온도변화에 따른 LDMOS의 전류변동 억제에 관한 연구 (A Study of Suppression Current for LDMOS under Variation of Temperature)

  • In this paper, the power amplifier using active bias circuits for LDMOS(Lateral Diffused Metal Oxide Semiconductor) MRF-21180 is designed and fabricated. According to change the temperature, the gate voltage of LDMOS is controlled by the fabricated active bias circuits which is made of PNP transistor to suppress drain current. The driving amplifier using MRF-21125 and MRF-21060 is made to drive the LDMOS MRF-21180 power amplifier. The variation of current consumption in the fabricated 60 watt power amplifier has an excellent characteristics of less than 0.1 A, whereas a passive biasing circuit dissipates more than 0.5 A. The implemented power amplifier has the gain over 9 dB, the gain flatness of less than $\pm$0.1 dB and input and output return loss of less than -6 dB over the frequency range 2.11 $\sim$ 2.17 GHz. The DC operation point of this power amplifier at temperature variation 0 $^{\circ}C$ to 60 $^{\circ}C$ is fixed by active bias circuit.

Band-III T-DMB/DAB 모바일 TV용 저전력 CMOS RF 튜너 칩 설계 (Design of a Fully Integrated Low Power CMOS RF Tuner Chip for Band-III T-DMB/DAB Mobile TV Applications)

  • 본 논문에서는 Band-III 지상파 디지털 멀티미디어 방송 수신용 저전력 CMOS RF 튜너 칩에 대해 기술한다. 제안된 RF 튜너 칩은 저전력의 소형 휴대단말기 개발에 적합한 Low-IF 수신 구조로 설계되었으며, 174~240 MHz의 RF 방송 신호를 수신하여 1.536 MHz 대역폭의 2.048 MHz IF 신호를 출력한다. RF 튜너 칩은 저잡음 증폭기, 이미지 신호 제거 믹스, 채널 필터, LC-VCO, PLL과 Band-gap 기준 전압 생성기 등의 모든 수신부 기능 블록들을 포함하고 있으며, 0.18 um RF CMOS 기술을 이용하여 단일 칩으로 제작되었다. 또한 전력 소모를 줄이기 위한 4단계 이득 가변이 가능한 저잡음 증폭기를 제안하였으며, Schmoock's 선형화 기법과 Current bleeding 회로 등을 이용하여 수신 성능을 개선하였다. 제작된 RF 튜너 칩의 이득 제어 범위는 -25~+88 dB, 잡음 특성(NF)은 Band-III 전체 대역에서 약 4.02~5.13 dB, 선형 특성(IIP3)은 약 +2.3 dBm 그리고 이미지 신호 제거비는 최대 63.4 dB로 측정되었다. 총 전력 소모는 1.8 V 단일 전원에서 약 54 mW로 우수하며, 칩 면적은 약 $3.0{\times}2.5mm^2$이다.

  • A $g_m$-control technique using a new electronic zener diode (EZD) for CMOS rail-torail input stages is presented. A regulated CMOS inverter is used as an EZD to obtain a constant-$g_m$ input stage. The turn-off characteristic of the proposed EZD is better than that of the existing EZD using two complementarey diodes, and thus, better $g_m$-control can be achieved. With this input stage, a 3V constant-$g_m$ rail-to-rail CMOS op-amp has been designed and fabricated using a $0.8\mu\extrm{m}$single-poly, double-metal CMOS process. Measurements results show that the $g_m$ variation is about 6% over the entire input common-mode range, and the op-amp has a dc gain of 88dB and a unity-gain frequency of 4MHz for $C_L=20pF, R_L=10k\Omega$

Developing Model Equation to Subdivide Threonine Requirements into Requirements for Growth and Maintenance in Pigs

  • Purified diets containing 5 graded levels of threonine were fed to young, growing and finishing pigs to determine the threonine requirement for growth and maintenance. A model was developed to subdivide the threonine requirement for the maintenance from the requirement for growth. From this model, the threonine requirement for growth was 7.733, 10.968 and 11.235 g/kg live weight gain and the maintenance requirement was 0.118, 0.048 and 0.024 g per unit of metabolic body size at each stage of growth, respectively. In the young pigs, the threonine requirement for growth was 0.388 g/g N gain and the maintenance requirement was 0.122 g per unit of metabolic body size. The breakpoint of plasma threonine concentrations was 3.995, 7.933 and 7.738 g/d, respectively. Expected requirements obtained from these formulae were in general agreement with previous estimates. Based on the weight gain vs N gain equation, about 4.24% of the retained protein was comprised of threonine and compared to 3.81%, the mean threonine content of pig muscle CP.

  • Purified diets containing 5 graded levels of methionine + cystine were fed to young, growing and finishing pigs to determine the methionine + cystine requirement for growth and maintenance. A model was developed to subdivide the methionine + cystine requirement for maintenance from requirement for growth. From this model, the methionine + cystine requirement for growth was 8.633, 10.260 and 9.293 g/kg live weight gain and the maintenance requirement was 0.049, 0.016 and 0.019 g per unit of metabolic body size at each stage of growth, respectively. In the young pigs, the methionine + cystine requirement for growth was 0.491 g/g N gain and the maintenance requirement was 0.059 g per unit of metabolic body size. The breakpoint of plasma methionine + cystine concentrations was 3.888, 6.935 and 8.116 g/d, respectively. Expected requirements obtained from these formulae were in general agreement with previous estimates. Based on the weight gain vs N gain equation, about 4.44% of the retained protein was comprised of methionine + cystine and compared to 3.31%, the mean methionine + cystine content of pig muscle CP.

  • Purified diets containing 5 graded levels of lysine were fed to young and growing pigs to determine the lysine requirement for growth and maintenance. A model was developed to subdivide the lysine requirement for the maintenance from requirement for growth. From this model, the lysine requirement for growth was 18.018 and 19.431 g/kg live weight gain and the maintenance requirement was 0.115 and 0.033 g per unit of metabolic body size at each stage of growth, respectively. In the young pigs, the lysine requirement for growth was 0.950 g/g N gain and the maintenance requirement was 0.114 g per unit of metabolic body size. The breakpoint of plasma lysine concentrations was 8.695 and 13.464 g/d, respectively. Expected requirements obtained from these formulae were in general agreement with previous estimates. Based on weight gain vs N gain equation, about 7.92% of the retained protein was comprised of lysine as compared to 7.11%, the mean lysine content of pig muscle CP.

  • A SiGe HBT MMIC double balaced up-converter has been designed and fabricated for C-band WLAN applications. The up-converter is based on the Gilbert cell mixer with an active baluns for differential inputs of LO and IF signals. The designed up-converter exhibits a conversion gain 12.5dB for a -10 dBm LO power. It also exhibits LO-RF isolation of 19.3dBc, and IF-RF isolation of 23.3 dBc at a 1-dB compression point of -14.2dBm

WSN환경에서 Decode-and-Forward 협력통신의 시스템 최적화 및 최대전송률과 저전력에 관한 연구 (System Optimization, Full Data Rate and Transmission Power of Decode-and-Forward Cooperative Communication in WSN)

  • 본 논문에서는 WSN(Wireless Sensor Network)에서 복호 후 재전송(Decode-and-forward) 협력통신 방식에서 데이터 전송률이 1/2가 되는 것을 극복하여, 최대전송률이 되는 협력 프로토콜을 제안하였다. 기존의 협력프로토콜 시스템에서는 소스가 두 타임 슬롯 동안 두 데이터를 전송하게 되면 다이버시티 이득은 얻지 못하고, 다이버시티 이득을 얻기 위하여 타임 슬롯을 증가시키면 전송률이 낮아지게 된다. 본 논문의 알고리즘은 각각의 데이터를 직교주파수로 구분하고 좌표회전 기법을 이용하여 최대전송률과 다이버시티 이득을 동시에 얻을 수 있다. 또한, 센서노드와 릴레이의 거리에 따른 성능분석을 하였고 시스템의 성능에 영향을 끼치는 요소들을 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통하여 최적화 시켰다. 최적의 거리 d=0.2에서 BER이 10-2일 때 직접 전송일 경우보다 7dB까지 멀티 홉보다 5dB 정도의 네트워크 전력이 절약되는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 따라서 무선 센서네트워크의 전력을 감소시며 데이터 전송률을 증가시키는 시스템을 제안하였다.

  • In this paper, we introduce the design and fabrication of 60 GHz low noise amplifier MMIC for IEEE802.15.3c WPAN system. The 60 GHz LNA was designed using ETRI's $0.12{\mu}m$ PHEMT process. The PHEMT shows a peak transconductance ($G_{m,peak}$) of 500 mS/mm, a threshold voltage of -1.2 V, and a drain saturation current of 49 mA for 2 fingers and $100{\mu}m$ total gate width (2f100) at $V_{ds}$=2 V. The RF characteristics of the PHEMT show a cutoff frequency, $f_T$, of 97 GHz, and a maximum oscillation frequency, $f_{max}$, of 166 GHz. The performances of the fabricated 60 GHz LNA MMIC are operating frequency of $60.5{\sim}62.0\;GHz$, small signal gain ($S_{21}$) of $17.4{\sim}18.1\;dB$, gain flatness of 0.7 dB, an input reflection coefficient ($S_{11}$) of $-14{\sim}-3\;dB$, output reflection coefficient ($S_{22}$) of $-11{\sim}-5\;dB$ and noise figure (NF) of 4.5 dB at 60.75 GHz. The chip size of the amplifier MMIC was $3.8{\times}1.4\;mm^2$.

  • 본 논문은 브러시리스 직류 전동기의 속도제어를 위해 파라메타의 추정 없이 입력과 출력의 패턴을 관찰하여 PI 이득을 온라인(On-line)으로 설정하는 방법을 제안한다. 비례이득은 한계입력을 인가하여 가장 빠른 속도 상승을 유도하는 과정에서 설정되고, 적분이득은 비례제어 과정 중에 오버슈트 방지와 안정된 수렴이 적절히 이루어지도록 설정된다. 따라서 제안된 PI이득 조정은 온라인으로 제어와 동시에 수행됨으로써 시스템 파라메타 추정 등의 부가적인 작업이 필요 없다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 PI이득 조절기법은 직류전동기의 속도제어에 있어서 빠른 응답과 오버슈트 문제를 동시에 해결할 수 있고, 기존의 Auto-tuning 방법보다 간편하고 실용적이다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션과 실제 실험을 통하여 제안하는 방법의 유용성과 안정성을 보인다.
