This paper describes the design theory of a weakly-coupled Tap-off with high density of coupling intervals for CATV and/or MATV systems, by which the degree of freedom in design and density of coupling intervals are significantly increased compared with the intrinsic one. It is also described how to construct the two-way divider (Tap-off) in the generalized type. Furthermore, the practical measurements of the frequency characteristics for a fabricated circuit show very good agreements with theoretical results.

통신과 방송의 융합화 현상에 따라 선진국에서는 CATV 망을 통신망과 경쟁하는 대체 인프라로 활용하고자 하고 있다. 반면에 일부 선진국에서는 여전히 CATV와 통신망간의 경쟁을 엄격히 금지하고 있다. 본 고에서는 이러한 국가별 정책차이를 유럽, 미국, 일본 등 17개국을 대상으로 비교분석하고 각국의 정책 특징을 유형화하여 정리하고자 하였다. 아울러 선진국과의 비교분석 관점에서 우리나라의 CATA망 정책을 살펴보고 검토되어야 할 과제를 도출하였다.

To service with high quality electricity to customer, the utilities consider the DAS (Distribution Automation System) as a good means of it. The backbone of the DAS are communication and computer technique. Most of all, from the economical and functional point of view, the selection of transmission media for system communication is the key factor to achieve a successful DAS. In this paper author propose the method of the DAS communication which share its channel with CATV transmission line and analyze the effect.

종래부터 CATV 또는 MATV시스템의 신호분기회로로 사용되어 오고 있는 Tap-off는 단지 실험적 경험적으로 제작되어 왔으며 이론적인 해석이나 엄밀한 설계법이 확립되어있지 않았기 때문에 그 성능에 있어서도 대역폭이 좁거나 분기 특성이 나쁜문제점등이 있었다 따라서 본 논문에서는 보조변성기가 부가된 변형된 약결합성 신호분기기를 제안하여 설계의 자유도를 높힘으로써 상당히 조밀한 결합간격의 회로구성이 가능한 설계법을 제안하고 그 주파수특성을 계산하여 제안한 변형된 신호분기기의 설계법의 유효함을 확인하였다.

The upstream noise level was measured and analysed for the sample HFC networks to HFC subscriber capacity in the HFC network that is only for cable modem services. The upstream bands were measured not only in HFC networks that have accommodated only cable modem subscribers but in CATV networks that have accommodated cable modem and CATV subscribers. The study says that C/N of HFC networks be maintained though the networks have more cable modem subscribers than CATV networks do. This results are being expected to be used as a basis of network design and management of HFC network provider .

This paper presents the process on the construction for the remote distribution pole transformer monitoring system. Especially, this system uses CATV cable as communication media which is located in KEPCO's main distribution line. It has four major components such as sensor for measuring secondary voltage and currents of distribution transformer, RF modem for data modulating/de-modulating, communication media for sending/receiving of data, and pc server for monitoring the results of sensing or computing information. This paper also describes the configuration of these each component's configuration and its functions.

The purpose of this was to classify consumer groups according to the life styles and analyze buying intention and evaluation criteria of apparel product, opinion to 4p\`s aspect among consumer groups. And it was to clarify relationships between the experience of CATV home shopping and buying intention and evaluation criteria of apparel product, opinion to 4p\`s aspect. The subjects of this study were 270 women living in Chonbuk and Chonnam regardless their experience in CATV home shopping. For data analysis, frequency, percentage, mean, t-test, factor analysis were conducted. The results were as follows; First, the type of life style were classified into the following subdivisions: products confirmed type, price-quality regarded type, time regarded type, new product regarded type. Second, the significant differences among the classified life style groups were found in buying intention, evaluation criteria of apparel product, and opinion to 4p\`s aspect. Third, there were significant differences in buying intention, evaluation criteria of apparel product, and opinion to 4p\`s aspect according to TV home shopping experience.

CATV, DBS(Direct Broadcasting Satellite), CS(Communication Satellite) 시스템용 신호분기기를 4-port와 3-port등가회로를 사용한 새로운 해석법을 제안하였다 결합선로형 방향성결합기에 대한 우·기 모드 해석법을 도입하여, 변성기형 방향성 결합기에 적용하였다. 시뮬레이션과 실험결과를 비교함으로서 제안된 해석법의 타당성을 입증하였고, 또한 제작된 신호분기기는 제안된 해석법을 적용하여 5 MHz∼4,000 MHz의 광대역화가 되었다.

알루미나 기판에 PHEMT 칩을 이용하여 750MHz CATV 증폭모듈을 설계 및 제작하였다. 와이어 본딩된 PHEMT 칩을 이용하여 개발된 2단 푸쉬풀 증폭기는 50~750MHz 대역에서 19dB 이득, 15dB 이상의 입출력 반사손실 4.2dB 이하의 잡음지수 특성을 나타내었다. 이 결과는 상용의 750MHz 증폭기모듈의 특성보다 우수하다. 본 논문에서는 증폭기 설계, 회로 구성 및 측정 결과 등을 제시하였다.

본 논문은 CATV Head/End에 사용되는 54∼750 MHz용 업 컨버터(Up-Converter)글 개발하였다. 업 컨버터를 구성하는 증폭기, 주파수 혼합기, 전압제어 발진기 등 핵심 회로들을 개별적으로 설계 제작하고, 이들 각 회로를 전체 모듈에 적용하여 기구물 안에 구현할 수 있도록 하여 소형, 경량을 실현하였으며, 고주파 대역에서 적절한 차폐기술을 확보하는데 주안점을 두었다.
