In an organization where major business operations are geared by business process management system(BPMS), routine tasks are processed according to the predefined business processes. However, most business operations are subject to some sort of exceptions, and the exceptional situations require update of the existing business process model, or a new business process model has to be defined to handle the exceptions. This paper proposes a system architecture that deploys business process repository as the media for storage and retrieval of the various business process models developed for exception handling. Well defined situation variables and decision variables play the key role for efficient storage and retrieval of the business process models developed for exception handling. The data mining technique C5.0 was used to build the optimum path for the process repository search tree.

Recently, interesting of U-city with ubiquitous computing technologies has increased and u-city services can improve people's quality of life. Among the u-city services, traffice service is actively developed in our lives. In this paper, we propose the business model and business model process in u-car tracking service. To propose the research purpose, we examined the prior business model and investigated u-car tracking information. And also, we draw scenario and used it to identify business model. To efficiently understand proposed business model, we built business model process of u-car tracking service. The results of study, we proposed business model and business model process with stakeholder, benefiter and value model. This study concludes with implications of the study results as well as limitations and future research directions.

There have been many research papers and practical implementations on the various EC(Electronic Commerce) aspects such as merchant system, security, payment gateway, legal and policy issues. However, it is very hard to find the systematic approaches and business process models from the viewpoint of the company willing to start B2C(Business-To-Customer) EC. Therefore, we develop business process models for the planning, systems analysis and design, implementation, and operation of internet shopping mall to suggest a guideline and reference model for the realization of successful B2C EC.

Business process modeling is to represent the business activities in a graphical notation that enterprises use to achieve their customer's requirements. Nowadays, lots of requirements are changed quickly and variously. Therefore, business process models should provide the means which can prepare for changes by analyzing (pointing) elements of business process that are likely to alter. In this paper, we propose a business process family model (BPFM) which represents the commonalities and the variabilities of a set of business processes. In addition, we propose the process which develops the tools for BPFM based on Eclipse Plug-In Graphical Modeling Framework (GMF). The variabilities of Business Process are modeled by using expanded model elements of UML2.0 activity diagram.

Numerous countries promote business programs to revitalize local economy, increase employment, and nurture high-tech industries. Recently, a number of business incubators have been established and operated with aims to adapt to changing environment and increase economic competitiveness in Korea. To give satisfactory results of governmental policy, the requirement to develop the evaluation model to support effective operations of business incubators using the objective and rational criteria is growing. The purpose of this study is to develop evaluation model in Business Incubator using Data Mining Process. We suggested the evaluation model of business incubator, 'Score-5 RS' consists of making evaluation factor process using weighted sum and 5-grade classification and analyzing process by Decision Tree algorithm.

Adoption and practical application of BPM yet remains at a theoretic and methodological level for many industrial sectors. As for construction industry, adapting BPM into enterprise resource across all business processes could cause problems due to rapid change in corporate operation systems. Furthermore, it is unable to predict potential risks of business process while BPM are being applied. Therefore, applying BPM model to core strategy and individual task seems more effective than applying BPM model to the entire enterprise resource planning. In this paper, we define BPM and suggest a BPM model by analyzing each business unit in order to evaluate each business unit which is included in the business process architecture based on quantitative standards. This paper also presents a sequential application plan for business process model. Finally, a case study is demonstrated for the application of BPM system, focusing on cost management business, which turned out to be a top priority in the aspect of efficiency and ease based on priority analysis.

Nowadays, for the competitive power of an enterprise, there are many attempts to implement information system that could support business innovation by business process re-engineering. However, there is no effort to standardize the core business processes of enterprise based on standards of data, documents. These facts make it difficult to introduce and implement enterprise information system designed by business processes of the higher level. Therefore, standardization of business process by analyzing the functionality and relationships among them are important and necessary. The results of our research are summarized as process-driven standardization (standardization of core business processes) and development of a repository. In process-driven standardization, we proposed the reference model by analyzing the business processes of the leading enterprises for core business processes. The reference model focuses on core business processes, such as sales management, procurement management, production management, logistics management, and customer support in manufacturing industry. We developed a knowledge-based system as a repository for a integrated management system of business process. And this repository was built up web-based system for the purpose of both reference and management.

The B2B e-Marketplace connected a number of suppliers and buyers offers the opportunity to form more flexible supply chain and requires to transform the business process of purchasing transactions between suppliers and buyers to new environment. So, firms in e-Marketplace will become increasingly aware of need to improve and extend their existing processes. In order to provide the reference model for these firms, we have developed a standardized model of business process for retail industry that incorporates several important features of purchasing process in e-Marketplace. The paper describes these features and discusses the use of the model in retail industry.

Many of today's businesses need IT system's flexibility for on-demand business which can be rapidly adapted to environment changes. Service oriented architecture (SOA) provides the infrastructure which makes business flexibility possible under the on-demand operating environment. Therefore, to satisfy these requirements, new approach for assuring business flexibility and enhancing reuse is needed. In this paper, we propose an approach for developing a business process family model (BPFM) in which the variabilities in business process family can be explicitly represented by using the variability analysis method of software product line. In addition, we describe the supporting tool for this approach. It can model the BPFM and generate automatically BPMs through decision and pruning process from BPFM. By using our approach, the business and its IT system can correspond to business environment changes rapidly and efficiently.
