  • The Kanweoldo Deposit in the Cheonsoo Bay western coast of Korean Peninsula is considered to be influenced by severe freezing condition under cold humid environment of the last glacial age. The evidence of severe freezing in the some upper part of the fine-grained Kanweoldo Deposit is characteristically irregular wavy la-mellar structure with the interval of 2∼8mm. In particular lamina show very compacted fabrics composed of rounded or spheroidal discrete aggregates covered by silt caps. Such laminar structure and associated micro-fabrics might owe to soil freezing such as ice segregation in lens form cryophoresis pressure from growing ice and disturbance by frost-creep. Furthermore pedogenesis of cold-humid type such as gleyzation or peseudo-gleyzation also might af-fect the kanweoldo Deposit in the priod of severe cold-humid cli-mate of the Wrm. The Kanweoldo sediment and organic remnant(16,708 B.P. with error limit of 250 years) affected by severe cryogenic activities sug-gest that the paleoclimate of Late Wrm in Korea might be so cold and humid as to engender the cryogenic structure in subaerial silty and sandy silt deposits.

  • In order to investigate the relation between weather factors, soil water, and tobacco yield grown by nonnulching and mulehing cultivations, a regression analysis was conducted for data collected from 8 years (1971 to 1978) for a flue-cured variety of Hicks. The soil water was calculated by Smith's method. 1 . Tobacco yield was largely correlated to soil water deficit during draught time for nonmulclung cultivation; $Y=6.146+8.6185\times-0.0925$\times2(R=0.935)^{***})$ 2. Tobacco yield was more largely correlated to soil water in flexible draght time interval than in fixed time interval during maximum growing phase.3. This field test was supposed that the optimal soil water condition was 65%field caps city. In this condition tobacco yield was 197. 1-216.5kg/10a for non-mulching cultivation. But the soil water deficit in draught season was little matter for mulching cultivation. The relation between xield and evaporation during May to June was Y: -1199.55+9.4 353$\times$:O. 0155$\times$2 (R=0.904") Maximum tobacco yield was expected to 223.6-251.4kg/10a for mulching cultivation. 5 . Tobacco required high temperature and light even in drying season (maximum growing phase) for mulching cultivation.tion.

  • Chemically amplified deep UV(CA-DUV) resists are typically based on a combination of an acid labile polymer and a photoacid generator(PAG) but acid amplification type photoresist is formulated by addition of the acid amplifiers to chemically amplified resist system(CAPs). We developed acid amplifiers base on cyclohexanediol such as 1-methacryloyloxy-4-tosyloxy cyclohexane(MTC) and poly(MTC$_{10}$-co-tBMA$_{90}$)(P-1) to enhance photosensitivity. P-1 is a copolymer of tert-butyl methacrylate and MTC as a positive working photoresist based on polymeric acid amplifier in order to enhance photosensitivity and simplify the process of fomulating a photoresist. P-1 exhibited 2X higher photosensitivity compared with PtBMA. The acid amplifiers showed reasonable thermal stability for resist processing temperature and higher photosensitivity compared with chemically amplified resist.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the various expressions in fashion design using logo. For this study, fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, WWD, Hi Fashion, Mode et Mode, Fashion News, Collezioni were analyzed. A corporate identity consists of the logo and name owned by a company together with the rules and guidance on how these are to be used, for example in printed material such as letterheads, catalogues and reports, in advertising, marketing and promotion, and on produsts and services. Logos provide the bedrock for the development of corporate identities, for the evolution of commercial brands, and for the nurturing of corporate culture. Logo is a primary means of communicating corporate values to customers and designers. It represents an asset of incalculable value, because it has been consistently maintained and protected over the years. The logo is the cornerstone of the company‘s image and the style of a logo or products name must harmonize with the feeling of the product or brand image. Fashion designers today are using their logos in different forms of communication. It is common to see a brand’s logo proudly emblazoned the classic chic garments as well as accessories such as bags, shoes, caps. The consumer, then becomes a ‘walking ad’ for the brand.

  • It has been controversial whether upper airway resistance syndrome (UARS) is a distinct syndrome or not since it was reported in 1993. The International Classification of Sleep Disorders classified UARS under obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) in 2005. UARS can be diagnosed when the apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) is fewer than 5 events per hour, the simultaneously calculated respiratory disturbance index (RDI) is more than 5 events per hour due to abnormal non-apneic non-hypopneic respiratory events accompanying respiratory effort related arousals (RERAs), and oxygen saturation is greater than 92% at termination of an abnormal breathing event. Although esophageal pressure measurement remains the gold standard for detecting subtle breathing abnormality other than hypopnea and apnea, nasal pressure transducer has been most commonly used. RERAs include phase A2 of cyclical alternating patterns (CAPs) associated with EEG changes. Symptoms of OSAS can overlap with UARS, but chronic insomnia tends to be more common in UARS than in OSAS and clinical symptoms similar with functional somatic syndrome are also more common in UARS. In this journal, diagnostic and clinical differences between UARS and OSAS are reviewed.

Effect of Sodium Hypochlorite for Controlling Bacterial Blotch on Pleurotus ostreatus

  • Sodium hypochlorite alkaline was tested against Pseudomonas tolaasii causing bacterial blotch on cultivated oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus). The minimum inhibitory concentration of sodium hypochlorite against P. tolaasii contained active chlorine (AC) at 1.4 mg/l on plate assay. The highest cultivation yield was obtained from the treatment of AC 5.7 mg/l. Treatment of sodium hypochlorite at the rate of higher than AC 11.4 mg/l resulted in reduced yields at the harvest. However, the population of total bacteria on the bed surface treated with AC 5.7 mg/l of sodium hypochlorite was maintained to some extent. Inhibitory concentration against total bacteria on the bed surface was over AC 22.8 mg/l. Mushroom mycelium was damaged and its growth strongly inhibited at the concentration of AC 200 mg/l. Mushroom caps showed yellowish symptom by chemical injury by treatments of AC 74.1 mg/l or higher. Sporocarps infected by P. tolaasii were irrevocable at any concentration of sodium hypochlorite. Routine watering with AC 5.7 mg/l from mushroom initiation to the end of picking resulted in reduced bacterial blotch incidence of 40% and 86% at two mushroom farms. The treatment resulted in higher quality mushroom production compared to that conventionally watered with tap water alone.

완벽주의와 인지적 정서조절 전략이 시험불안에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Perfectionism and Cognitive-Emotion Regulation Strategies on Test Anxiety)

  • This study examined the effects of perfectionism and cognitive-emotion regulation strategies on the test anxiety. The participants in this study were 423(227 boys, 196 girls) 6th graders recruited from four elementary schools in Seoul, Korea. The participants completed the Test Anxiety Inventory-Korea(Kim, 1991), the Child and Adolescent Perfectionism Scale(CAPS; Flett at al, 2000), and the Cognitive-Emotion Regulation Questionnaire(CERQ; Garnefski, 2001). The results of this study were as follows. First, self-oriented perfectionism and socially prescribed perfectionism were both positively associated with test anxiety. Additionally, the children who used more adaptive cognitive-emotion regulation strategies reported lower test anxiety, whereas the children who used more maladaptive cognitive-emotion regulation strategies reported higher test anxiety. Secondly, there was an interactional effect between self-oriented perfectionism and maladaptive cognitive-emotion regulation strategies on test anxiety. Lastly, socially prescribed perfectionism and cognitive-emotion regulation strategies had a significant effect on children's test anxiety. However, there were no interactional effects observed between socially prescribed perfectionism and cognitive-emotion regulation strategies on test anxiety.

점진적 기능훈련 프로그램이 재가 뇌졸중 환자의 일상생활수행에 미치는 효과: RAI 적용을 중심으로 (The Effects of a Progressive Functional Training Program on ADL Performance in Stroke Patients at Home: Focusing on Application of RAI)

  • Purpose: This study was to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of a progressive functional training program on ADL performance in stroke patients at home after selecting subjects through Resident Assessment Instrument for Home Care (RAI-HC). Method: Ninety stroke patients had a structured training which was 50 min in duration, six times per week for a period of 6 weeks. The subjects were divided into three groups as measured using the RAI-HC progressive functional training program group; the resident rehabilitation exercise group and the control group. Result: The study observed that the functional training program for stroke patients increased the level of activities of daily living (ADL), performance of functional fitness and balance. It also reduced blood lipid and the score of client assessment protocols (CAPs). The functional training program is expected to improve the quality of life in the stroke patients at home. Conclusion: The authors, with the results of this study concluded that, the functional training program is necessary for the stroke patients to improve their quality of life. Hence, the program should be employed immediately.

저장 온도와 안정제 양에 따른 고농도 과산화수소의 자연 분해 특성 (Self-Decomposition Characteristic of Concentrated Hydrogen Peroxide with Temperature and Stabilizer)

  • 과산화수소의 저장성 평가 방법을 소개하고, 고농도 과산화수소의 저장성을 평가하였다. 농도 측정 방법을 통하여 저장성을 평가하였으며, 과산화수소의 MIL-PRF-16005F 기준 만족 여부와 저장 온도 및 저장 용기의 마개 재질을 실험 변수로 선정하여 저장성을 평가하였다. 8~24개월 동안 측정을 수행한 결과, 안정제가 포함된 과산화수소가 추진제급 과산화수소에 비해 저장성이 매우 떨어졌으며, 과산화수소 증기와 반응을 보이지 않은 파라핀 필름으로 용기를 밀폐하였을 때, 플라스틱 마개를 사용한 경우에 비해 좋은 저장성을 나타내었다. 또한 과산화수소의 저장성에는 온도가 매우 큰 영향을 미쳐 상온에 비해 $10^{\circ}C$ 이하에서 보관하였을 때 저장성이 크게 향상되었다.

Appraisal of deployable dome structures under wind loading

  • In this paper the appraisal of a folding dome structure under the influence of wind loading is discussed. The foldable structure considered is constructed from an assembly of interconnected elements, together with a flexible membrane, all of which are initially store in a compact form and on deployment expand, like an umbrella, into a dome structure. Loading on the dome was obtained from a wind tunnel analysis of the pressure distribution over the roof of a 1:10 scale model of the structure. The critical loading obtained from the wind tunnel investigation was used, together with individual member and material tests, to form a series of numerical non-linear finite element models which were, in turn, used to investigate the forces within the structure. The numerical analysis was used to determine the critical wind loading that the structure can sustain, as well as providing a method by which to investigate the failure modes of the structure. In order to enhance the load carrying capacity of the dome it was found that both the strength and stiffness of the structural nodes needed to be enhanced and in addition, changes were necessary to substantially increase the stiffness of the individual member and caps.
