found that corporate image is positively associated to intention to use online services. It found a link between corporate image and privacy concerns, which suggests another way for firms to address their customers' privacy concerns; corporate image, which has received great attention in traditional offline sales channels, but not in online services, should receive higher attention in IS research. Online travel businesses, besides increasing ease of use, perceived usefulness and trust in their services, should focus on build a reliable corporate image, which can not only promote the service use but also help to eliminate users' the privacy concerns.

  • In imaging devices such as digital cameras using a single image sensor, captured images are the sub-sampled images comprised of the pixels that have only one of the three primary colors per a pixel. This images should be restored to the color images through an image processing referred as color interpolation. In this paper, we derive relation between the average of the data from CFA image sensor and the average of each color channel data. By using this relation, a new efficient method for color interpolation is proposed. Also, in order to reduce the zipper effect in a restored image, missing luminance values are interpolated along any edges in the captured image. On the other hand, for the chrominance channel interpolation, we average difference between a chrominance value and a luminance value in a local area, and this average value is added to the pixel value of the interpolated location. The proposed method has been compared with several previous methods, and our experimental results show the better results than the other methods.

  • The study uses an innovative management perspective to investigate the environment of higher education institutions to ensure the survival of universities in Cambodia. This has led Cambodian universities to expand their educational offerings to students in Years 2, 3 and 4. The data was collected through a Google Forms survey to facilitate and accelerate data collection. The sample of 500 students come from three higher education institution by employing multi-stage sampling technique of probability and non-probability sampling methods to ensure representation of the research population. The data were analyzed by using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Model (SEM) to investigate the impact of these determinants on students' satisfaction and loyalty, via answering 54 questions. The results showed that the three Cambodian universities perform well in terms of satisfactory conditions such as transformative quality and university image. There are four issues to which universities need to pay attention, namely, teaching methods, infrastructure facilities, learning material, and academic environment that are yet to meet the needs of students. This study contributes to the principle of innovative management in the context of Cambodian academic environment. The results help to fathom the depth of enhancing quality and institutional survival.

  • Various interpolations for digital imaging devices with a single image sensor have proposed. However, conventional methods did not consider the resolution modus of image sensor using periodic sampling. Therefore, the resulting images have problems such as quality degradation and color artifacts(color moire, zipper). In this paper, we propose a color interpolation algorithm for pixel resolution modus of image sensor. The proposed algorithm consisted of an initial step to compensate edge prediction effectively and refinement step using minimum directions for pixel resolution modus. To analyze a result of the proposed algorithm with conventional methods, we evaluated subjectively using images quality comparison and objectively using PSNR(Peak Signal to Noise Ratio). Experimental results showed that the proposed algorithm was more successful in eliminating the color artifacts than conventional methods judged by both objective and subjective criteria.

  • A color image requires at least three color channels to obtain the full color image. However the image sensor obtains only the intensity of the brightness, that is, three image sensors are required for every pixel to capture the full color image. Since the image sensor is quiet expensive, most of digital still cameras adopt single image sensor array with color filter array (CFA) to reduce the size and the cost. Since the image obtained using single sensor array has only one color component per pixel, we need to reconstruct the missing two color components to obtain the full color image. We call this process as color filter interpolation or demosaicking. In this paper, demosaicking algorithm composed of two large step is proposed. Proposed algorithm is combined with several different algorithms such as Edge-directed demosaicking, Second-order gradients as correction terms, Smooth hue transition Interpolation, etc. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm performs much better than the state-of-the-art demosaicking algorithms in terms of both subjective and objective qualities.
