Construction of Spatio-Temporal Images in Main Flow Direction for Surface Image Velocimetry (표면영상유속계를 위한 주흐름 방향 시공간 영상의 구성)

  • 실용적인 표면영상유속계를 만들기 위해서는 적절한 하드웨어와 소프트웨어로 시스템을 구성해야 한다. 이를 위해서 본 연구에서는 하드웨어로 CCTV를 선택하고, 초음파 수위계를 이용하여 수위를 지속적으로 읽어들이도록 구성하였다. 한편, 소프트웨어적으로는 11변수 투영법을 적용하여 변화하는 수위에 따라 정확한 측정점을 재구성하도록 하고, 아울러 각 측정점에서 주흐름방향으로 정확한 시공간영상을 작성하고, 이 시공간영상(spatio-temporal image)들을 분석하였다. 그결과, 5분 간격으로 촬영된 1분 길이의 영상을 지속적으로 촬영하고 분석하여 유량을 산정하는 표면영상유속계측 시스템을 구축하였다. 본고에서는 이러한 소프트웨어 개선방향중 하나인 주흐름방향의 시공간영상 작성법을 소개한다. 먼저, 11변수 투영법을 이용하여 하천의 표면영상에 대한 좌표변환계수를 산정하였다. 그리고 이 좌표변환계수를 이용하여, 하천의 수위변화에 따라 표면영상내의 측정점이 적절히 수정될 수 있도록 하였다. 그 다음 이 측정점에서 측정횡단면과 수직이 되는 방향을 선정하고, 이 방향이 영상내에서 하천 측정횡단면과 수직인 방향, 즉 주흐름방향이 되도록 하였다. 촬영된 1분간의 동영상의 각 측정점 위치에서 잘라낸 시공간체적(spatio-temporal image volume)에서 주흐름방향의 시공간영상을 잘라내고 이를 상호상관법이나 고속푸리에변환을 이용하여 분석하였다. 이 때 만들어진 시공간영상은 주흐름방향과 정확하게 일치하여, 기존의 표면영상유속계의 문제이던, 일부 측정점의 유속벡터가 주흐름방향과 일치하지 않던 문제를 해결할 수 있었다. 개발된 방법으로 표면영상유속계를 제작하여 인수천에 시험 설치하고 호우 사상에 대해 검토한 결과 정확하고 신속하며 연속적인 유량측정이 가능하였다.

  • 현재 정보통신 기술의 발달에 상응하여 지능형 교통 시스템(ITS)은 네트워크 기반으로 실시간 교통 정보를 제공하기 위해 CCTV, GPS, VDS, 루프 검지기, 영상 검지기 등과 같은 다양한 방법으로 교통 정보 수집이 이루어지고 있다. 또한 정확한 정보 제공을 위해 정보의 수집 및 가공에 대한 많은 연구들이 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 텔레매틱스 기반의 효율적인 교통정보 수집을 위해 RFID 태그 정보를 이용하여 교통정보를 수집하여 보다 정확한 실시간 차량 정보를 제공하는 RFID 기반의 차량점보수집 시스템 모델을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 본 연구는 여러 가지 센서를 이용하여 자동차 전용 도로터널의 차량 사고시의 음향을 인식하여 사고인식률을 높이는 화재 예고 시스템에 관한 연구이다. 현행의 CCTV나 자동화재탐재설비에서 감지하는 열센서나 영상전송자료를 파악하기에 앞서, 이차적 재해 가능성을 유의미한 수준에서 미리 예고하고 대응할 수 있는 사전예고시스템을 구성하였다. 유선설치기반의 센서로 대부분 구성된 도로터널 내에서 비교적 설비가 저렴한 무선센서를 사용함으로서 기존 터널에서의 적용성을 증대시켰다.

  • 자율운항선박의 원격제어를 위해 선박으로부터 다양한 종류와 포맷의 데이터를 전송받아야 한다. 선체 주변환경을 파악하기 위해 CCTV 영상을, 선박의 운항상 태를 파악하기 위해 각종 센서 메시지를, 레이더신호를 전시하기 위한 레이더 신호 혹은 이미지 등의 데이터를 받아 육상제어 시스템에 전시하고, 사용자의 제어명령을 선박에 전달하기 위한 메시지 교환시스템을 개발하였다.

A Study on the Major Issues and Legislative Considerations of CCTV Installation in an Operating Room (수술실 CCTV 설치의 쟁점과 입법방향에 관한 소고(小考))

  • 'Unlicensed medical practice by a non-medical practitioner' often represented by surrogate surgery or so-called 'ghost surgery,' causes irreparable damage to life or body, and therefore calls for very strict and effective controls. The 'bill on installment of CCTVs in an operating room' to prevent unlicensed surrogate surgery has been discussed for a long time, but due to numerous issues and heated confrontations, it has been pending in the National Assembly. Nevertheless, it is expected that the bill will be discussed again in earnest in the National Assembly because surrogate surgery and factory-type cosmetic surgery, which has been performed mainly in the field of cosmetic surgery, has also been occurring in the field of therapeutic surgery. In general, an operating room is considered as being locked or closed, as well as disallowing implicit complicity among insiders. Hence, if the insiders conspire to commit or cover up an illegal act, or if a surgeon performs rapid cosmetic surgery and then leaves the recipient (or medical institution) so as to perform more operations for profit - even if it is legitimate practice - it may result in serious consequences in terms of the recovery of a patient. In this case, installation of CCTVs can be of great help in identifying an illegal act and assessing any occurrence of negligence. On the other hand, while the fundamental purpose of therapeutic surgery is to restore a patient's life or body - that is, lifesaving - installation of CCTVs may base the relationship between a surgeon and a patient on distrust and surveillance, so it may increase the number of requests for CCTV footage or lead to more disputes, as well as placing a burden on the surgeon when best results are not achieved for a patient. As a result, the surgeon may choose non-invasive treatment contrary to conscience instead of risky but necessary surgery, or he/she may have significant difficulty in determining the timing of surgery, which may limit the provision of effective surgical medical care. Then, in terms of the relationship between a surgeon and patient, and in the long run, there could be significant disadvantages for the public and patients if CCTV footage is allowed. In this paper, we review domestic and overseas cases and issues regarding installation of CCTVs in an operating room, and present various viewpoints and suggestions to promote legislation with minimized legal problems and side effects, thereby contributing to protection of the lives and health of the public, patients, and recipients of surgery.

Super-resolution method for Infra-red Images (적외선 영상을 위한 초고해상도 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose an super-resolution method that improves resolution by using DWT (Discrete Wavelet Transform) for low resolution infra-red images. In this method, DWT is performed in a manner that does not reduce the resolution of an image input through an infra-red camera to generate sub-bands of the same resolution (LH, HL, and HH) And the original infra-red image is used to perform an inverse-DWT to obtain an infra-red image with improved resolution. Experimental results show that the mean SSIM value of the proposed method is 0.989861, which is about 0.004 higher than that of the conventional Bi-linear and Bi-cubic filters.

Overlap Removal and Background Updating for Associative Tracking of Multiple Vehicles (다중 차량 연관 추적을 위한 겹침 제거 및 배경영상 갱신)

  • In this paper, we propose a vehicle tracking method that can be applied in the intelligent traffic information system. The proposed method mainly consists of two steps: overlap removal and background updating. In order to remove overlap, we detect the overlap based on the location of the vehicle from successive images. Background updating is to calculate a background using statistical analysis of successive images. We collected a set of test images from the traffic monitoring system and experimented. The experimental results show more than 96% of tracking accuracy.

  • Recently, video equipments such as CCTV, which is spreading rapidly, is being used as a means to monitor and cope with abnormal situations in almost governments, companies, and households. However, in most cases, since recognizing the abnormal situation is carried out by the monitoring person, the immediate response is difficult and is used only for post-analysis. In this paper, we present the results of the development of video surveillance system that automatically recognizing the abnormal situations and sending such events to the smartphone immediately using the latest deep learning technology. The proposed system extracts skeletons from the human objects in real time using Openpose library and then recognizes the human behaviors automatically using deep learning technology. To this end, we reconstruct Openpose library, which developed in the Caffe framework, on Darknet framework to improve real-time processing. We also verified the performance improvement through experiments. The system to be introduced in this paper has accurate and fast behavioral recognition performance and scalability, so it is expected that it can be used for video surveillance systems for various applications.

  • Recently, video-taping equipment such as CCTV have been seeing more use for crime prevention and general safety concerns. Since these video-taping equipment operates all throughout the day, the need for security personnel is lessened, and naturally costs incurred from managing such manpower should also decrease. However, technology currently used predominantly lacks self-sufficiency when given the task of searching for a specific object in the recorded video such as a person, and has to be done manually; current security-based video equipment is insufficient in an environment where real-time information retrieval is required. In this paper, we propose a technology that uses the latest deep-learning technology and OpenCV library to quickly search for a specific person in a video; the search is based on the clothing information that is inputted by the user and transmits the result in real time. We implemented our system to automatically recognize specific human objects in real time by using the YOLO library, whilst deep learning technology is used to classify human clothes into top/bottom clothes. Colors are also detected through the OpenCV library which are then all combined to identify the requested object. The system presented in this paper not only accurately and quickly recognizes a person object with a specific clothing, but also has a potential extensibility that can be used for other types of object recognition in a video surveillance system for various purposes.
