This study aims at investigating the effects of internal control effectiveness on business survival of food businesses in Thailand through the mediators of productivity improvement and value creation. In this study, 155 food businesses in Thailand are the samples of the study. The results show that internal control effectiveness has a significant influence on productivity improvement and business survival. Productivity improvement critically affects value creation and business survival while value creation is an important determinant of business survival. However, internal control effectiveness has no relationship with value creation. Also, productivity improvement explicitly mediates the internal control effectiveness-business survival relationships. In summary, internal control effectiveness can enhance firms' sustainable competitive advantage, superior performance and long-term survival. Firms need to focus on internal control effectiveness through investing their assets and resources and utilizing their abilities, competencies and capabilities in order to continuously develop and improve their appropriate concepts and characteristics in an organization. Better internal control effectiveness definitely leads to more long-term survival. To generalize the research results, future research needs to collect data from other businesses and industries. Increased response rate of the study is important for future research to verify and confirm the research results.

최근의 전 세계적인 경기 침체에 따라 산업계 전반에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 신용보증기금에 등록된 중소기업들의 자료에 대하여 생존 분석을 이용하여 생존율을 추정하였다. 또한 중소기업의 자산규모와 업종에 따라 건설업과 타 업종으로 구분하여 생존율에 관한 동향을 비교분석하였다. 이때 생존율은 생명표에 의해 구하였으며, 업종별 생존율의 차이는 로그순위 검정과 윌콕슨의 검정통계량을 사용하여 분석하였다. 실험 결과 중소기업의 자산규모가 10억 이상이 가장 높았으며, 1억 미만, 1억에서 10억 미만은 비슷한 생존율을 보였다. 업종별로는 도소매업과 서비스업이 경공업과 중공업, 건설업에 비하여 생존율이 높았으며 건설업의 경우 생존율이 가장 낮음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 대부분의 중소기업들은 시간이 지날수록 위험률이 상승하는 추세를 보였다.

Purpose - Through the analysis and research of different characteristics and related mechanisms of live commerce anchors, this paper aimed to help live commerce anchors to strengthen their characteristic advantages, beautify the live broadcast environment, improve resource allocation and enhance business performance, so as to help live commerce anchors to achieve better high-quality development. Research design, data, and methodology - This study was conducted by sample survey method on 361 live commercial anchors who have experience in using major online shopping malls for more than one year. Data analysis methods were frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation model analysis. Result - Hypothesis 1 through Hypothesis 5 were all supported. The results of this study suggest that professionalism and mutual entertainment of live commercial anchors have a significant impact on business performance, survival strategy, resource allocation and environment selection. The resource allocation and environment selection of live commercial anchors play a mediating role in the professionalism and mutual entertainment of live commercial anchors on business performance and survival strategy. Conclusion -The results implied that the professionalism and inter entertainment of live commercial anchors have a positive impact on business performance and survival strategy. In the new situation, live commercial anchors should further improve their professionalism and mutual entertainment, so as to achieve better development.

The purpose of this study is to investigate COVID-19's impact on firm survival, as well as the management accounting system's role in adjusting operation efficiency for business survival. Two sets of data comprising small enterprises in the service sector were used. The first business group serves customers who have changed their lifestyle to a new normal. The second business group serves customers who are affected by social distancing measures. The data was collected based on an in-depth interview method. The data was then evaluated using content analysis and analytic comparison. The results show that the COVID-19 situation positively impacts the business survival of the service businesses group that serves customers who have changed lifestyles. However, COVID-19 has a negative effect on the survival of service business groups that serve customers affected by social distancing measures. In addition, the management accounting used during COVID-19, small enterprises have analyzed the operating environment and used the information stored in the database to determine goals for the operation. This study provides comprehensive economic effects and the utilization of management accounting systems. The accounting systems helped to decide to adjust the operation process during the quick changing of the environment of the small enterprise in the service sector.

This study investigates the decisive factors affecting the survival or collapse of cable networks in the Korean paid broadcasting market from 1993 to 2010. The effects of performance variables discussed in previous studies were verified through survival analyses. According to the results, the most influential factors in the survival of cable networks were horizontal integration (MPP), channel genre, the scheduling of HDTV content, and the proportion of access program scheduling. These findings imply that the differentiation strategy of content suppliers is the most decisive factor among all business performance-related factors. Specifically, the content supply power and strategy of the program provider (PP) have the greatest influence on cable network viability. The present study is meaningful as the first attempt to establish the performance of PPs in Korean pay broadcasting markets through the viewpoint of organizational mortality. Accordingly, the present study can supplement the results of cross-sectional studies conducted with smaller samples.

There are several stage in corporate's life cycle such as foundation, growth, maturity or bankruptcy. A bankruptcy is very important for corporate in the life cycle. Especially, venture business' life cycle is short compare to other type of corporate. A lot of venture businesses have emerged and bankrupted soon in the market. Venture businesses' survival or bankruptcy have been influenced by not only external environment like the rate of exchange, oil price, and foreign exchange crisis but also internal environment such as efficiency, process, human resources, finance and CEO. In this paper, we attempt to examine financial factors and efficiency that influence on the venture businesses' survival and bankruptcy. The more venture businesses have high efficiency score, the more they have high probability of survival.

본 연구의 목적은 청년창업보증을 지원 받은 청년창업기업의 비재무정보를 활용하여 비모수적 방법인 카플란마이어 분석(Kaplanr-Meier Analysis)으로 생존율 및 생존특성에 대해 분석하였다. 창업자의 연령을 20대와 30대로 구분하여 생존특성별 평균생존시간을 추정하고 생존시간에 영향을 미치는 주요 변수를 분석하였다. 연구대상은 2014년 신용보증기관에서 청년창업보증을 지원 받은 기업 3825개가 표본으로 선정되었으며, 이중 정상기업는 3242개, 부실기업는 583개이다. 연구대상기간은 2011년 1월 1일부터 2017년 12월 31일까지로 정하여 생존분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 창업자의 연령별 구분 결과 20대는 3개의 변수가 30대는 5개의 변수가 유의한 변수로 도출되어 20대와 30대의 창업자 연령에 따른 차이가 발생하고 있다. 창업지원기관과 금융기관은 창업자 연령을 구분한 신용평가시스템의 개발이 필요하며, 20대 창업자의 특성을 반영할 수 있는 정보를 찾아내고, 20대 창업자를 위한 전용 금융상품의 개발이 필요하다. 또한 생존시간이 긴 창업기업에 대해서는 유망중소기업으로 성장할 수 있도록 단계별 지원방안이 필요하며, 생존시간이 짧은 기업에 대해서는 금융지원과 경영컨설팅 등 비금융지원의 활성화가 필요하다. 본 연구는 청년창업기업의 비재무정보를 이용하여 생존분석을 수행하였다는 점에서 의의가 있으며, 이와 같은 생존분석결과는 창업지원기관과 창업자에게 창업기업의 생존특성 정보를 제공하여 창업기업의 생존율을 높이는데 기여할 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the survival characteristics of the restaurant business by trade area type (major and side street). By the increase of the unemployment rate, the new foundation of selt-employment type is increasing. However, due to high competition and economic recession, the sustainability of new foundation is not high. Therefore, in this study, survival analysis was performed considering the individual and commercial characteristics focused on the ordinary restaurants. The major findings are as follow. First, the characteristics of parcel unit and adjacent area have a significant effect on the survival. This means the micro-scopic spatial characteristics should be considered for survival in the location choice. Second, the regional economic characteristics in trade area have a significant effect on survival. Furthermore, these characteristics are different by the trade area type. Third. the development characteristics have a different effect on survival by the building usage and trade area type. Finally, regional economic characteristics have a significant effect on survival. These results are expected to be used as basic data for commercial location selection and trade area analysis system in the private and public sectors.

최근 글로벌 금융위기와 중소기업들의 연이은 도산으로 인해 국내 중소기업들의 구조조정에 대한 논의가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 신용보증기금에 등록된 중소기업 자료에 대하여 업종별 생존율 동향을 비교분석하였다. 이때 생존율의 차이는 로그순위 검정과 윌콕슨의 검정통계량을 사용하여 분석하였다. 또한 재무변수들을 이용하여 중소기업의 업종별 콕스 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 도소매업과 서비스업이 경공업과 중공업, 건설업에 비하여 생존율이 높았으며, 건설업의 경우 생존율이 가장 낮음을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 업종별로 유의한 재무변수를 살펴보면, 건설업은 자기자본비율, 유동비율이 커질수록 부도율이 감소하는 반면에 차입금의존도가 커질수록 부도율이 증가하였다. 경공업은 자기자본비율, 총자산 순이익률이 커질수록, 도소매업은 자기자본비율, 유동비율이 커질수록 부도율이 감소하였다. 중공업은 자기자본비율, 총자산 순이익률, 유동비율이 커질수록 부도율이 감소하였지만 결합지표가 커질수록 부도율이 증가하였다. 마지막으로, 서비스업은 유동비율이 커질수록 부도율이 감소하였다.

Purpose: This study examined the effect of situational, transformational, and transactional leadership on the firm survival of restaurants distribution in Thailand during the COVID-19 pandemic. Following the existing literature, situational, transformational, and transactional leadership are the origin of firm performance leading to firm survival. Therefore, situational, transformational, and transactional leadership were the critical factors in creating the firm implementation of restaurants distribution in Thailand. Research design, data, and methodology: The sample consisted of 400 restaurants in Thailand, and the statistical approach for data analysis was an ordinary least-squares regression. The study analyzed the response bias, validity, and reliability. Results: Significantly, these findings firmly revealed that situational, transformational, and transactional leadership primarily positively affected firm performance. However, the uncertain environmental conditions had a moderate impact, resulting in a negative correlation between the three leadership styles and the company's performance. Conclusions: Despite the COVID-19 situation in Thailand, the research findings show no significant positive correlation between the performance of restaurants distribution and their survival as a business due to the COVID-19 pandemic is rare for firms to endure and survive, including restaurants distribution in Thailand. In conclusion, we have presented practical and theoretical ideas and recommendations for future research.
