Nowadays, for the competitive power of an enterprise, there are many attempts to implement information system that could support business innovation by business process re-engineering. However, there is no effort to standardize the core business processes of enterprise based on standards of data, documents. These facts make it difficult to introduce and implement enterprise information system designed by business processes of the higher level. Therefore, standardization of business process by analyzing the functionality and relationships among them are important and necessary. The results of our research are summarized as process-driven standardization (standardization of core business processes) and development of a repository. In process-driven standardization, we proposed the reference model by analyzing the business processes of the leading enterprises for core business processes. The reference model focuses on core business processes, such as sales management, procurement management, production management, logistics management, and customer support in manufacturing industry. We developed a knowledge-based system as a repository for a integrated management system of business process. And this repository was built up web-based system for the purpose of both reference and management.

c-PMS(collaborative project management system) is a business process(BP) based tool to manage collaborative projects which accomplish common business objectives determined by mutual agreement of companies using limited resources and time. This study analyzes collaborative BP, collaborative projects, and their relation, and proposes the architecture and operation scenario of c-PMS consisted of business process asset management(BPAM) sub-system and project manage(PM) sub-system. BPAM sub-system models private and public BP using a client/server based modeler, defines collaborative BPs process from public BPs, and manages them as companies' asset on a web portal. PM sub-system globally manages collaborative project using planning, execution, monitoring, and analyzing functions.

Business Activities usually comprises various types of business processes. However, most companies don't standardize the constituent processes and accumulate them in formal models, so that they have their limitations for efficient process management and continuous process improvement. Recently, in order to overcome the obstacles, the companies increasingly tend to introduce a BPM (Business Process Management) system. The BPM system functions as modeling dispersed processes over the companies definitely, running the processes and improving them. In addition, the BPM plays a role as a platform in which diverse business applications can be developed. Generally, it is prerequisite to define business processes clearly to run them in the BPM. Unfortunately, companies don't arrange the processes systematically, so that they have difficulty in the introduction and implementation of the system. In this paper, we introduce a new type of a business application to support the clarification of business structure and processes in the companies and facilitate the introduction of the BPM system. The new system is a 'job manual system' developed on the BPM platform. A process model modeled in the job manual system can be transported directly to the BPM system in which the model becomes an executable status. The new system's properties including this feature enable to manage business processes efficiently and help users of the both system perform relevant tasks conveniently.

최근 건설기업은 글로벌 기업경쟁 환경과 수주경쟁 속에서 업무 효율성 증대를 위한 프로세스 경영체제에 대한 노력이 요구된다. 건설기업은 1990년 이후 프로세스 중심의 내 외부 업무구조를 개선하기 위하여 다양한 프로세스 경영기법이 도입되었으나, 그 효과는 일부 개선된 기능획득에 머물고 있다. 또한, 업무 프로세스의 효율성 향상을 위해 다양한 업무지윈 시스템들이 개발되었으나, 기능위주의 개별적 구축과 입 출력 정보 및 데이터 흐름에 초점을 둠으로써 업무프로세스 관리와 정보기술의 지원이 분리되는 업무-IT 분리현상(Business-IT divide)이 발생되었다. 본 연구는 업무-IT 분리현상의 개선 방법론으로서 BPM(Business Process Management)을 구현함으로서, 업무 프로세스를 기반으로 한 업무지원 시스템의 연계모델을 제안한다. 이를 통해 건설기업의 지속적인 프로세스 관리를 지원하며, 프로세스 수행시 요구되는 업무조건(참여주체, 업무정보, 업무지원 시스템의 기능)들을 연계함으로서 업무효율성 향상이 기대된다. 이를 위해 업무-IT분리현상으로 인해 건설기업의 업무 수행상 발생되는 문제점을 분석하여 연계모델의 개념과 아키텍처를 구성하였다. 연계모델의 구현을 위해 공정관리 업무의 전체 종 단간 업무프로세스를 분석하여 BPA(Business Process Architecture)를 작성하였으며, 각 업무 프로세스의 업무조건들을 상세분석하여, 건설기업의 주요 13개 업무지원 시스템의 주요기능과 연계하였다. 연계된 내용을 바탕으로 PDCA분석과 CRUD분석을 통해 업무 프로세스 기반 업무지윈 시스템 연계모델을 개발하였다.

This paper proposes a BPM(Business Process Management) system framework for the NPD(New Product Development) of automotive suppliers. Recently many enterprises change their organization from function-oriented to process-oriented through BPR (Business Process Reengineering). Especially, based on quality systems like QS9000, it is required to documented business processes and continuously improve these processes for customer satisfaction. NPD, the most significant function for industrial competition, is reinforced by the best practices business process to satisfy the requirements of quality systems. The main objective of the paper is the development of the information system that supports the best practices process management. For this, first, we define the requirements of BPM system for NPD based on the viewpoint analysis, and then propose a DES (Design Execution System) framework based on dynamic workflow engine. The DES is addressed in the characteristics of a NPD business process, integrated project management, and process execution. A prototype DES system has been developed in the web environment. Its validity is demonstrated by applying it to an automotive supplier.

In an organization where major business operations are geared by business process management system(BPMS), routine tasks are processed according to the predefined business processes. However, most business operations are subject to some sort of exceptions, and the exceptional situations require update of the existing business process model, or a new business process model has to be defined to handle the exceptions. This paper proposes a system architecture that deploys business process repository as the media for storage and retrieval of the various business process models developed for exception handling. Well defined situation variables and decision variables play the key role for efficient storage and retrieval of the business process models developed for exception handling. The data mining technique C5.0 was used to build the optimum path for the process repository search tree.

Successful start-ups are driven by opportunities, teams, and the resources needed to grow the business. Systematic business process management is required to maximize the efficiency of business operations. However, the existing entrepreneurial process research has limitations that it is difficult to intuitively and dynamically provide the necessary information for start-up operation, and it is necessary to define necessary information (resources, stakeholders, activities). In this study, we suggest the "Start-up Process Repository System" which overcomes limitations of existing entrepreneurial process research. The architecture for the Start-up Process Repository System provides five layers and enables each layer to interact four interfaces between each layer. This study improves start-ups' accessibility to the start-up business process repository created from the existing repository architecture and increases the utility derived from it by providing methodologies for components that offer useful start-up knowledge.

R In today's competitive and global business management, Concern of an enterprise is to strengthen the core competency and improve it's internal business process. Therefore, Interest in BPM(Business Process Management) has grown rapidly. BPM is recognized as best solution to meet the needs of organizations that seek the cost down, integration of information, reducing of risk, improvement of productivity. In the past, the company have usually made huge investments in knowledge management systems which are based on repository keeping tacit knowledge. But this paper shows feasibility of implementation of business process-based knowledge management system that could link knowledge with business process. From an academic point of view, Although There could be several ways to build the business process-based KMS. In this paper, when BPM project and KMS project were started at the same time, the way of how to provide workers with task-related knowledge was discussed. As an case study, an estimate process of H company was analyzed and process modelling was carried out and conceptional architecture framework was depicted.

빠르게 변화하는 경영 환경 속에서 기업들은 변화에 대응하며 기업의 지속적인 성장을 위해서 프로세스 경영, ERP 등 기업의 업무 프로세스 혁신기법과 업무를 지원할 수 있는 IT시스템들을 도입하여 왔다. 하지만 통합적 관리 체계의 부재로 업무 프로세스와 IT간의 분리 현상이 발생하여 기업 경영의 효율이 저하되는 문제가 나타났다. 이러한 문제의 해결을 위해 BPM(Business Process Management) 개념이 대두되었고, 많은 기업들이 도입을 시도하고 있는 상황이다. 본 연구는 BPM 도입을 시도하고 있는 국내 건설기업을 대상으로 단위업무에 대한 IT시스템 지원도 평가를 통해서 BPM 도입의 주요 배경이 되는 업무 프로세스와 IT간의 분리현상에 대한 정량적 평가를 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 문헌 고찰과 사례 분석을 통해 평가의 필요성을 제시하고, 평가를 위해 건설기업의 본사업무를 중심으로 단위 업무를 계층화 하였으며, 업무지원 IT시스템을 분석하였다. 이를 토대로 평가 방법을 설계 하고, 평가 결과 분석을 통해서 건설기업의 BPM구현에 있어서의 시사점을 제시하였다.

The objectives of this study is to develop a strategy for the adoption of BPM(Business Process Management) standards and an implementation guideline of the BPM standard for BPM solution developers focusing on BPEL(Business Process Execution Language) which is regarded as the most important BPM standard. In the heterogeneous and distributed IT environments, every type of enterprise software requires standards to enhance interoperability. BPMS(Business Process Management System), which is a type of enterprise software requires BPM standards such as BPEL(Business Process Execution Language), BPMN(Business Process Modeling and Notation), BPQL(Business Process Query Language) and so on to achieve multi-system interoperability and component interoperability with their BPM solutions. It is quite helpful to provide the adoption strategy concerning BPM standards for each type of BPM solution vendors who need the BPM standards. Since the BPEL is conceived as the most important BPM standard and widely adopted by many BPM vendors, we have proposed a reference architecture for BPEL implementation and also developed the detail implementation guideline of core components of the BPM system supporting the BPEL standard. Using the strategy and implementation guideline proposed in this work, BPM solution vendors can establish their own standard adoption strategy and they can also develop their BPM solutions supporting the BPM standards more efficiently.
