Design and Analysis of Business Model using Mobile RFID in the Exhibition Space and its Cases (모바일 RFID에 기반한 유비쿼터스 전시공간 비즈니스 모델 설계 및 사례 연구)

  • The aim of this research is to develop a new business model using mobile RFID in exhibition spaces such as museums and art galleries. Using mobile RFID, the exhibition space is expected to be evolved from a simple media space only for the exhibition to an extended space integrating media, commerce and entertainment. This paper proposes a u-Exhibition business model and its scenario in the u-Exhibition space. We discuss the real-world issues for the implementation and show the ways of investigating working conditions for the business model through revenue simulation and analyzing the expected value of tag installed on the exhibition space by so-called 'tag evaluation model.'

  • This research focused on the strategy formulation for the Innopolis as a Global Innovation Cluster. The study was performed based on both theoretical study and qualitative study approaches. Particularly, scenario planning as a foresight method was used for the strategy formulation. The major determinants for the success of the Innopolis can be summarized as follows; the enhancement of the host institution for the development of the innovation cluster, the relational capability of the Innopolis among daedeok, gwangju, daegu and the alignment and cooperation of the International Science & Business Belt. In terms of the needs of times, this study regarding the strategy for the formation of the Innopolis as the global innovation cluster is anticipated to be a good reference for policy makers and researchers in coming years.

  • Due to the technological developments and industrial changes , studying for the future has been attached great importance. According to the forthcoming ubiquitous computing environment or smart environment, it is necessary for a country and an enterprise to forecast the future or foresight the future technologies . Although many countries have been doing the foresight, it is difficult for the enterprise to try future foresight activity, because the foresight activity needs lots of the costs and time for good results. Also, almost methodologies used in foresight are suitable for country level foresight projects. In this research, a methodology is developed for an enterprise to use easily, and a case based on the proposed methodology is presented. The proposed foresight methodology is developed based on the traditional forecasting methods, FAR, Future Wheel, and Scenario. Especially, the methodology focused on the customers of a company.

  • In recently, digital comic content distribution was not stable for illegal distribution and the weak of intellectual property right in the internet. The research activities of suggest the distribution model and secure intellectual property right are going in international standard communities, not yet in Korea. As the basis of the research, the general framework of international projects and standards such as MPEG-21, IMPREMATUR, FILIGRANE was analysed. Targeting on the domain of digital comics industry, the digital comics distribution structure and business flow model are defined adapting secured distribution system, DRM. The detail content of this research consist of three themes. The first, survey and analysis of the international standard & leading DRM project's models. The second, suggestion of the service scenario on the digital comic content distribution. The third, suggestion of the model on the secured distribution of digital comics. Through this research targeting at the digital comics business, we found that standards technical items and requirements was well adapted into target domain, and would affect other domain in digital content industry.

Collaborative Filtering for Credit Card Recommendation based on Multiple User Profiles (신용카드 추천을 위한 다중 프로파일 기반 협업필터링)

  • Collaborative filtering, one of the most widely used techniques to build recommender systems, is based on the idea that users with similar preferences can help one another find useful items. Credit card user behavior analytics show that most customers hold three or less credit cards without duplicates. This behavior is one of the most influential factors to data sparsity. The 'cold-start' problem caused by data sparsity prevents recommender system from providing recommendation properly in the personalized credit card recommendation scenario. We propose a personalized credit card recommender system to address the cold-start problem, using multiple user profiles. The proposed system consists of a training process and an application process using five user profiles. In the training process, the five user profiles are transformed to five user networks based on the cosine similarity, and an integrated user network is derived by weighted sum of each user network. The application process selects k-nearest neighbors (users) from the integrated user network derived in the training process, and recommends three of the most frequently used credit card by the k-nearest neighbors. In order to demonstrate the performance of the proposed system, we conducted experiments with real credit card user data and calculated the F1 Values. The F1 value of the proposed system was compared with that of the existing recommendation techniques. The results show that the proposed system provides better recommendation than the existing techniques. This paper not only contributes to solving the cold start problem that may occur in the personalized credit card recommendation scenario, but also is expected for financial companies to improve customer satisfactions and increase corporate profits by providing recommendation properly.

Improvement and Educational Effectiveness of Fashion Consumption Trend Analysis Class Based on IC-PBL (IC-PBL 기반의 패션 소비트렌드 분석 수업 개선 및 교육적 효과)

  • With the development of information and communication technology, interest in new educational approaches that can enhance the learning performance of learners with improved information literacy skills is increasing, and universities are actively promoting educational innovation to foster the talents required by society. In the field of fashion studies education, which is closely related to the fashion industry, there is a strong need to develop field-linked educational programs that reflect the trends in the industry and changes in the educational system. The purpose of this study was to introduce industry-coupled problem-based learning (IC-PBL) to the course "Understanding Fashion Consumption Trends" for non-fashion majors to reflect the current needs and strengthen the educational effectiveness of the learners through a survey. A seven-step curriculum (introduction to the class, practitioner's problem, learner's problem analysis, organizing concepts related to variables, information collection and scenario writing, presentation and scenario proposal, and evaluation) not only enhanced learners' understanding of fashion consumption trends and the fashion industry but also greatly amplified learners' satisfaction with the class. The results of the survey showed that the seven-step curriculum was effective in increasing learners' self-directed learning ability, problem-solving ability, and confidence in learning. Self-directed learning ability was stronger than other factors, consistent with the core principle of problem-based learning to empower learners to take the initiative and promote self-directed learning. Each factor analyzed was positively correlated.

Assessing the Economic Feasibility of a Marine Ranching Project in Tongyoung (통영바다목장화사업의 경제적 타당성평가)

  • A marine ranching project in Tongyoung was established in 1998, lasting 9 years to 2006. Project activities included the deployment of artificial reefs, the release of young fishes like jacopever and rockfish, and input/output control for specific marine ranching areas in Tongyoung. This report focuses on the economic feasibility of the project in hindsight. Analysis concentrates on three aspects; (a) direct economic benefits, such as increasing effects of fisheries income and savings in harvesting costs, (b) indirect benefits, including increasing effects of recreational fishing and saving R&D costs, and (c) costs, including releasing and purchasing costs of artificial reef and juvenile fish, R&D costs, maintenance costs and harvesting costs. Results show that NPV=4.7 billion won, IRR=8.55% and B/C ratio=1.286 under Scenario 1, which considers the saving effects of R&D costs, and NPV=0.9 billion won, IRR=6.03% and B/C ratio=1.11 under Scenario 2, which does not consider the saving effects of R&D costs, based on 5.5% of the social rate of discount. According to sensitivity analysis, the economic feasibility is very sensitive to the recapture rate.

Scenario Analysis of Flood Travel Time using Hydraulic Model in Downstream of Nakdong River (수리학적 모형을 이용한 낙동강 하류구간에서의 홍수도달시간 시나리오 분석)

  • Modification of travel time is necessary in all Nakdong river basin because hydrological conditions of Nakdong river basin were changed after major rivers project. Also calculation of flood travel time at between sections of weirs is necessary. In this study, flood travel time was calculated using hydraulic model and the latest topographical data from Changnyeong-Haman weir to Nakdong river estuary bank. Analysis of discharge and stage conditions were carried out. 84 of the scenarios were organized according to flow rate, discharge type, boundary conditions, and tributary conditions. Flood travel time of initial and peak were calculated with discharge and stage conditions, respectively. The results of this study will be available in practical business work such as flood forecast warning and weir operation on algae removal.

  • The purpose of rhis research is proposing rhe sysrem which does information supporr as for a truck driver, and verifying the validity. First, it investigated by visiting the Transporr Company and interview for the present situation and the opinion on computerization from the operation administrator and truck drivers. Consequently, the problem of computerization could be found out to the present system. Next, the present system was considered. As for present machine system, human's "Choosing a function", srarts processing. Then this system is called "Function-Oriented-System". And three problems were extracted from this sysrem. As a solution of those problems, the Purpose-Oriented-System was proposed. In order to attain user's purpose, Agent that situation is perceived and works a function autonomously assumed that this system was inherent. 3D-Sceanrio-Expression was proposed as the description method of rhe task process. It consists of "Machine and Functional-Item axis", "Time axis", and "Situation-Item axis". And, the task execution process of Function-Oriented-System and Purpose-Oriented-System was compared using 3D-Sceanrio-Expression supposing the scene of truck business. As a resulr, rhe following two things could be found out. (1) The concepr of Purpose-Oriented-System that Agent is inherent is effective as siruarion correspondence machine. (2) A solid scenario can express the interaction rhar cannor be seen, in the relarion of rhe conventional Human and Machine.

  • The successful mass media drama, 'The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince', has received lots of supports from the audience by showing them a vivid life and also enabling them to dream a real fantasy. One among the most powerful strategies that made this drama stay successful is the marketing value of the drama space fully maximized when doing the production. This study, introducing a unique representation of 2-D cell matrix with x-y plots of drama space set along the time stream following the scenario, first proposes a quantitative way of uncovering the hidden relation between drama space and scenario using nonlinear matrix filtering method and, secondly, suggests possible service designs mainly constrained by economical standpoints of the stakeholder in producing the drama. The methodology may invoke a plausible contradiction with art instincts that have hardly been supposed to be affected by financial debate, which, nevertheless, must sometimes be allowed under the circumstance of pursuing optimality in programming and producing the drama that must survive in the world of competitive market of service business.
