ON THE MARGINAL FIDELITY OF ALL-CERAMIC CORE USING CAD/CAM SYSTEM (CAD/CAM을 이용하여 제작한 All-ceramic core의 변연 적합도)

  • Novel methods producing supplementary and prosthetic material by cutting or discharge processing via computer design have been proposed as alternatives for traditional casting methods and are being utilized for commercial purposes. The CAD/CAM system used in dentistry can be classified into three-dimensional input of target values, restoration design, and material processing. The marginal fidelity in production of In-Ceram core has important clinical implications and is a key consideration issue in CAD/CAM production as well. Through this research, the author arrived at the following conclusion aaer conducting comparison analysis of marginal fidelities between the In-Ceram core produced via CAD/CAM and that produced through the traditional method ; 1. In the cases of mesial, distal, and lingual margins, the core margins via CAD/CAM produced lower values than those via the traditional method, but the differences were found to be statistically insignificant. 2. In the case of labial flange, the core margins via CAD/CAM produced lower values than those via the traditional method and the differences were found to be statistically significant. (p<0.05) 3. In comparision with overall marginal fidelity, the core margins via CAD/CAM produced lower values than those via the traditional method, but the differences were found to be statistically insignificant. 4. Among the core margins produced via the traditional method did not have statistically significant differences but fir those produced via CAD/CAM had statistically significant differences between labial and lingual sides and between labial and mesial sides. (p <0.05).

  • This paper proposes a Expert CAPP System for integrating CAD/CAM of rotational work-part by rule based approach. The CAD/CAPP integration is performed by the recognition of machined features from the 2-D CAD data (IGES) file. Selecting functions of the process planning are performed in modularized rule base by forward chaining inference, and operation sequences are determined by means of heuristic search algorithm. For CAPP/CAM integration, post-processor generates NC code from route sheet file. This system coded in OPS5 and C language on PC/AT, and EMCO CNC lathe interfaced with PC through DNC and RS-232C.

  • The latch needle cam system of circular knitting machines is analysed using multibody dynamics. A formulation is made to obtain the vertical stiffness between the needle and the cam. By implementing this formulation into data of the multibody dynamics program, the motion and the force between the needle and the cam are obtained.

  • NC code has to be made after changing the drawing information to DXF file, the converting file. Arranging the information ordered irregularly when DXF file is made decrease the unnecessary time of rapid feed during working and the DATA capacity when the information is changed. This CAM program can be used easely for the beginner of the minor enterprises. The connection of operations and the use of GUI increase business efficiency.

  • So far a variety of RAM-based approaches including the Filtering Method have been suggested to shorten the rule seletion time in production systems, but this paper presents a somewhat different approach based on the use of CAM. This paper suggests a proper use of CAM bits respect to their characteristics and describes data stsuctures for basic Artificial Intelligence symbolic list processing, and finally compares the simulation results from the CAM-based approach to those from RAM-based approaches.

  • CAD/CAM Software는 operating system(OS), 도형표시 회화처리, 형상정의, 형상조작, DBMS, 응용등으로 되어 있다. 그림 9에 이들 관계를 표시하고 있다. (1) operating system(OS) OS는 특히 CAD/CAM 특유의 것은 없고, 컴퓨터를 보다 효율있게 이용하기 위한 기본적인 software이다. OS 기능으로는 이하와 같은 것이 있다. .task 관리: CAD/CAM시스템은 일반적으로 복수의 단말에서 부터 다른 응용을 동시에 처리, 또는 back ground 로서 ploter를 움직인다. 이와같은 동질처리 (multitash)의 관리를 행한다. . Data 관리: 외부의 기억장치와의 data 수수를 행하기 위한 기본 software. .통신제어: 타의 컴퓨터와 통신회선으로 연결되어 있을 때, 이들의 data 수수를 행한다. 특히, LAN의 1 node로서 CAD/CAM 시스템이 연결되는 일이 많다. 이 경우, 다른 단말과의 communication 기능이 중요하다. .기타: FORTRAN등의 언어 processor, program 또는 data 관리와 같은 utilities가 포함되어 있다.

  • Cam rack pinion (CRP) system which consists of cam rack and roller pinion transforms the rotation motion into linear one. The roller pinion has the plurality of rollers and meshes with its conjugated cam rack. The exact tooth profile of the cam rack and the non-undercut condition to satisfy the required performance have been proposed by introducing the profile shift coefficient. The load stress factors are investigated by varying the shape design parameters to predict the gear surface fatigue limit which is strongly related to the gear noise and vibration at the contact patch. The results show that the pitting life can be extended significantly by increasing the profile shift coefficient.

  • This study used the 3D CAD/CAM system in manufacturing die plates to improve productivity. UG NX 3.0 was used as 3D CAD/CAM software, with the created NC code transmitted to the CNC Milling and Wire Cut Electric Discharge machine. The die plate was then automatically machined.

  • For machining auto-mobile cam, the developed biarcs-fitting method eliminates the ridge problems in conventional straight-line fitting approximation or single-arc fitting of curve tool path where it leaves ridges of tool marks on the machined surface of the workpiece. The powerful advantage of this biarc method is demonstrated by applying it to the numerically controlled machining of a curved cam profile, also verified by using a CNC simulating program for auto-mobile cam profile. As a result, this algorithm may be used in CNC milling and turning for cam profile machining with short block line.

  • In this paper, It does the profile measurement of the cam of diesel engine SOHC of the actual object. It uses the measurement of run-out method. This method is that the surface of the object is measured by the sensor when the object rotate, and calculated and displayed by the computer the signal which acquired by sensor. When we acquire the signals, we have two error because of motion and contacting between cam and probe. In this paper, we compensate the motion error while simply liner equation. And we have a solution that we change the figure of probe when we have a contacting error. We compared the data measuring on developed automatic cam profile measuring system with the data measured on CMM.
