We prove weighted L$^{p}$ estimates with respect to the non-isotropic norm for the (equation omitted)-equation on real ellipsoids, where weights are powers of the distance to the boundary. The non-isotropic norm is smaller than the usual norm, by a factor which is equal to the distance to the boundary in the complex tangential component and which is equal to the m-th root of the distance to the boundary in the complex normal component. Here n is the maximal order of contact of the boundary of the real ellipsoid with complex analytic curves.
Colorants were extracted from the heartwood of sappan lin. with MeOH under reflux, and the concentrate or the powder of dye was prepared by low pressure concentration method using suitable organic solvent. Various components were isolated from sappan wood, and the chemical structure and mechanism of compound having the excellent antibacterial and deodorization properties were analyzed. The results obtained are as follows ; The seventeen components of sappan wood were seperated by HPLC chromatography, and the five components among them were existed more than 6% and the other components were existed lower than 0.6%. The resolving powers of the non-polar solvent and polar solvent systems were evaluated by their ability to resolve the samples. It showed that chloroform-methanol-water(800:150:10) system has the best resolving power. Although the seperation rate is very slow, polyamide C-100 column chromatography gives a clear seperation of sappan wood. On the basis of the spectrometric data such as IR, UV, $GC-Mass,\;^1H-NMR,\;^{13}C-NMR\;and\;^1H-^{ 13}C-NMR$, the chemical structure of compound haying the excellent antibacterial and deodorization properties was established as brazilin containing the functional groups such as two quaternary carbon, one benzyl carbon, methylene contiguous to oxygen and methylene caused by oxygen atom.
In this paper, we compare three mehods to obtain PSD of HRV - FFT, AR modeling, and residual integration. Using these methods we speculate the balances of the LP and HF powers of HRV at $0^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$ tilt levels of head-up tilt table for young and healthy 24 men. R peaks are located at the highest point of QRS complex detected from modified spacial velocity algorithm. In general FFT is the most fast way to obtain PSD but PSD from FFT has too many peaks and valleies. AR PSD can show frequency of ANS activity effectively but LF component of PSD is often invisible due to interference of VLF power. The residual integration method that decomposes the AR PSD is very efficient way to extract LF component. Applying the above three methods to HRV we can visualize the trend of PSD variations along tilt levels.

Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs) have been gaining academic/industrial attention due to the unique high efficiency and minimized pollution emission. SOFCs are an electrochemical system composed of dissimilar materials which operates at relatively high temperatures ranging from 800 to 1000oC. The cell performance is critically dependent on the inherent properties and integration processing of the constituents, a cathode, an electrolyte, an anode, and an interconnect in addition to the sealing materials. In particular, the gas transport, ion transport, and by-product removal also affect the cell performance, in terms of open cell voltages, and cell powers. In particular, the polarization of cathode materials is one of the main sources which affects the overall function in SOFCs. Up to now, there have been studies on the materials design and microstructure design of the component materials. The current work reports the effect of thin film processing on cathode polarization in solid oxide fuel cells. The polarization issues are discussed in terms of dc- and ac-based electrical characterizations. The potential of thin film processing to the applicability to SOFCs is discussed.

Terbinafine has a primary fungicidal action mediated by squalene epoxidase inhibition. Treated fungi accumulate squalene while becoming deficient in ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. Bioequivalence of two terbinafine tablets, $Lamisil^{TM}$ (Novartis Korea Ltd., Seoul, Korea) and $Mycosil^{TM}$ (Daewon Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Seoul, Korea), was evaluated according to the guidelines of Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). Sixteen normal male volunteers ($20\sim29$ years old) were randomly divided into two groups and a randomized $2\times2$ cross-over study was employed. After oral administration of $Mycosil^{TM}\;or\;Lamisil^{TM}$ (125 mg terbinafine), blood samples were taken at predetermined time intervals and the serum terbinafine concentrations were determined using an HPLC method with UV/VIS detector. The pharmacokinetic parameters $(AUC_t,\;C_{max}\;and\;T_{max})$ were calculated and ANOVA was utilized for the statistical analysis. The results showed that the differences in $AUC_t,\;C_{max}\;and\;T_{max}$ between two tablets based on the $Lamisil^{TM}$ tablet were $-2.24\%,\;-7.68\%\;and\;2.92\%$, respectively. The powers %(1-\beta)\;for\;AVC_t,\;C_{max}\;and\;T_{max}\;were\;87.11\%,\;95.36\%\;and\;99.99\%$, respectively. Minimum detectable differences $(\Delta)\;and\;90\%$ confidence intervals were all less than $\pm20\%$. All these parameters met the criteria of KFDA for bioequivalence, indicating that $Mycosil^{TM}$ tablet is bioequivalent to $Lamisil^{TM}$ tablet.
Acetyl-L-carnitine (ALC), an endogenous component of the L-carnitine family, is naturally occurring molecule synthesized from L-carnitine (LC) by carnitine acetyl transferase. ALC has been shown to improve the cognitive performance of patients suffering from dementia of the Alzheimer's type and proposed for treating Alzheimer's disease in pharmacological doses. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the bioequivalence of two ALC tablets, $Nicetile^{TM}$ (Dong-A pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) and $Neurocetil^{TM}$ (Kyung-Dong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.), according to the guidelines of Korea Food and Drug Administration. Twenty six normal male volunteers, $22.80{\pm}2.76$ year in age and $63.07{\pm}7.98\;kg$ in body weight, were divided into two groups and a randomized $2{\times}2$ cross-over study was employed. After one tablet containing 500 mg of ALC was orally administered, blood was taken at predetermined time intervals and the concentrations of ALC in serum were determined using HPLC with fluorescence detector. Because of the presence of endogenous ALC, the calibration was performed using dialyzed serum. Pharmacokinetic parameters such as $AUC_t$, $C_{max}\;and\;T_{max}$ were calculated and ANOVA was utilized for the statistical analysis of the parameters. The results showed that the differences in $AUC_t$, $C_{max}\;and\;T_{max}$ between two tablets were 2.72%, -0.65% and -8.42%, respectively, when calculated against the $Nicetile^{TM}$ tablet. The powers $(1-{\beta})$ for $AUC_t\;and\;C_{max}$ were 94.87% and 87.17%, respectively. Minimum detectable differences $({\Delta})$ at ${\alpha}=0.05$ and $1-{\beta}=0.8$ were less than 20% (e.g., 15.58% and 19.16% $AUC_t\;C_{max}$, respectively). The 90% confidence intervals were within ${\pm}20%$ (e.g., $-11.84{\sim}6.41$ and $-10.57{\sim}11.88$for $AUC_t\;and\;C_{max}$, respectively). Two parameters met the criteria of KFDA for bioequivalence, indicating that $Neurocetil^{TM}$ tablet is bioequivalent to $Nicetile^{TM}$ tablet.

ALC has been shown to improve the cognitive performance of patients suffering from dementia of the Alzheimer's type and proposed for treating Alzheimer's disease in pharmacological doses. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the bioefuivalence of two ALC tablets, $Nicetile^{TM} (Dong-A Pharmaceutical Co.) and $L-Cartin^{TM}$ (Kuhn Il Pharmaceutical Co.), according to the guidelines of Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). The ALC release from the two ALC tablets in vitro was tested using KP VII Apparatus II method in various dissolution media (pH 1.2, 6.0 and 6.8). Twenty six normal male volunteers, $24.46\pm3.67$ years in age and $64.45\pm5.54$ kg in body weight, were divided into two groups and a randomized $2\times2$cross-over study was employed. After one tablet containing 500 mg of ALC was orally administered, blood was taken at predetermined time intervals and the concentrations of ALC in serum were determined using HPLC with fluorescence detector. Because of the presence of endogenous ALC, the calibration was performed using dialyzed serum. The dissolution profiles of the two ALC tablets were similar in all the dissolution media. The pharmacokinetic parameters such as $AUC_t,\;C_{max}\;and\;T_{max}$ were calculated and ANOVA was utilized for the statistical analysis of the parameters. The results showed that the differences in $AUC_t,\;C_{max}\;and\;T_{max}$ between two tablets were $0.35\%,\;0.93\%\;and\;2.34\%$ respectively, when calculated against the $Nicetile^{TM} tablet. The powers $(1-\beta)\;for\;AUC_t$ , and Cmax were $98.72\%\;and\;85.48\%$, respectively. Minimum detectable differences $(\Delta)\;at\;\alpha=0.05\;and\;1-\beta=0.8$ were less than $20\%,\;(e.g.,\;13.21\%\;and\;18.42\%\;for\;AUC_t,\;and\;C_{max}$ respectively). The $90\%$ confidence intervals were within $\pm20\%\;(e.g.,\;-7.38\sim8.09\;and\;-9.86\sim11.72\;for\;AUC_t,\;and\;C_{max}$, respectively). These two parameters met the criteria of KFDA for bioequivalence, indicating that $L-Cartin^{TM}$ tablet is bioequivalent to $Nicetile^{TM} tablet.

The purpose of this study was to improve the quality of the steamed rice cakes added with powder and extract of Schisandra chinensis (SC). Steamed rice cakes were prepared by adding SC using 1% hot-air dried SC powder (DP), hot-air dried SC extract (DE), freeze dried SC powder (FP) and, frozen SC extract (FE). After packaging with nylon/polyethylene films, the cakes were stored at $25^{\circ}C$ for 5 days. The FE-treated steamed rice cake had the lowest pH value. The $L^*$ value of the control cakes was highest immediately after processing and decreased during storage. The $a^*$ values of FP- and FE-treated steamed rice cakes were higher than those of DP- and DE-treated cakes. The $b^*$ values of DP- and DE-treated steamed rice cakes were higher than those of FP- and FE-treated cakes. Total phenolic contents of DP and DE were lower than those of FP and FE. Anthocyanin contents of DP- and DE-treated steamed rice cakes were lower than those of FP- and FE-treated cakes. Schisandrin contents of DP- and FP-treated steamed rice cakes were lower than those of DE- and FE-treated cakes. Ferric reducing antioxidant power assays revealed that DP and DE had lower antioxidant powers than those of FP and FE. The results of this study indicate that, among the treatments methods used, the steamed rice cake treated with FE had the highest functional component and antioxidant activity levels.
