DRRD 캠 형상 최적 설계를 위한 다항식 합성법과 캠 로우브 면적에 미치는 형상 계수들의 영향 (A Multi-Polynomial Synthesis Method for DRRD Cam Profile Optimizations and Effects of Shape Factors on the Cam Lobe Area)

  • A multi-polynomial method is proposed to synthesize DRRD cam profiles. A cam lift duration s divided into 10 sections, each of them is expressed by a polynomial equation. 12 design variables are extracted from the cam profile displacement, velocity, and acceleration curves. Because all the design variables have physical meanings which are familiar to most cam designers, it is easy to imagine a profile shape from the design variables. The design envelope of the method is wide enough to be used in DRRD automotive cam designs. Polydyne cams, widely used in automotive engines, are included into the envelope. Unlike Polydyne cams, the method provides capability of wide velocity factor variations, which gives much flexibility in flat-faced tappet design. Area factor of profiles designed by the method can be increased 5-10% compared to those of Polydyne cams without increasing acceleration factor. The method is especially useful for cam profile optimizations.

고속 래피어 직기용 바듸침 캠의 최적설계 (Optimum Design of Beating Cam for High Speed Rapier Loom)

  • This paper deals with the design and analysis of a beating cam. The beating device of a high speed rapier loom, weaving fabric by completion of warp-weft patterns, is driven by double cam type on the same axis. As the double cam, coupled with two cams, performs the mutual conjugate motion, the double cam must be very preciously designed for smooth. For the shape design of a double cam, an instant velocity center method is proposed. This method can determine the cam profile from the contact conditions of the cam and roller follower and the velocity relationships at the instant velocity center. And the practical applicability was verified by developing “DISKCAM of a CAD program. As the results in this paper, the shapes of two cams, which are in the conjugate motion, are designed by instant velocity center method. We applied 8-order polynominals for the beating as displace¬ment curves for shape determination of double cams. The data of displacement, velocity, and acceleration of beating cam can be used adjust in accurate operation and to develope an advanced beating device.

  • In this paper, Computer-aided Maintenance Equipments, which are being used in maintenance, are applied to analyze failures in train control systems, resulting in long time delays of trains. It can be expected to extend and apply CAMS (Computer Aided Maintenance System) in the hereafter efficient operation and maintenance of high-speed railway train control systems, by comparison between the analysis result of fundamental causes, from high-speed railway train control system failures occurred during the operational process, and predictive result of failure causes, based on the recording data of CAMS when failures were occurred.

래피어 직기용 더블 캠 구동 시스템의 시뮬레이션 프로그램 개발 (Development of Simulation Program of Double Cam Driving System for Rapier Loom)

  • 고속 Rapier loom에서 경사와 위사의 조직을 완성하여 직물을 제직하는 위입과 바듸침 기구는 캠구동 방식으로 동일축선 상에 4개의 캠이 설치되어 있다. 이들 캠들은 2개씩 한쌍을 이루면서 서로 공액운동을 수행하고 있으므로 정확한 설계에 의한 동기화운동이 필수적이다. 따라서 본 연구는 전체 거동의 파악을 위한 시스템의 정확한 해석과 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통한 Rapier loom의 고속화를 목적으로, 위입과 바듸침기구의 곡선선정 및 캠의 회전에 따라 정확한 운동을 유도할 수 있도록 2가지 운동의 연관성은 물론 동시에 화면상에 구현할 수 있는 4개의 캠기구에 대한 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 개발하는 것이다.

동아시아 지역 오존 전량 재분석 자료의 검증 (Evaluation of the Total Column Ozone in the Reanalysis Datasets over East Asia)

  • This study assesses the quality of the total column ozone (TCO) data from five reanalysis datasets against nine independent observation in East Asia. The assessed datasets are the ECMWF Interim reanalysis (ERAI), Monitoring Atmosphere Composition and Climate reanalysis (MACC), Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service reanalysis (CAMS), the NASA Modern-Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications, Version2 (MERRA2), and NCEP Climate Forecast System Reanalysis (CFSR). All datasets reasonably well capture the spatial distribution, annual cycle and interannual variability of TCO in East Asia. In particular, characteristics of TCO according to the latitude difference were similar at all points with a maximum bias of less than about 4%. Among them, CAMS and CFSR show the smallest mean bias and root-mean square error across all nine ground-based observations. This result indicates that while TCO data in modern reanalyses are reasonably good, CAMS and CFSR TCO data are the best for analysing the spatio-temporal variability and change of TCO in East Asia.

스페이서와 에스터화도가 콜레스테릴 그룹을 지닌 아밀로오스들의 열방성 액정 특성에 미치는 영향 (Infulence of Spacer and Degree of Esterification on Thermotropic Liquid Crystalline Properties of Amyloses Bearing Cholesteryl Group)

  • 세 종류의 아밀로오스 유도체들, 즉 에스터화도(DE)가 1.8에서 3의 범위에 있는 콜레스테릴옥시카본화 아밀로오스들(CAMs), DE가 0.3에서 3의 범위에 있는 (6-콜레스테릴옥시카보닐)펜타노화 아밀로오스들(PAMs), 그리고 완전치환 콜레스테릴옥시카본화 PAMs(CPAMs)들을 합성함과 동시에 이들의 열방성 액정 특성들을 검토하였다. $DE{\geq}2.6$인 CAM, DE=1.6인 PAM 그리고 모든 CPAMs는 쌍방성 콜레스테릭 상들을 형성하는 반면 $DE{\geq}2.2$인 PAMs는 단방성 콜레스테릭 상들을 형성하였다. $DE{\geq}2.2$인 PAMs 그리고 (6-콜레스테릴옥시카보닐)펜타노일 DE(DS)가 1.0 이상인 CPAMs는 온도상승에 의해 광학피치들(${\lambda}_{m'}s$)이 감소하는 콜레스테릭 상들을 형성하였다. 그러나 이들의 시료가 동일한 온도에서 나타내는 ${\lambda}_m$은 DS가 증가함에 따라 감소하였다. 한편, CAMs, DE=1.6인 PAM 그리고 DS=0.3인 CPAM은 콜레스테릭 상의 전 범위에서 반사색깔을 나타내지 않았다. 이러한 사실은 콜레스테릴 그룹에 의한 나선의 비틀림력은 콜레스테릴 그룹과 주사슬을 연결하는 스페이서의 길이와 DS에 민감하게 의존함을 시사한다. 아밀로오스 유도체들에서 관찰되는 콜레스테릭 상들의 열적 안정성 그리고 질서도는 DE 혹은 DS에 민감하게 의존하였다. 이들의 결과를 수소결합력, 주사슬의 가소화 그리고 주사슬로부터 곁사슬 그룹의 운동의 탈리의 차이와의 관련하에서 검토하였다.

선박 엔진용 캠 전용 측정기의 데이터 취득 및 해석 (Data Acquisition and Analysis of a Measuring Machine for Marine Engine′s Cams)

  • In this paper, data acquisition and analysis of a measuring machine for marine engine's cams is discussed. A rotary encoder and linear scale of the machine to measure angular and linear displacement respectively are interfaced to the PC via encoder board with 2 channels. The design and measuring data are interpolated by cubic spline curves to compute the precision error which is defined by the maximum and minimum distances between two curves. The minimum zone fit of ISO is employed to evaluate the geometric deviation. The developed system takes only 5 minutes to measure and analyze while the CMM takes over 1 hours even with a skilled operator.

종동절의 상대속도를 이용한 원반 캠의 형상 설계법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Shape Design Approach of Disk Cams using Relative Velocity of Followers)

  • Cam mechanism is one of the common devices used in many automatic machinery. Since the motion of the cam mechanism depends on the shape of the cam and the type of the follower, the shape design procedure must be well defined in order to determine the accurate shape of the cam corresponding to the prescribed motion of the follower. This paper proposes a new approach for designing the shape of disk cams. The proposed relative velocity method uses the relative velocity at center of the follower roller or at contact point between the cam and the follower for 4 different types of the disk cam systems. Also, the relative velocity method for determining the cam profile uses the geometric relationships of the cam and the follower.
