  • The objective of this research is to select the most effective technique among task related techniques(motion & time study, job redesign, physical environment improvement) for improving work efficiency in shipbuilding enterprise. This study consists of several principal steps. The first step is to design critical criteria in evaluating work efficiency in ship-building enterprises. The second step is to develop sub-criteria of the critical criteria. The third step is to develop a four level AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) structure using the critical criteria, sub-criteria and techniques among task related techniques. The fourth step is to develop the pairwise comparison matrix at each level of AHP structure, which was based on survey data collected at the H heavy industry. And the last step is to select the most effective technique among task related techniques using AHP analysis. The result of AHP analysis has shown clear difference in priority among task related techniques in terms of work efficiency of the shipbuilding enterprise: The reduction of normal time is more important than the reduction of allowance time in improving of the work efficiency. Motion & time study is the most important technique for the reduction of normal time, and physical environment improvement is the most important technique for the reduction of allowance time as well.

  • In this paper, efficiencies of core technology development projects, conducted by Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, are compared. In the process, DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) is utilized as a main technique for comparing efficiencies. For DEA, input oriented BCC Model is adopted with government grant, recipient expenditure, the number of participating institutions, and project duration as input factors, and the number of patents, the number of papers, and occurred sales as output factors. As a result, next generation mobile communication project turns out to be the most efficient project of all. Therefore, next generation mobile communication project should be benchmarked for the other projects to follow. However, these results should be used only for reference data since every project has a different objective and, of course, is run under a different environment.

  • Data modeling is a process of developing a model to design and develop a data system that supports an organization's various business processes. A conceptual data model represents a technology-independent specification of structure of data to be stored within a database. The model aims to provide richer expressiveness and incorporate a set of semantics to (a) support the design, control, and integrity parts of the data stored in data management structures and (b) coordinate the viewing of connections and ideas on a database. The described structure of the data is often represented in an entity–relationship (ER) model, which was one of the first data-modeling techniques and is likely to continue to be a popular way of characterizing entity classes, attributes, and relationships. This paper attempts to examine the basic ER modeling notions in order to analyze the concepts to which they refer as well as ways to represent them. In such a mission, we apply a new modeling methodology (thinging machine; TM) to ER in terms of its fundamental building constructs, representation entities, relationships, and attributes. The goal of this venture is to further the understanding of data models and enrich their semantics. Three specific contributions to modeling in this context are incorporated: (a) using the TM model's five generic actions to inject processing in the ER structure; (b) relating the single ontological element of TM modeling (i.e., a thing/machine or thimac) to ER entities and relationships; and (c) proposing a high-level integrated, extended ER model that includes structural and time-oriented notions (e.g., events or behavior).

  • With the application of wireless sensor networks in the fields of ecological observation, defense military, architecture and urban management etc., the security problem is becoming more and more serious. Characteristics and constraint conditions of wireless sensor networks such as computing power, storage space and battery have brought huge challenges to protection research. Inspired by the danger theory in biological immune system, this paper proposes an intrusion detection model for wireless sensor networks. The model abstracts expressions of antigens and antibodies in wireless sensor networks, defines meanings and functions of danger signals and danger areas, and expounds the process of intrusion detection based on the danger theory. The model realizes the distributed deployment, and there is no need to arrange an instance at each sensor node. In addition, sensor nodes trigger danger signals according to their own environmental information, and do not need to communicate with other nodes, which saves resources. When danger is perceived, the model acquires the global knowledge through node cooperation, and can perform more accurate real-time intrusion detection. In this paper, the performance of the model is analyzed including complexity and efficiency, and experimental results show that the model has good detection performance and reduces energy consumption.

  • In this study, we proposed a method to be standing customers as the supporting system for the improvement of fashion garment industry which was the marginal growth getting into full maturity of market. As for the customer creation method of Fashion garment company is developing a marketing program to be standing customer as customer scoring to estimate a existing customer‘s buying power, and figure out minimum fixed sales of company to use a future purchasing predict. This study was a result of data from total sixty thousands data to be created for the 11 months from september. 2000 to July. 2001. The data is part of which the company leading the Korean fashion garment industry has a lot of a customer purchasing history data. But this study used only 48,845 refined purchased data to discriminate from sixty thousands data and 21,496 customer case with the exception of overlapping purchased data among of those. The software used to handle sixty thousands data was SAS e-miner. As the analysis process is put in to operation the analysis of the purchasing customer’s profile firstly, and the second come into basket analysis to consider the buying associations for Association goods, the third estimate the customer grade of Customer loyalty by 3 ways of logit regression analysis, decision tree, Artificial Neural Network. The result suggested a method to be estimate the customer loyalty as 3 independent variables, 2 coefficients. The 3 independent variables are total purchasing amount, purchasing items per one purchase, payment amount by one purchasing item. The 2 coefficients are royal and normal for customer segmentation. The result was that this model use a logit regression analysis was valid as the method to be estimate the customer loyalty.
