  • $CaMoO_4$ crystals with ellipsoid, peanut, dumbbell, and notched sphere shapes were synthesized using a simple precipitation reaction. The morphology of $CaMoO_4$ crystals evolved from ellipsoids, through peanut-like structures and dumbbells, to notched spheres with increasing the concentration of $Ca^{2+}$ and $MoO_4^{2-}$ ions. This morphology evolution of $CaMoO_4$ crystals is attributed to a fractal mechanism. Branched crystal growth started at both ends of the ellipsoids. The peanut-like and dumbbell morphologies were formed by the first and second fractal growths, respectively. Finally, the notched spheres were formed by further fractal growth of dumbbells.

  • The effect of fat supplementation of high calcium (Ca) diets on the performance, intestinal pH, body composition and size and weight of organs in growing chickens were investigated in two experiments. Growing chickens tolerated a high dietary level of Ca (22.5 vs 12.1 g/kg) in the presence of 6.3 g/kg of available phosphorus without any significant effect on performance. Intestinal pH was significantly increased by the addition of excess Ca and fat which probably created the right pH for the formation of insoluble Ca soaps. Excess dietary Ca increased carcass linoleic acid concentration at the expense of palmitic and stearic acid contents, whilst the addition of sunflower oil (80 g/kg diet) to the diet increased carcass linoleic acid concentration at the expense of palmitic acid content of the carcass. Intestinal and visceral organ size and weight were not influenced by excess Ca or fat. However, there was a non significant increase in the intestinal dry weight per unit of length caused by excess dietary Ca. It was concluded that excess dietary Ca of 22.5 g/kg did not significantly influence the performance of meat chickens. However, excess Ca increased intestinal pH and altered carcass fatty acid composition. Fat supplementation did not alter intestinal pH with high Ca diets. Excess dietary fat altered carcass fatty acid composition and reduced protein content. Intestinal and visceral organ size and weights were not influenced by excess dietary levels of Ca of fat.

  • A certificate is important media for the purpose of offering user-authentication service on PKI system. In the paper we analyzed management implement which could make the efficient use of a certificate. This implement called ClientCA will make efficient use of the service about user-authentication consisting of the basis in the age of information through efficient management and partial use of each certificates. Especially, ClientCA could be used efficiently by grafting a small group of PKI system which is operated with particular purposes.

  • Recently spatial modeling that combined GIS and Cellular Automata(CA) which are based on dynamic process modeling has been discussed and investigated. However, CA-based spatial modeling in previous research only provides the general modeling framework and environment, but lacks of providing simulation or transition rules for modeling. This study aims to propose a methodology for extracting spatial relation rules using GIS and Knowledge Discovery in Database(KDD) methods. This new methodology has great potentials to improve CA-based spatial modeling and is expected to be applied into several examples including urban growth simulation modeling.

  • Calcia stabilized zirconia polycrystal (Ca-TZP) powders synthesized by hydrothermal treatment was sintered at a temperature range of $1200^{\circ}C~1400^{\circ}C$ and investigated the properties of sintered body and the behaviors of isothermal phase transformation. The sintered bodies of Ca-TZP were shown the density of about 97% and the average mean tetragonal grain size of about $0.1~0.25{\mu}m$. Also, Ca-TZP specimen was more stable during aging at $250^{\circ}C$ than that of Y-TZP ceramics.

  • Objective: To evaluate the association between the severity of endometriosis and the preoperative neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and serum level of cancer antigen 125 (CA 125). Methods: Data were obtained from the medical records of 419 patients who underwent laparoscopic conservative surgery for ovarian endometrioma between April 2005 and March 2013. Each patient's preoperative complete blood count was recorded and the endometriosis score was assessed. Results: The endometriosis score was not associated with either the NLR or the serum level of CA 125. The endometriosis score was negatively related to preoperative hemoglobin, hematocrit, mean corpuscular volume, mean corpuscular hemoglobin, and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration. The only positive association was between NLR and the patients' age. NLR and preoperative serum anti-M$\ddot{u}$llerian hormone level were found to be negatively related. Conclusion: The severity of endometriosis was not associated with the serum level of CA 125 or the NLR. The presence of a negative correlation between the severity of endometriosis and red blood cell dynamics needs further investigation.

  • In this study, we organized the test results obtained from the performance tests for the CA certificated air cleaners which had been commercially available in Korea since 2003, and analyzed the correlation among the test parameters such as flow rate, particle collection efficiency, clean air delivery rate (CADR), ozone emission, odor removal efficiency and noise level etc. The noise level of 267 air cleaners were increased as concentrated at the 45, 50, 55 dB, which are the required noise level for CA certification according to flow rate, and ozone emissions from the CA air cleaners were significantly lower than the requirement limit, 50 ppb for 24 hour operation. The average particle collection efficiency and odor removal efficiency were 89.3 and 80.8%, approximately 20% higher than the requirement of CA certification, regardless of flow rates. The particle removal performance of an air cleaner was clearly discriminated by its CADR, and the CADR was obtained with a simple calculation: 0.79 x flow rate. The low differentiation of gas removal performance of air cleaners by the current CA gas test method was improved by 3.2, 751.3, 13.4 times for ammonia, acetic acid, respectively, by adopting the CADR concept and the real time measurement method, FTIR, for gas removal performance test.
