The Grignard coupling reaction of bis(chloromethyl)diorganosilanes [(ClCH2)2SiR1R2: R1 = R2 = Me, la; R1 = Me, R2 = Ph, lb; R1 = R2 = Ph, lc] with diorganodichlorosilanes [(Cl2SiR3R4: R3 = R4 = Me, 2a; R3 = Me, R4 = Ph, 2b; R3 = R4 = Ph, 2c] at THE reflux temperature gave the intermolecular C-Si coupling product of 1,1,3,3-tetraorgano-1,3-disilacyclobutanes 3a-f in poor to moderate yields ranging from 7% to 50% along with polydiorganosilapropanes. The cyclization reaction of la-c with methyl-substituted dichlorosilanes 2a, b gave 1,3-disilacyclobutanes 3a-c, e, d in moderate yields (42-50%), while the same reaction with dichlorodiphenylsilane (2c) to 1,3-disilacyclobutanes 3d, f resulted in low yield (7-18%) probably due to the steric hindrance of two-phenyl groups on the silicon of 2c.
The chemical shifts of C-21 and C-23 in the $^{13}C$-NMR for (20R)-protopanaxatriol, (20R)-ginsenoside $Rh_1$ and (20R)-ginsenoside $Rg_3$ were revised by employing some extensive 2D-NMR techniques.
Let $\mathcal{W}$ be an additive full subcategory of the category R-Mod of left R-modules. We provide a method to construct a proper ${\mathcal{W}}^H_C$-resolution (resp. coproper ${\mathcal{W}}^T_C$-coresolution) of one term in a short exact sequence in R-Mod from those of the other two terms. By using these constructions, we introduce and study the stability of the Gorenstein categories ${\mathcal{G}}_C({\mathcal{W}}{\mathcal{W}}^T_C)$ and ${\mathcal{G}}_C({\mathcal{W}}^H_C{\mathcal{W}})$ with respect to a semidualizing bimodule C, and investigate the 2-out-of-3 property of these categories of a short exact sequence by using these constructions. Also we prove how they are related to the Gorenstein categories ${\mathcal{G}}((R{\ltimes}C){\otimes}_R{\mathcal{W}})_C$ and ${\mathcal{G}}(Hom_R(R{\ltimes}C,{\mathcal{W}}))_C$ over $R{\ltimes}C$.
Cyclopentadiene compounds, 2-[CR'R(OMe)]-1,3-Me$_2C_5H_3$ (R, R' = 2,2'-biphenyl, 2) and 2-[CR'R(OSiMe$_3$)]-1,3-Me$_2C_5H_3$ (R, R' = 2,2'-biphenyl, 3; R = ph, R' = ph, 4; R = 2-naphthyl, R' = H, 5) are readily synthesized from 2-bromo-3-methoxy-1,3-dimethylcyclopentene (1). Reaction of the cyclopentadienes with Ti(NMe$_2$)$_4$ in toluene results in clean formation of the cyclopentadienyl tris(dimethylamido)titanium complexes, which are transformed to the trichloride complexes, 2-[CR'R(OMe)]-1,3-Me$_2C_5H_2$}TiCl$_3$ (R, R' = 2,2'-biphenyl, 6) and {2-[CR'R(OSiMe$_3$)]-1,3-Me$_2C_5H_2$}TiCl$_3$ (R, R' = 2,2'-biphenyl, 7; R = ph, R' = ph, 8; R = 2-naphthyl, R' = H, 9). Attempts to form C1-bridged Cp/oxido complexes by elimination of MeCl or Me$_3$SiCl were not successful. X-ray structures of 6, 7 and an intermediate complex {2-[Ph$_2$C(OSiMe$_3$)]-1,3-Me$_2C_5H_2$}TiCl$_2$(NMe$_2$) (10) were determined.
The evaporation heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop of R-22 and R-407C in a small diameter copper tube were investigated experimentally. The main components of the refrigerant loop are a receiver, a compressor, a mass flow mete, a condense and a double pipe type evaporate (test section). The test section consists of a smooth copper tube of 4.3 mm inner diameter. The refrigerant mass fluxes were varied from 100 to $300[kg/m^{2}s]$ and the saturation temperature of evaporator were $5[^{\circ}C]$. The evaporation heat transfer coefficients of R-22 and R-407C increase with the Increase in mass flux and vapor quality. The evaporation heat transfer coefficient of R-22 is about $7.3\sim47.1%$ higher than that of R-407C. The evaporation pressure drop of R-22 and R-407C increase with the increase of mass flux. The pressure drop of R-22 is about $8\sim20%$ higher than that of R-407C.

When the weight if a concrete member makes problems, or when the cost of the concrete is relatively high, it may be economical to use a hollow concrete member. But a hollow R.C column may have poor ductility because of the brittle failure at the inner face of the hollow R.C column. This brittle failure results from the absence of the confinement at the inner face of the hollow R.C column. To avoid this brittle failure an internally confined hollow R.C column by a steel tube was developed before. In this study, a hollow R.C column is internally confined by a corrugated steel tube instead of a general flat steel tube. And a column ductility is performed. Test results show that the energy ductility ratio of a internally confined hollow R.C column by a by a corrugated steel tube corresponds to $80\%$ of the energy ductility ratio of a general solid R.C column.
Let M be an exponentially bounded o-minimal expansion of the standard structure R = (R ,+,.,<) of the field of real numbers. We prove that if r is a non-negative integer, then every definable $C^{r}$ manifold is affine. Let f : X ${\longrightarrow}$ Y be a definable $C^1$ map between definable $C^1$ manifolds. We show that the set S of critical points of f and f(S) are definable and dim f(S) < dim Y. Moreover we prove that if 1 < s < ${\gamma}$ < $\infty$, then every definable $C^{s}$ manifold admits a unique definable $C^{r}$ manifold structure up to definable $C^{r}$ diffeomorphism.

We study the structure of right regular commutators, and call a ring R strongly C-regular if ab - ba ∈ (ab - ba)2R for any a, b ∈ R. We first prove that a noncommutative strongly C-regular domain is a division algebra generated by all commutators; and that a ring (possibly without identity) is strongly C-regular if and only if it is Abelian C-regular (from which we infer that strong C-regularity is left-right symmetric). It is proved that for a strongly C-regular ring R, (i) if R/W(R) is commutative, then R is commutative; and (ii) every prime factor ring of R is either a commutative domain or a noncommutative division ring, where W(R) is the Wedderburn radical of R.

Experimental results for forced convection condensationof Refrigerant-22 and ternary Refrigerant-407c(HFC-32/125/134a 23/25/52 wt%) considered as a substitute R-22 inside horizontal micor-fin tubes are presented. The test section was horizontal double-tubed counterflow condenser with a length 4000 mm micro-fin tube having 9.53 mm OD., 0.2 mm fin height and 60 fins. The refrigerants R-22 and R-407c were cooled by a coolant circulated in a surrounding annulus. The range of parameters of mass velocity was varied from 102.1 to 301.0kg/($\textrm{m}^{2}.s$) with inlet quality 1.0. Both refrigerant R-22 and its alternative refrigerant R-407c were tested within the same range of parameters. At the given experimental conditions for R-22 and R-407c the pressure drops for R-407c were considerably higher than those for R-22 at micro-fin tubes. Over the mass velocity range tested the PF(penalty factor)was lower than the increasing ratio of heat transfer area by fins. Based on the data correlation was proposed for predicting the frictional pressure drops for R-22 and R-407c for a duration of condensation inside a horizontal micro-fin tube.
Apolipoprotein (apo) C-III is a marker protein of triacylglycerol (TG)-rich lipoproteins and high-density lipoproteins (HDL), and has been proposed as a risk factor of coronary heart disease. To compare the physiologic role of reconstituted HDL (rHDL) with or without apoC-III, we synthesized rHDL with molar ratios of apoA-I:apoC-III of 1:0, 1:0.5, 1:1, and 1:2. Increasing the apoC-III content in rHDL produced smaller rHDL particles with a lower number of apoA-I molecules. Furthermore, increasing the molar ratio of apoC-III in rHDL enhanced the surfactant-like properties and the ability to lyse dimyristoyl phosphatidylcholine. Furthermore, rHDL containing apoC-III was found to be more resistant to particle rearrangement in the presence of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) than rHDL that contained apoA-I alone. In addition, the lecithin:cholesterol acyltransferase (LCAT) activation ability was reduced as the apoC-III content of the rHDL increased; however, the CE transfer ability was not decreased by the increase of apoC-III. Finally, rHDL containing apoC-III aggravated the production of MDA in cell culture media, which led to increased cellular uptake of LDL. Thus, the addition of apoC-III to rHDL induced changes in the structural and functional properties of the rHDL, especially in particle size and rearrangement and LCAT activation. These alterations may lead to beneficial functions of HDL, which is involved in anti-atherogenic properties in the circulation.
