  • Service identification and composition is one of the key characteristics for a successful Service-Oriented Computing, being receiving a lot of attention from researchers in recent years. In the Service-Oriented Analysis, the identification of business services has to be preceded before application services are identified. Most approaches addressing the derivation of business services are based on heuristic methods and human experts. The manual identification of business services is highly expensive and ambiguous task, and it may result in the service design with bad quality because of errors and misconception. Although a few of approaches of automatic service identification are proposed, most of them are in focus on technical architectures and application services. In this paper, we propose a model on the automatic identification of business services by horizontal and vertical service alignment using Enterprise Architecture as an ontology. We verify the effectiveness of the proposed model of business services identification through a case study based on Department of Defense Enterprise Architecture.

  • Web services are key applications in businessto-business, business-to-customer, and enterprise applications integration solutions. As the mobile internet becomes one of the main methods for information delivery, mobile Web Services are regarded as a critical aspect of e-business architecture. In this paper, we proposed a mobile Web Services middleware that converts conventional internet services into mobile Web services. We implemented a WSDL (Web Service Description Language) builder that converts HTML/XML into WSDL and a SAOP (Simple Object Access Protocol) message processor that performs SOAP message handling, chain and handling of server requests. The former minimizes the overhead cost of rebuilding mobile Web Services and enables seamless services between wired and wireless internet services. The latter enhances SOAP processing performance by eliminating the Servlet container (Tomcat), a required component of typical Web services implementation. Our main contributions are to overcome the latency problem of current Web Services and to provide an easy mobile Web service implementation. Our system can completely support standard Web Services protocol, minimizing communication overhead, message processing time, and server overload. Finally we compare our empirical results with those of typical Web Services.

  • We introduce about XBRL, eXtensible Business Reporting Language, which is widely accepted as the international standard language for business financial reporting. XBRL is a language for the electronic communication of business and financial data which is revolutionizing business reporting around the world. It provides major benefits in the preparation, analysis and communication of business information. It offers cost savings, greater efficiency and improved accuracy and reliability to all those involved in supplying or using financial data. XBRL is a kind of XML application based on the open Internet technologies. We propose a framework for enterprise information supply chain using XBRL Web services. A Web service is defined as a software system based on XML and designed to support interoperable machine-to-machine interaction over a network by the W3C. Web services are frequently just application programming interfaces (API) that can be accessed over a network, such as the internet and executed on a remote system hosting the requested services. An XBRL Web service-based enterprise information supply chain enables for companies to implement seamless information supply chains from businesses to financial institutions, to supervisory authorities, and to other stake holders for real time information access. And thereby it is expected to contribute to the increase in the value of companies due to the enhanced visibility and transparency of accounting and management.

  • Nowadays, users' reviews and feedback on e-commerce sites stored in text create a huge source of information for analyzing customers' experience with goods and services provided by a business. In other words, collecting and analyzing this information is necessary to better understand customer needs. In this study, we first collected a corpus with 99,322 customers' comments and opinions in English. From this corpus we chose the best number of topics (K) using Perplexity and Coherence Score measurements as the input parameters for the model. Finally, we conducted an experiment using the latent Dirichlet allocation (LDA) topic model with K coefficients to explore the topic. The model results found hidden topics and keyword sets with high probability that are interesting to users. The application of empirical results from the model will support decision-making to help businesses improve products and services as well as business management and development in the field of hotel services.
