This paper related with the performance comparison of CCA and RMMA blind adaptive equalization in order to reduce the intersymbol interference which is occurred in channel when transmitting the 16-QAM signal, high spectrum efficiencies of nonconstant modulus characteristic. The CCA possible to improve the misadustment and initial convergence by compacting the every signal constellation of 16 by using the sliced symbol of the decision device output, namely statistical symbol, but incresing the computational cost. The RMMA possible to minimize the fast convergence speed and misadjustment and channel tracking capability without increasing the computational cost by obtain the error signal after transform to 4 constant modulus signal based on the region of signal constellation located. In this paper, these algorithm were implemented in the same channel, and the blind adaptive equalization performance were compared using the equalizer output signal constellation, residual isi, MSE, SER. As a result of simulation, the RMMA has better performance in output signal constellation, residual isi and MSE compared to the CCA, but has slow convergence speed about 1.3 times. And the SER performance presenting the robustness to the noise signal, the CCA has more beeter in less SNR, but the RMMA has better in greater than 6dB in SNR.

Chlorogenic acid, a well-known polyphenol, and its derivatives, ester of caffeic acid on quinic acid moiety, are abundant in coffee, tea, fruits, and various vegetables. This study examined the effects of cryptochlorogenic acid (CCA) on osteoblast differentiation. CCA-induced mRNA expression levels of osteogenic genes in MC3T3E1 and C3H10T1/2 cells were determined by RT-PCR and qPCR. CCA regulated expression of key osteogenic genes in the early stage of differentiation, including distal-less homeobox 5 (Dlx5), DNA-binding protein inhibitor (Id1), and runt-related transcription factor 2 (Runx2). These results suggest that CCA may enhance osteoblast differentiation through expression of osteogenic genes such as Id1, Dlx5, and Runx2, especially in the early stage.
Chromated copper arsenate (CCA) is a chemical wood preservative that has been intensively used to protect wood from decay during the last few decades. CCA is widely used to build structures such as decks, fences, playgrounds and boardwalks. However, structures constructed of CCA-treated wood have caused adverse environmental effects due to leaching of Cr, Cu and As into surrounding soils. This research was conducted to monitor the vertical and horizontal distribution of Cr, Cu and As in soils adjacent to CCA-treated wood structures in Korea. Two structures constructed with CCA-treated wood were selected at Hongcheon and Chuncheon in Gangwon Province, South Korea. Eleven soil profile samples were collected at depths of 0 to 80 cm at each site, while 12 surface soil samples were collected at distances of 0 to 200 cm from each structure. The soil chemical properties, soil particle size distribution and total metal concentrations were then determined. The results revealed that soils near CCA-treated wood structures were generally contaminated with Cr, Cu and As when compared to the background concentration of each metal. In addition, the concentrations of Cr, Cu and As in soils decreased as the vertical and horizontal distance from the structure increased. Further studies should be conducted to evaluate the mobility and distribution of these metals in the environment as well as to develop novel technologies for remediation of CCA contaminated soils.
The present study was designed to investigate cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) antibodies in hamster serum. Hamster CCA cell lines were processed using sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry. A candidate biomarker was confirmed by immunoprecipitation and western blot, and was further analyzed using ELISA and sera from normal control hamsters, hamsters with opisthorchiasis and hamsters with various stages of CCA, as well as from CCA patients and healthy individuals. One candidate marker was identified as $HSP90{\alpha}$, as indicated by a high level of anti-$HSP90{\alpha}$ in hamster CCA sera. It was found that the levels of anti-$HSP90{\alpha}$ were specifically elevated in the sera of hamsters with CCA compared with other groups and progressively increased with the clinical stage. At the cut-off point of 0.4850 on the receiver operating characteristic curve, anti-$HSP90{\alpha}$ could discriminate CCA from healthy control groups with a sensitivity of 76.2%, specificity of 71.4% and total accuracy 75.5%. In the present study, we have shown that anti-$HSP90{\alpha}$ may be a potential useful serum biomarker to discriminate CCA cases from healthy persons.
This study was conducted to investigate the plasma phosphoproteome and differential plasma phosphoproteins in cases of of Opisthorchis viverrini (OV)-related cholangiocarcinoma (CCA). Plasma phosphoproteomes from CCA patients (10) and non-CCA subjects (5 each for healthy subjects and OV infection) were investigated using gel-based and solution-based LC-MS/MS. Phosphoproteins in plasma samples were enriched and analyzed by LC-MS/MS. STRAP, PANTHER, iPath, and MeV programs were applied for the identification of their functions, signaling and metabolic pathways; and for the discrimination of potential biomarkers in CCA patients and non-CCA subjects, respectively. A total of 90 and 60 plasma phosphoproteins were identified by gel-based and solution-based LC-MS/MS, respectively. Most of the phosphoproteins were cytosol proteins which play roles in several cellular processes, signaling pathways, and metabolic pathways (STRAP, PANTHER, and iPath analysis). The absence of serine/arginine repetitive matrix protein 3 (A6NNA2), tubulin tyrosine ligase-like family, member 6, and biorientation of chromosomes in cell division protein 1-like (Q8NFC6) in plasma phosphoprotein were identified as potential biomarkers for the differentiation of healthy subjects from patients with CCA and OV infection. To differentiate CCA from OV infection, the absence of both serine/threonine-protein phosphatase 2A 56 kDa regulatory subunit beta isoform and coiled-coil domain-containing protein 126 precursor (Q96EE4) were then applied. A combination of 5 phosphoproteins may new alternative choices for CCA diagnosis.
Background: There are few molecular markers known to predict cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) prognosis. Smad7 has a certain relationship with epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), but its relevance to CCA in unclear. Therefore expression and clinical significance of Smad7 in CCA was the focus of this study. Methods: Expression of Smad7, E-cadherin and vimentin was assessed in 41 patients with CCA by immunohistochemistry and analyzed for associations with clinical parameters. Results: Smad7 and vimentin expression in the CCA tissue was dramatically higher than that in adjacent tissues. In addition, Smad7, vimentin and E-cadherin expression was significantly associated with CCA lymph node metastasis and perineural invasion($P{\leq}0.05$), but not other factors, such as gender, age, tumor location, tumor type and tumor differentiation degree (P>0.05). The overall survival and relapse-free survival rate was significantly higher in patients with negative Smad7 expression than those with positive Smad7 expression. Conclusion: EMT phenomena may occur in the process of CCA invasion and metastasis. Smad7, which was highly expressed in CCA, may be considered to be one feedback regulator in late stages and could have potential as a prognostic indicator for clinical assessment.

This paper evaluates the performance of CCA (Compact Constellation Algorithm) adaptive equalization algorithm by varying the step size for minimization of the distortion effect in the communication channel. The CCA combines the conventional DDA and RCA algorithm, it uses the constant modulus of the transmission signal and the considering the output of decision device by the power of compact slice weighting value in order to improving the initial convergence characteristics and the equalization noise by misadjustment in the steady state. In this process, the compact slice weight values were fixed, and the performance of CCA adaptive equalization algorithm was evaluated by the varing the three values of step size for adaptation. As a result of computer simulation, it shows that the smaller step size gives slow convergence speed, but gives excellent performance after at steady state. Especially in SER performance, the small step size gives more robustness that large values.

This research was performed to select an appropriate agent to extract preservative components from CCA-treated wood, and then to evaluate the effect of reagent concentration, extracting temperature, and extracting time on the removal of chrome, copper, and arsenic from treated wood. Hydrogen peroxide was selected as the best extracting agent when considered extraction yield as well as use and environmental safety. Its extraction yield was dependent on extracting variables (temperature, concentration, and time), and a highly significant interaction existed among variables. It should be possible to optimize extraction by manipulating these extracting variables. The results may suggest that the required temperature conditions for the reasonable removal of CCA components are at least above 40℃ because extracting time is too long at low temperature (20℃). Reagent concentrations for extracting at above 40℃ should be decided by considering the extracting time.
This study was conducted to investigate the characteristics of the leaching of metal components from CCA-treated wood during outdoor exposure. CCA-treated wood specimens were placed horizontally or buried vertically into the soil, and then exposed to the natural environment for a year. Wood samples were collected from the side of the horizontal wood specimens using a drill and saw dust samples were collected at the end of the exposure. Soil samples were also obtained around the wood specimens and at different depths of the posts. Wood and soil samples were analyzed for metals using an atomic absorption spectrometer. Monthly metal concentrations varied greatly and more metals were released when wood specimens were exposed vertically than horizontally. Arsenic was released from the wood by 80 % of the intial content. In addition, more leaching was observed from the zone below the ground than above the ground, and soil around the posts was contaminated with metals released from CCA-treated wood.

As the demand of electric power is increasing rapidly, the need of the compact and light electric power device is also increased. Copper clad aluminum (CCA) is newly proposed electrical conductor, because of its light-weight and low-cost characteristics, to replace the existing conductor made of copper. This paper presents the salt-proof characteristics of the copper clad aluminum (CCA) to certificate long time safe operation of the newly proposed electrical conductor. The two types of the CCA conductor were tested in the neutral salt spray tester. The experimental results of two types of the CCA with salt spray were presented in this paper. The results comprise resistance measured data, micro picture of the selected surface, and component measured data according to the elapsed time. The period of the experiment was 1,000 hours. There was no evidence to show the corrosion of CCA during the whole period of the experiments.
