건강신념 모델에 근거한 보육시설 유아대상 영양교육 프로그램 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of a Health Belief Model Based Nutrition Education Program for Day Care Center Children)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop various nutrition education materials, including an animated CD, for day care center children and their teachers and in order to apply the nutrition education programs systematically. We evaluated the effect of the nutrition education programs on nutrition knowledge in the first year, and the effect of the nutrition education programs on nutrition knowledge, food attitudes and eating behaviors in the second year in day care center children. In the first year, nutrition education foundational materials, such as the animated CD-ROM, videotape, textbook, panels, posters, slogans, leaflets, picture disks, hand puppets, stickers for compensation and poster boards were developed. The subjects were 537 children (286 boys,251 girls) aged four to six years. In the second year, nutrition education materials, such as the animated CD-ROM and textbook were developed. The nutrition education group included 368 children (177 boys 191 girls) aged four to six years, and the comparison group consisted of 108 children (54 boys,54 girls) Regarding the nutrition knowledge test results in the first year, the pre-test mean of children was 6.82, however, the post-test mean was 11.35 and showed a significant increase (p < 0.001). Regarding the nutrition knowledge test and the food attitude test results in the second yew, the nutrition education group had significantly higher scores than the comparison group in a post-test (p < 0.001). For the eating behavior test results, the post-test means between the comparison group and the nutrition education group were not significant. The test results show that several months of nutrition education is not enough to improve eating behaviors. As a result, nutrition education has improved nutrition knowledge and food attitudes in day care center children but short-term nutrition education was not sufficient to induce a change in eating behaviors. To improve eating behaviors in day care center children, nutrition education programs must be applied to day care center children in addition to their Parents and Persistent education will have to be continued.

고령자의 근육수축양식 및 손상정도에 따른 염증물질, 면역적격세포 및 골수유래 전구세포의 변화 (Changes in Inflammatory Mediators, Immunocompetent Cells and Bone Merrow Progenitor Cells by the Magnitude of Muscle Damage and Type of the Muscle Contraction in the Elderly)

  • 이 연구는 고령자의 근육수축양식 및 손상정도에 따른 염증물질, 면역적격세포 및 골수유래 전구세포의 변화를 검증하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 최근 6개월간 저항성운동 프로그램을 실시하지 않은 65세 이상의 고령자 20명을 신장성운동 집단(ECC, n=10)과 단축성운동 집단(CON, n=10)으로 분류하였다. 모든 피험자는 팔꿈치 굽힘근의 1차 신장성운동(ECC 1) 및 단축성운동(CON)을 실시하였고, ECC는 4주후에 재차 2차 신장성운동(ECC 2)을 6회 10세트, 세트 사이에 2분의 휴식시간을 적용하여 실시하였다. 골격근손상 지표(ROM, VAS, CK), 염증물질(TNF-α, IL-1, IL-6), 면역적격세포(CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, CD19+), 골수유래 전구세포(CD34+) 및 백혈구수는 운동전, 운동 직후, 운동 시기의 2, 24, 48, 72 및 96시간 후에 각각 측정하였다. 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 고령자의 골격근손상 지표(ROM, VAS)는 CON(근육수축양식) 및 ECC 2(손상정도)와 각각 비교해서 ECC 1에서 손상이 크게 증가하였다(p<.05). IL-6 및 TNF-α는 CON 및 ECC 2와 각각 비교해서 ECC 1의 24, 48 및 72시간 후에 유의하게 높게 나타났다(p<.05). 호중구수는 CON 및 ECC 2와 각각 비교해서 ECC 1의 2시간 후에 유의하게 높게 나타났다(p<.05). 이 연구에서는 고령자에서도 근육수축양식은 단축성운동보다 신장성운동에서, 또한 손상정도는 2차 신장성운동보다 1차 신장성운동에서 보다 크게 손상이 발생하였다는 사실을 확인하였다. 특히 IL-6와 TNF-α 및 호중구수는 근손상 정도와 밀접한 관련성이 있다는 것이 시사되었다.

CAI를 이용한 어린이 성희롱/성폭력 예방교육 효과 (The Effect of Computer-Assisted Instruction(CAI) through the Multimedia CD-ROM on the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of education for prevention of child sexual abuse (rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment etc.) of children in elementary school students. Incidences of sexual abuse in Korea is ranked 3rd in the world. Sexual abuse of children, particularly, is one of the most serious crimes that affect both the victimized children and their family. The issue related to sexual abuse of children has been ignored, and there is a lack of systematic education to prevent sexual abuse of children either for children or their parents. Furthermore, lack of knowledge and poor attitude of teachers limit their capability to provide education for sexual abuse prevention to the children. The education for teachers may change their knowledge of the sexual abuse and their attitude toward it and improve their capability in helping children. 223 Korean elementary school students participated in this study. Research design was One group pretest-posttest design. The education given to the subjects included 4 hours through the multimedia CD-ROM on the prevention of child sexual abuse. The education program was developed based on a survey. School- aged- children, parents, and teachers were interviewed to reveal their educational needs based on their experiences related to sexual abuse. This program includes such as safety education, crisis management, resource person(s), and phone numbers of available hospital. Data was collected before, during and after the education was given to the subjects, to assess their knowledge and attitude toward child sexual abuse. Two instruments were used in this study. Using Cronbach's ALPHA validity and reliability of 2 instruments were tested. The analysis of the data was done with Window SPSS 10.0 for descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA. The results of this analysis were as follows : 1. After education, the score of school nurses knowledge was higher than before(t= -4.677, p=0.000). 2. After education, the score of school nurses attitude was not higher than before (t=0.131, p=0.896). The findings from this study will provide an intervention strategy for prevention of sexual abuse in children.

  • 본 연구는 고등학교 공통과학 학습을 위한 멀티미디어 자료를 구축하는데그 목적을 두었다.공통과학 교육과정을 기초로 하여 문자 자료, 도표, 그림, 사진, 애니메이션, 동영상 및 음성 자료 등을 HTML 사용하여 멀티미디어 학습 자료를 개발하였다. 멀티미디어 학습 자료의 구성은 내용, 용어사전, 과학이야기, 영상자료, 그리고 질문의 다섯 분야로 나뉜다. 개발된 멀티미디어 자료는 공주대학교 과학교육연구소 홈페이지 (http://science.kongju.ac.kr)에 올려놓았으며, 또한 CR-ROM으로 제공된다.

국내 성교육자료 개발에 대한 분석 (Analysis of materials for sexual education in Korea)

  • We would like to identify the current status and the problem of the material for sexual education in Korea by analyzing the contents and the subjects of the materials. The 274 materials were collected from 80 institutes from March 1999 to June 1999. The collected ones were analyzed according to title. year of production. producer. subjects of materials and contents. Also, the materials in the internet was searched. Result were summarized by the descriptive statistics with SPSS/PC as followings: Type of materials were video tape (155), books (70), projection slides (43) and CD-ROM (6); Number of production from each institute were 54 from Planned Parenthood Federation of Korea, 39 from Korea Broadcasting System. 23 from Seoul School Health Center. 22 from Seoul Education and Science Research Institute, 16 from Korea Sexual Violence Relief Center, 13 from Republic of Korean National Redcross. and 10 from Korea Educational Development Institute; Subjects of the materials were middle and high school children (55), teachers (35), primary schoolchildren (17) and adult (14), preschool children (5). One hundred forty eight materials did not indicate the specific subjects; Thirty institutes had been providing the information for sexual education and the counseling. According to the above results. we suggest the followings: The systematic development of materials for sexual education appropriate to the specific subjects should be done: Materials in the CD-ROM and internet homepage should be developed more and more; The evaluation tool should be developed and adapted to the materials for the recommendation of the good materials; Database of the sexual materials should be provided for further development, evaluation and utilization.

외식업소 업주 및 조리종사자를 위한 위생교육매체 개발 및 평가 (Development and Evaluation of Sanitation Education Media for Restaurant Employers and Employees)

  • Presently, media for sanitation education consisting of a sanitation manual and a CD-ROM intended for restaurant employers and employees was developed and evaluated. The sanitation manual consisted of five principles: prevention of foodborne illness, personal hygiene, control of food production, instrument and equipment cleaning and sanitation, and management of environmental sanitation. The CD-ROM was composed of animations detailed real-life examples of Salmonella, Staphylococcus aureus, and Norovirus foodborned illness outbreaks; slides summarizing the five principles of the manual; and a poster entitled You can prevent foodborne illness listing and describing the principles. A 15 question evaluation survey was developed to gauge the efficacy of the animations. The survey was divided into five sections on comprehension of the instructions, content organization concerning understanding, content organization concerning the information presented, content organization concerning retention of interest (concentration), and recommendations concerning concentration. Ranked on a 5-point scale the survey produced a mean value of 3.80$\pm$0.39 and individual scores of 3.92$\pm$0.45 (learning instruction), 3.86$\pm$0.48 (understanding), 3.82$\pm$0.52 (information), 3.75$\pm$0.49 (concentration), and 3.67$\pm$0.58 (concentration-recommendation). Overall, evaluation results of the animation were good and easy to understand, with only a few respondents electing to watch the animations more than once. In terms of continuous and recurring education, sanitation training programs should be easy to learn and contain sufficient and specific examples of the importance of sanitation in achieving food safety.

XML기반 영어과 교수학습용 전자교과서 개발 및 적용 (Development and application of an English Electronic Textbook for Teaching and Learning based on XML)

  • 본 연구는 초등학교 3학년 영어과 교수 학습용 전자교과서를 개발 적용하는 것이다. 이를 위해 현재 사용되고 있는 CD-ROM 타이틀의 단점을 보완하고 전자교과서가 가진 장점을 극대화하기 위해 XML을 기반으로 설계하고 개발하였다. 개발된 후에는 그 효과성을 알아보기 위해 상호작용성, 만족도, 그리고 흥미도의 3가지 요소를 중심으로 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 개발된 영어과 전자교과서의 사용으로 학습자들의 상호작용성, 학습 만족감, 그리고 학습 흥미도가 높아져 자기 주도적 학습 능력이 보다 증진될 것으로 예상된다. 이것은 영어 학습 효과성으로 이어질 것이다
