High Temperature Tribological Behaviour of Particulate Composites in the System SiC-TiC-TiB2 during Dry Oscillating Sliding

  • The tribological behaviour of monolithic SiC as well as SiC-TiC and SiC-TiC-$TiB_2$ particulate composite materials has been investigated in unlubricated oscillating sliding tests against $Al_2O_3$ at temperature in the range from room temperature up to $600^{\circ}C$. At temperatures below $600^{\circ}C$ the wear rate of the systems with the composite materials was up to 20 times lower than the wear of the $Al_2O_3$/SiC system and was dominated by the oxidation of the titanium phases. At $600^{\circ}C$ the oxidation rate of the TiC and -TEX>$TiB_2$ grains becomes predominant resulting in an enhanced wear rate of the composite rate of the TiC and TiB2 grains becomes predominant resulting in an enhanced wear rate of the composite materials. The coefficient of friction shows similar values for all materials of investigation, increasing from 0.25…0.3 at room temperature to 0.7…0.8 $600^{\circ}C$. The wear of the $Al_2O_3$/SiC system is mainly abrasive at temperatures above room temperature and is characterised by an enhanced wear of the alumina ball at $600^{\circ}C$.

Dispersion of Li[Ni0.2Li0.2Mn0.6]O2 Powder by Surfactant for High-power Li-ion Cell

  • The particle size of Li[$Ni_{0.2}Li_{0.2}Mn_{0.6}]O_2$ cathode powder was controlled effectively by dispersion using lauric acid as a surfactant. The samples treated by lauric acid showed smaller particles of approximately half the original size compared to the particles of a pristine sample. A structural change due to the dispersion of Li[$Ni_{0.2}Li_{0.2}Mn_{0.6}]O_2$ powder was not detected. The rate performance of the Li[$Ni_{0.2}Li_{0.2}Mn_{0.6}]O_2$ cathode was improved by dispersion using lauric acid, which was likely due to the decrease of the particle size. In particular, a sample dispersed pristine powder using lauric acid (L2) presented a greatly enhanced discharge capacity and capacity retention at a high C rate. The discharge capacity of a pristine sample was only 133 m$Ahg^{-1}$ (3C rate) and 96 m$Ahg^{-1}$ (12C rate) at the tenth cycle. In contrast, the L2 electrode delivered higher discharge capacities of 160 m$Ahg^{-1}$ (3C rate) and 129 m$Ahg^{-1}$ (12C rate) at the tenth cycle. The capacity retention at a rate of 12C/2C was also enhanced from ~ 45% (pristine sample) to 57% (L2) by treatment with lauric acid.

  • To investigate the effect of H2 flow rate and TMS[Si(CH3)4] concentration on synthesizing ultrafine ${\beta}$-SiC powder by vapor phase reaction the experiment was performed at 1100$^{\circ}C$ of the reaction temperature under the condition of 200-2000 cc/min of H2 gas flow rate and 1-10% of TMS concentration respectively. The shape of ${\beta}$-SiC particles synthesized was spherical and the size of particles decreased and the distribution of particles was more uniform with increasing H2 gas flow rate. In this case Si powders were coexisted with ${\beta}$-SiC Pure and ultrafine ${\beta}$-SiC powders without Si were obtained under the condition of above 2% of TMS concentration and below 1500 cc/min of H2 gas flow rate.

유채종자의 건조조건에 따른 발아특성 (The Effects of Drying Conditions on the Germination Properties of Rapeseed)

  • This study was performed to determine the effect of drying conditions on the germination properties of rapeseed after seeds were dried under different drying conditions: $40^{\circ}C$, $50^{\circ}C$, or $60^{\circ}C$ in combination with 30%, 45%, or 60% relative humidity. As analytic results, drying conditions had significant effects (P-value < 0.001) and drying temperature was considered as the main factor on the germination properties of rapeseed. When drying temperature increased or relative humidity decreased, the vigor rate and germination rate decreased, the median germination time increased. The maximum values of vigor rate and germination rate were 90% and 95.44%, and their minimum values were 60.17 and 75%, respectively. To ensure the standard germination rate of 85%. The appropriate drying zone was determined and the drying temperature should be less than $51.0^{\circ}C$, $54.5^{\circ}C$ and $58.7^{\circ}C$ at 30%, 45% and 60% RH, respectively. The values for median germination time varied from 2 to 4 days. The predicted models of germination rate, vigor rate, and median germination time were determined.

여러 탄화조건에 따라 성장된 단결정 3C-SiC 박막의 특성 (Properties of Single Crystalline 3C-SiC Thin Films Grown with Several Carbonization Conditions)

  • This paper describes the crystallinity, growth rate, and surface morphology of single crystalline 3C-SiC (cubic silicon carbide) thin films grown with several carbonization conditions such as temperature, $C_3H_8$ flow rate, time. In case of carbonization, an increase in the carbonization temperature caused a increase in the size and numbers of unsealed void (big black spot) which decrease the crystallinity. In addition, optimal $C_3H_8$ flow rate made carbonization layer form well and prevented the formation of voids. Also, after a period of time, the growth of carbonization layer did not increase no more. The single crystalline 3C-SiC thin films on optimal carbonized Si substrate showed an improvement on the crystallinity, the growth rate, the roughness, and the carrier concentration.

닭 정액의 보존온도 및 희석배율이 수정률에 미치는 영향

  • 채취한 정액에 대하여 희석액의 배율을 달리하고 보존온도를 다르게 하여 3시간 보존 후 정자의 운동성 및 수정률을 조사한 결과, 정자 운동성은 5$^{\circ}C$ 냉장보존 온도에서 희석배율에 따른 차이를 보이지 않았으나, $25^{\circ}C$ 상온보존에서는 정액과 희석액이 1:1 희석배율보다 1:3 및 1:6 희석배율이 정자 운동성이 현저히 높았고(P<0.05), 35$^{\circ}C$ 고온보존에서도 1:1 희석배율보다 1:3 및 1:6 희석배율이 정자 운동성이 현저히 높은 것으로 나타났다(P<0.05). 5$^{\circ}C$에서 3시간 냉장보존 후 인공수정을 하였을 때 1:1~1:6의 희석배율에 따른 수정률의 차이를 보이지 않았고, $25^{\circ}C$ 상온보존에서도 희석배율에 따른 수정률의 차이를 보이지 않았으나, 35$^{\circ}C$의 고온보존에서는 1:1 희석배율보다 1:3 및 1:6 희석배율에서 수정률이 현저히 향상되었다(P<0.05). 이상의 결과로 보아 여름철 고온시는 1:1의 희석배율보다는 1:3 이상의 희석배율을 사용함이 좋을 것으로 사료된다.

Paclobutrazol 처리가 Perennial Ryegrass의 생육 및 고온과 건조 Stress에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Paclobutrazol on Growth, and High Temperature and Drought Stress in Perennial Ryegrass)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of paclobutrazol [(2 RS , 3 RS )1-(4- chlor-ophenyl )-4, 4- dimethyl -2- (1, 2, 4- triazol -1- yl )- pentan -3-01] on the tolerance of hi-gh temperature and drought stress as related to growth retardation , iranspiration rate , soil water content , nitrogen level and photosynthetic rate in perennial ryegrass ( Loliurn perenne L . ' Omega H , ). Plants were given a 30 ml soil drench of paclohutrazol at the concentrations of 0, 0.01, 0.1, 1.0, 10.. 0, mg / 6 .5cm- diameter pot . The rcsults were as follows : 1. Increasing concentrations of paclohutrazul reduced plant height , leaf area , fresh weight and dry weight , hut increased chlorophyll content per unit area . The number of tillers and leaf width were not affected hy the paclobutrazol concentrations . 2. The proper concentration of paclohatrazol on growth retardation in perennial ryegrass was about I mq /pot , hut leaf deformity and severe growth retardation were shown at high concentration of 10 mq / pot . 3. Perennial ryegrasses grown at 30˚C were shown significantly short plant height and low leaf nitrogen level compared with those grown at 20˚C. Increasing concentrations of paclohutrazol at 20˚C increased nitrogen level hut it could not increase nitrogen level at 30˚C . 4. During the drought stress , increasing temperatures significantly promoted transpiration rate and wilting time . It took about 5 days at 20˚C and 3 days at 30˚C to reach wilting time of leaves from water stress treatment . Soil water contents at wilting time of non-treated controls were averaged 6. 871% at 20˚C and 6. 17% at 30˚C 5. Paclohutrazol reduced transpiration rate at high temperature and drought stress . Wilting appeared at the lower water content of soil according to increasing concentrations of paclobutrazol at 30˚C hut there were no differences among concentrations of at 20˚C. 6.Paclohutrazol treatment at 1 rag /pot reduced injury rate of leaves from 67.1 % and 100 % in control plants to 15.7% and 80% at 20˚C and 3010, respectively. 7. Photosynthetic rate per unit area was significantly reduced at high temperature . Paclohutrazol stimulated photosynthetic rate with increase of concentrations at 20˚C but there was no increasing effect at 30˚C.

수재사 모르터의 강도특성에 관한 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Quality of Mortar Strength using the Quenched Blast-Furnace Slag)

  • Strength experimental on mortar which use Quenched Blast-Furnace Slag as aggregate was carried our for a fundamental study of application possibility of Quenched Blast-Furnace Slag as aggregate. It gives the following results. The strength of mortar use Quenched Blast-Furnace Slag is decrease as substitution rate is higher. As W/C rate increase, the strength decrease, but the strength decrease of fine aggregate rate 1:3 is lower than 1:2. The relation with fine aggregate is that the amount of fine aggregate is inversely proportional to strength. Th relation with age is proportional to strength and strength rate of going is lower than general mortar in 28 age the change of strength proportionately with W/C rate is that as W/C rate increases, th strength is drop ; it shows that it has same tendency as general mortar sand or crushed sand, but while W/C rate increase the strength is as high as general mortar. The reason can be assumed that water content per unit needed to Quenched Blast-Furance Slag is more than in case of sand. In addition, the relation with substitution rate is that the strength is the strongest at substitution rate 25% and 50% ; that is , sometimes it is higher than mortar which use sand 100%. In addition, long age strength of mortar which use Quenched Blast-Furnace Slag as aggregate is about to be studied in the last.

푸새 직물의 흡습률에 관한 1연구 (On the rate of absorption of the sized fabrics)

  • This paper aims to examine the variety of the absorption of cotton, T/C and hemp fabrics seperately seperaterly sized by rice, wheat, potato, corn flour and pp.V.A.. Experimental variables occurring in the concentration of sizing agents, the water content of unsized fabrics and an iron temperature show the following results, 1. When fabrics sized, the rate of absorption increases according to the order of rice, corn, pp.V.A., potato, wheat flour for cotton fabrics, of rice, corn, pp.V.A., wheat, potato flour for hemp fabrics and of the rice, pp.V.A., potato, corn, wheat flour for T/C fabrics : rice flour shows an absorption rate highest among all the others mentioned above. 2. To a certain extent, the stronger the concentration of sizing agents, the higher the rate of absorption. 3. The higher fabrics density, the higher absorption rate. 4. The structure and hydrophilic property of the sized fabrics affect the rate of absorption. 5. The fabrics with water content of 20% before sizing it shows the rate of absorption highest. 6. An iron temperature after sizing fabrics shows the rate of absorption highest at the properest at the properest one : $180^{\circ}C$ for cotton, $150^{\circ}C$ for T/C and $200^{\circ}C$ for hemp fabrics.

이중확장칼만필터(DEKF)를 기반한 건설장비용 리튬이온전지의 State of Charge(SOC) 및 State of Health(SOH) 추정 (State of Health and State of Charge Estimation of Li-ion Battery for Construction Equipment based on Dual Extended Kalman Filter)

  • 전기자동차와 신재생에너지에 관한 관심이 높아지면서 건설장비 산업분야에서도 리튬이온 배터리를 접목하려는 요구가 높아지고 있다. 건설중장비는 건설 현장의 다양한 작업으로 인해 전류 용량의 감소가 급속히 진행되기 때문에 SOC(State of Charge) 및 SOH(State of Health) 같은 배터리의 상태를 더욱 정확하게 추정할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 SOC와 SOH를 동시에 추정이 가능한 적응제어 기법 기반 이중확장칼만필터(Dual Extended Kalman Filter, DEKF) 알고리즘을 이용하여 실제 측정데이터와의 오차를 비교하였다. 배터리 충전 상태 예측을 위해 배터리 셀을 완전 충전 후 0.2C-rate조건에서 SOC 5% 간격으로 OCV를 측정하였고, 배터리의 열화를 판단할 수 있는 건전성 지표 확보를 위해 다양한 C-rate(0.2, 0.3, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5C rate) 조건에서 50 Cycle 동안 노화 실험을 수행하였다. DEKF를 이용한 SOC 및 SOH 추정 오차는 C-rate이 커질수록 커지는 경향을 보였으며 특히 SOC 추정결과, 0.2, 0.5 및 1C-rate에서 6%이하로 나타남을 확인하였다. 또한 SOH 추정 결과는 0.2 와 0.3C-rate에서 각각 최대오차 1.0% 및 1.3% 이내로 좋은 성능을 보이는 것으로 확인하였다. 다만, C-rate가 0.5C-rate에서 1.5C-rate으로 증가함에 따라 추정오차도 1.5%에서 2%로 다소 증가하는 것을 확인할 수 있었으나, 모든 C-rate 조건에서 DEKF를 사용한 SOH의 추정 성능은 약 2% 이내인 것으로 나타났다.
