  • The process of binding update for the routing optimization in MIPv6 can make the involved MN (Mobile Node) and CN(Correspondent Node) vulnerable to various attacks. Therefore, securing binding update process becomes an important research issue in the MIPv6, and several secure binding update protocols have been proposed. In this paper, we compare several existing binding update protocols, and analyze the vulnerability of MNs and CNs to the possible attacks and the management overhead of the SUCV(Statistic Uniqueness and Cryptographic Verifiability) which is considered to be superior to other protocols. Then, we propose an advanced protocol to resolve above drawbacks. Through the detailed analysis, we show that our protocol can reduce the computational overhead of MN, enable better management, and achieve a higher level of security against the redirect attacks, DoS(Denial of Service) attacks and brute force attacks, compared to SUCV.

  • In this paper, we design and implement a visual IMS protocol analyzer, VIPA(Visual IMS Protocol Analyzer), providing a graphical view of session connection information between user equipments on IMS network. The VIPA captures SIP packets, which are used to setup sessions on IMS networks, and shows graphical view of session information to provide easy way to analyze IMS protocols. The existing protocol analyzer has limitation to show only terminal side protocol analysis information. Whereas the VIPA can provide not only terminal side but also server side analysis result so that the connection status between all the session participating user agents can be monitored.

  • RFID technology has been gradually expanding its application areas however studies on personal space infringement along with security are insufficient. This paper proposes a new security protocol access time interval scheme and RSA algorithm to analyze existing RFID security protocol and attempts to solve the problem of lightweight protocol. Information protection for two-way channels can be enforced through the proposed protocol and other issues of sniffing and man-in-the-middle attacks can be solved by applying a mutual certification technique application among tag readers.

  • The PEGASIS protocol is more effective about energy consumption more than LEACH in USN environment. However, PEGASIS is weakness enemy in change of sensor network net composition because It changes BS node frequently. Therefore, we propose new routing protocol that use Sub-Cluster Chaining to solve this problem in this paper. It can reduce overhead that happen in election of middle node doing so and reduce energy consumption. Also, It can supplement limitation that PEGASIS has. This is treatise shows that new protocol that propose than existent PEGASIS through simulation is superior.

  • We propose a new authenticated quantum key distribution protocol. Using Greenberger-Home-Zeilinger(GHZ) state, the users of our protocol can authenticate each other and share a secret key. In our protocol, the shared key is not revealed to the honest arbitrator, which Provides the additional secrecy. Our Protocol not only guarantees secrecy as the other quantum key distribution protocols, but also the users authenticates each other. In practice, our new protocol can be easily implemented because it only uses basic quantum operations.

  • This paper analyzes vulnerability of each service protocol used in ICT convergence industry, smart factory, smart grid, smart home, smart traffic, smart health care, and suggests technologies that can overcome security vulnerabilities. In addition, we design a service-oriented protocol security framework that allows us to quickly and easily develop security functions in an open environment by defining a security element common to protocols and designing a security module for each protocol layer including the corresponding elements. Service protocol independent security module and specialized security module, it will be possible to develop flexible and fast security system in ICT convergence industry where various protocols are used. The overall security level of the ICT service network can be improved by installing the necessary security modules in the operating system, and the productivity can be improved in the industrial security field by reusing each security module.

  • The purpose of the multiple key agreement protocol is to get efficiency in computational and communicational aspects compared to multiple executions of single key agreement protocol. However ID based tripartite multiple key agreement protocols have been proposed, it is reported that they can not resist unknown key-share attack or impersonation attack. How to design a secure and efficient ID-based authenticated tripartite multiple key agreement scheme to prevent all kinds of attacks remains an open problem. This paper proposes a multiple key agreement scheme combing the existing single key agreement protocol with a key derivation function. The proposed scheme can not only increase computational efficiency compared to the existing multiple key agreement protocol, but can ensure security of the proposed schemes by using a security proofed single key agreement protocol and key derivation function.

  • In this paper, we propose a signaling protocol which can support QoS for multimedia applications continuously after handover of a mobile node in the network environment where IP-based wireless access networks co-exist. Since existing RSVP-based signaling protocols can cause the waste of network resources due to double reservation and do not provide fast resource reservation/release, they are not suitable for mobile networks. The proposed QoS signaling protocol can support QoS for multimedia applications using the fast reservation of necessary resources after handover and avoid the waste of resources by resolving the double reservation problem. This paper presents design and implementation architectures of the proposed signaling protocol and analyzes its performance via a physical testbed. Based on the analysis results, it was shown that the proposed protocol is able to support seamless QoS for multimedia applications.

  • In RFID system, the communicated data can be easily eavesdropped and tampered with by an attacker because the communication between the reader and the tag is performed in an insecure channel. Therefore, authentication is an important role in RFID applications for providing security and privacy. In 2006, Lee, Asano and Kim proposed an RFID mutual authentication protocol (the LAK protocol) which utilizes a hash function and synchronized secret information. However, Cao and Shen showed that the LAK protocol is vulnerable to replay attack, and therefore an adversary can impersonate the tag. This paper proposes a new simple two-round RFID mutual authentication (TRMA) protocol based on secure one-way hash function. As a result, the proposed TRMA protocol not only can prevent various attacks and but also provides communication efficiency since they mutually authenticate by performing two-round between RFID tag and RFID reader.

  • With the development of information and communication technology, DDoS and DRDoS continue to become security issues, and gradually develop into advanced techniques. Recently, IT companies have been threatened with DRDoS technology, which uses protocols from normal servers to exploit as reflective servers. Reflective traffic is traffic from normal servers, making it difficult to distinguish from security equipment and amplified to a maximum of Tbps in real-life cases. In this paper, after comparing and analyzing the DNS amplification and Memcached amplification used in DRDoS attacks, a countermeasure that can reduce the effectiveness of the attack is proposed. Protocols used as reflective traffic include TCP and UDP, and NTP, DNS, and Memcached. Comparing and analyzing DNS protocols and Memcached protocols with higher response sizes of reflective traffic among the protocols used as reflective traffic, Memcached protocols amplify ±21% more than DNS protocols. The countermeasure can reduce the effectiveness of an attack by using the Memcached Protocol's memory initialization command. In future studies, various security-prone servers can be shared over security networks to predict the fundamental blocking effect.
