Quantitative Fire Risk Assessment and Counter Plans Based on FDS and GIS for National Road Bridges (FDS와 GIS를 이용한 교량 화재 위험도의 정량적 평가 및 적용방안)

  • In recent years, unexpected bridge fire accidents have increased because of augmenting the number of traffic volumes and hazardous materials by the increment in traffics and distribution business. Furthermore, in accordance with the effort of using the under space of bridges, the ratio of occupied by combustible materials like oil tanker or lorry has been increased. As a result, the occurrence of bridge fire has been growing drastically. In order to mitigate the accident of bridge fire, risk assessment of bridge fire has been studied, however, practical risk models considering safety from users' viewpoints were scarce. This study represented quantitative risk assessment model applicable to national road bridges in Korea. The primary factors with significant impacts on bridge fire accidents was chosen such as clearance height, materials of bridges, arrival time of fire truck and fire intensity. The selected factors were used for Fire Dynamics Simulation (FDS) and the peak temperature calculated by FDS in accordance with the fire duration and fire intensity. The risk assessment model in bridge fire reflected the FDS analysis results, the fire damage criteria, and the grade of fire truck arrival time was established. Response plans for bridge fire accidents according to the risk assessment output has been discussed. Lastly, distances between bridges and fire stations were calculated by GIS network analysis. Based on the suggested assessment model and methodology, sample bridges were selected and graded for the risk assessment.

An Empirical Study on the Economical Competition Factors of Internet Retailers (인터넷 소매상의 경제적 경쟁요인에 관한 실증연구)

  • 고석하 등(2002)은 인터넷 소매상이 상품 품목의 명목 가격과 배송료를 이용해서 고객의 일회 총 구매 비용을 조절한다는 것을 밝혔다. 고석하 등(2002)은 같은 내용의 상품 조합을 인터넷 시장에서 구매하기 위한 비용과 전통 시장에서 구매하기 위한 비용을 비교하였다. 분석 결과, 그 교호작용과 함께, 상품 종류와 일회 구매액/가격의 크기의 두 요소가 인터넷 시장의 전통 시장에 대한 총 구매비용 할인율의 변동의 약 60%내지 80%를 설명할 수 있다는 것을 보여주었다. 한편, 구매액/가격은 인터넷 시장에서의 해당 산포도(전통 시장의 그것에 대비한)에는 거의 영향을 미치지 못하며, 상품의 종류도 산포도에는 할인율에서와 같이 큰 영향을 미치지 않았다. 인터넷 시장의 가격이나 구매비용 산포도는 상품 특성이나 구매액 크기 이외의 다른 요인에 의해서 주로 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 가격 요인 이외의 경제적 경쟁요인에 관한 실증연구로서, 2002년 6월 17일부터 20일까지, 소프트웨어, PC와 주변기기, 휴대폰, 가전제품, CD, 화장품, 그리고 책의 7가지 산업 전문 쇼핑몰과 종합 쇼핑몰을 대상으로, 인터넷 시장에서 수행되고 있는 경제적인 비 가격 경쟁요인에 관한 실증 조사를 실시하였다. 조사 결과, 인터넷 시장에서 수행되고 있는 경제적인 비 가격 경쟁요인은 매우 다양하며, 상품별로도 다른 특성을 보이고 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 인터넷 소매상의 경제적인 비 가격 경쟁요인은 크게 배송료 면제와 배송료 외 인센티브 제도로 구분된다 본 논문에서는 경제적인 비 가격 경쟁요인의 모든 경우의 수를 고려할 수 있도록, 코드표를 작성하여 정리하고 분석하였다.전체 분석정보의 공유가 필수적으로 발생하게 됨으로, 유전체 정보와 임상정보의 통합은 미래 의료환경에 필수기능이 될 것이다. 3) 각 생명공학 연구소에서 사용하는 첨단 분석 장비와 생명공학 정보시스템의 자동 연계가 필요하다. 현재 국내에는 전국적인 초고속정보망이 가동되어 웹을 기반으로 하는 생명정보의 공유는 기술적으로 문제가 될 수 없으나 임상정보의 유전체연구에 그리고 유전체연구정보의 임상활용은 다양한 문제를 내포하고 있다. 이에 영상을 포함한 환자정보의 유전체연구센터와 병원정보시스템과의 효율적인 연계통합 운영을 위해 국내에서는 초기 도입단계에 있는 국제적인 보건의료정보의 표준인 Health Level 7 (textural information 공유), DICOM (image 및 wave 공유), 관련 ISO표준, WHO의 ICD9/10 (질병분류), LOINC (검사 및 관련용어), SNOMED International (의학용어) 등을 활용하여야 한다.matrix.   • Social networking services (SNS) are developing significantly with the Internet and smartphones. It's a friendly social media, but if you think deeply about it, you'll find that it has a variety of faces. It is a communication tool between users, a medium for delivering information, an infrastructure for providing applications, and a community where people with common interests gather. In recent years, business tools, shopping and payment methods are also being swallowed. The influence of the spread of SNS on the real world is also expanding, and the work being dealt with from a sociological perspective is also increasing. Also, if you pay attention to the technical aspects of SNS, it is composed of various technical elements, such as infrastructure that handles large-scale access, user interface that supports comfortable use, and big data analysis to understand people's behavior more deeply. However, I usually use it as usual. However, if you look through SNS, you can see that the situation is surprisingly profound and multifaceted. This study began by looking at the history and current status of SNS and attempted to find its status through comparison with other media.   • This study investigates the time-space characteristics of intra-urban passenger flows in the Metropolitan Seoul area. In particular, we analyze the relationships between transit ridership and land use through the use of the subway passenger flow data obtained from the transit transaction databases. For this purpose, the strength of each subway station, i.e., the number of total in-coming and out-going passengers at each station, in the morning, afternoon, and evening, is calculated and visualized, which reflects urban land use patterns. Then the subway stations are classified into four groups via a hierarchical analysis of the in-coming and out-going passenger flows at 353 stations. Each group appears to have characteristic properties according to the region, e.g., residential areas and central business districts. This has been confirmed by the analysis which probes explicitly the relationship between the local socio-economic variables and station groups. This analysis, disclosing the inter-relationship between the subway network and urban land use, may be useful at various stages in urban as well as transportation planning, and provides analytical tools for a wide spectrum of applications ranging from impact evaluation to decision-making and planning support.

Effect of Change in Hydrological Environment by Climate Change on River Water Quality in Nam River Watershed (기후변화에 따른 남강유역의 수문환경의 변화가 하천수질에 미치는 영향)

  • In Korea, the rainfall is concentrated in summer under the influence of monsoon climate. Thus, even a small climate change can be significant problems in water resources. As a result, a lot of attention has been focused on climate changes and a number of researches have been conducted in a manner commensurate with the attention to the climate change. This study is intended to forecast the changes in the flow and water quality of the Nam river resulting from the future climate changes in the Nam river basin using a watershed and water quality model. An SWAT model, as a watershed hydrologic model, was established after estimating a climate scenario using an artificial neural network method, and the established model was verified and adjusted using date from the Ministry of Environment to evaluate the applicability of the model. As a consequence, $R^2$ showed more than 0.7 in the simulation test, which satisfies the minimum required level. Results from the SWAT model and the future Namgang dam discharge calculated by HEC-ResSIM is used as input date for QUALKO. The results showed a huge variation in BOD depending on the annual flow of the river, which recorded a maximum difference of 2 mg/L between a rainy season and a dry season. It can be deduced that because rainfall and the runoff of a basin significantly account for the water quality of a river, higher water concentrations are recorded in a dry season in which the flow is not as much as that in a rainy season. It also can be said that water should be reserved in advance to secure water in the Nam river downstream for a dry season and be controlled in an effective and efficient manner to provide better water quality.

  • 최근 들어 전자상거래의 급속한 발달로 전 세계적으로 수송 물동량이 급격히 증대되고 있고, 이로 인해 택배사업이 대단히 활성화되고 있다. 출발지와 목적지가 서로 상이한 무수히 만은 수송 요구가 들어오면 수송 요구화물의 신속한 집배송을 위한 배차계획 및 수송계획을 세우는 것이 택배회사의 주요 업무이다. 이러한 배차 계획 및 수송 계획을 어떻게 수립하느냐에 따라 전체 수송비용뿐만 아니라 고객들의 서비스 수준에 상당한 영향을 미치게 된다. 그러나 이러한 운영적 차원에서의 의사결정 이전에 훨씬 중요하게 고려해야 할 내용이 택배네트워크의 설계 문제이다. 이러한 택배네트워크의 설계에는 터미널 개수 및 위치를 결정하는 전략적 문제와 영업소들을 터미널에 할당하는 전술적 문제로 구분될 수 있다. 현재 우리 국내에는 크고 작은 수많은 택배사업자들이 있으나, 그 중에서 비교적 규모가 큰 주요 택배회사들은 대부분 전국에 걸쳐 다수의 터미널을 설치하여 두고 수송화물의 집배송을 위한 물류거점으로 운영하고 있다. 이와 같은 터미널 위치 및 개수가 정해진 상태에서 전국에 걸쳐 분포되어 있는 영업소들을 어떤 터미널에 할당하여 처리되도록 하느냐의 여부는 수송비용 측면에서뿐만 아니라 고객들에 대한 서비스 측면에서 대단히 중요한 의사결정 중의 하나이다. 본 연구에서는 비용과 시간을 고려하여 전국에 걸쳐 분포되어 있는 영업소들을 어떤 터미널에 할당해야 하는지를 결정하기 위한 수리적 모형을 제시하고, 이에 대한 탐색적 해법을 제시하며, 국내의 택배회사 사례를 대상으로 모형을 적용해 보고자 한다.무가 많이 발생하는 유통 분야의 프랜차이즈 산업을 대상으로 기업정보시스템 구현 및 경쟁력 강화를 뒷받침하기 위해서, 기업간 프로세스 협업(collaboration) 부분의 데이터 및 서식, 이를 취급하는 기능과 프로세스에 대란 분석을 통해 업무 프로세스 모델링 방법론과 관련한 모델링 지침 및 메타모델을 이용한 표준 업무 프로세스 모델을 개발하여 기업간 업무 프로세스 표준화에 대한 체계적인 관리에 대한 방안을 연구하고자 한다.의Bullwhip effect를 감소시킬 수 있는 장점이 있다. 동시에 이것은 향후 e-Business 시스템 구축을 위한 기본 인프라 역할을 수행할 수 있게 된다. 많았고 년도에 따른 변화는 보이지 않았다. 스키손상의 발생빈도는 초기에 비하여 점차 감소하는 경향을 보였으며, 손상의 특성도 부위별, 연령별로 다양한 변화를 나타내었다.해가능성을 가진 균이 상당수 검출되므로 원료의 수송, 김치의 제조 및 유통과정에서 병원균에 대한 오염방지에 유의하여야 할 것이다. 확인할 수 있었다. 이상의 결과에 의하면 고농도의 유기물이 함유된 음식물쓰레기는 Hybrid Anaerobic Reactor (HAR)를 이용하여 HRT 30일 정도에서 충분히 직접 혐기성처리가 가능하며, 이때 발생된 $CH_{4}$를 회수하여 이용하면 대체에너지원으로 활용 가치가 높은 것으로 판단된다./207), $99.2\%$(238/240), $98.5\%$(133/135) 및 $100\%$ (313)였다. 각

  • The purpose of this paper is to describe the Disaster Management System Development of Enterprise GIS at the Kangwon Province in Korea. This project is included into 'the Kangwon Enterprise GIS 21 plan'. The Division of Disaster Management is in the middle of the 2-year project of the Disaster Management System development, appropriate for business performed at the Departments of Forestry, Culture, Environment, Tourism, etc. At the 1st phase of CIS implementation, for more than half a year we focused on the necessity of management of disasters. In the planning process, we needed long-term information on the whole area of Kangwon. In the assessment and response processes, we needed real-time data from Korean Meteorological Administration and other agencies. All the above information was carefully studied and referred to. ESRI's new GIS technologies solve the natural hazard/disaster problems. For example, hazardous materials routing often needs to be found the least expensive path through a roadway network. In the circumstances given, we can choose the departure point and destination of the vehicle, which carries the materials. It's also possible to minimize overall risk and costs of disaster problems by making a plan of people and possessions evacuation from the disaster area in short time limits. We can meet all the above goals using the latest ESRI's technologies.

The Evolution of the IT Service Industry in the U.S. National Capital Region: The Case of Fairfax County (미국 수도권 IT서비스산업 집적지의 진화: 페어팩스 카운티를 사례로)

  • This study aims to explore an evolutionary path of the IT service industry in Fairfax County using the Cluster Adaptive Cycle model in economic geography. The analysis is based on detailed historical and industrial information obtained through a variety of data sources including local archival materials, economic census, and interviews. This study also performs a shift-share analysis during the period of 1990 to 2011. Using the adaptive cycle model, the local IT service industry is indicated by a trajectory of constant cluster mutation. The evolution of the local IT service industry has been closely related to federal government policy due to the regional specificity of the National Capital Region and the proximity of the Department of Defense. Although the economic downturn of the late 2000s, the local IT service industry has been notable resilience and adapted to a changing market and technological environment. This constant mutation of the local industry is resulted from not only high resilience which is based on the large government procurement market, the reinforcement of adaptive capacity of the local firms and the network of economic agents such as firm and supporting institutions, but also high flexibility of the knowledge-based service industry to a changing business environment.

Supervisor System Development for Improving Quality of RFID Cold Storage Management Systems (RFID 냉동창고 관리시스템의 품질향상을 위한 슈퍼바이저 시스템 개발)

  • A cold storage is a warehouse of a insulated building with cooling installations. It has many different types of cold rooms with temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius, and the sequential workflow such as receiving, picking and packing runs in that rooms. Recently, the cold storages have adopted RFID technology, and consequently, warehouse product management in them are becoming intelligent and network. However, information inconsistency in warehouses caused by physical and logical errors reduces reliability in the RFID cold storage management system and worsens their work efficiency. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an early detection system to identify errors. In this paper, we suggest a supervisory system detecting logical errors on business processes of the RFID cold storage. It is composed of a master supervisor and mobile supervisor. In the master supervisor, the manager can set the constraints conditions and get alerts, and in the mobile supervisor, the workers confirm and deal with these faults directly. The supervisory system improve reliability of the RFID cold storage management system by recognizing a failure to identify physically and logically using these constraint conditions. This paper shows that the supervisory system can reduce the average recovery time to improve reliability by decreasing the time for detecting and analyzing errors in the RFID cold storage management system.

A Study on Countermeasures for Technical Barriers of Trade in Korea-China FTA (한.중 FTA의 무역기술장벽 대응방안에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to research the situation of Technical Barriers of Trade(TBT) between Korea and China and analyze a pending issue such as a regular TBT notifications and specific trade concerns informed to WTO/TBT committee by Korea and China and seek the Countermeasures for Technical Barriers of Trade in Korea-China FTA. Generally, in case of a regular TBT notifications, "a protection of human health or safety" and "protection of the environment" are drawn a main articles from TBT committee data. And in case of a specific trade concerns, "international standard" and "transparency" are drawn a important factor from the said data. Henceforth those kinds of articles shall be an issuable matters for negotiation of Technical Barriers of Trade in Korea-China FTA. The results of the study indicate mainly that as Countermeasures of Korea for Technical Barriers of Trade in Korea-China FTA, Korean government level requires to withdraw an exclusive technical regulation of China and supports to improve Chinese technology for safety of products. Korean enterprises should develop products to meet an environment regulation and Korean government should support finance incentive, tax incentive to enterprises. Besides, regarding new international standard it is necessary for Korean side to dominate a relative regulation. First of all, it is important to secure a strength of capability and human resource for international standard activity. For improving a conveyance of notification information and transparency between Korea and China, it is efficient to establish a mutual direct network of notification.
