System Modeling for Web Service based on Service-Oriented Architecture (서비스 지향 아키텍처를 기반으로 한 웹서비스 시스템 모델링)

  • Service-Oriented Architecture(SOA) is improving rapidly in IT Environment. Enterprise companies interest in implementation infrastructure based on SOA to adapt quick changes of large and complex distributed environment. SOA is a component model that inter-relates the different functional units of an application, called services, through interfaces and contacts between theses services. In this paper, we studied the concept of the relationship between SOA and standard web service core and therefore, we model the web service based on SOA. We implemented the application and business service architecture using web service that include the XML and SOAP. We confirmed that how the each SOA characters like interoperability, reusability, scalability and flexible business process adapted to web service and present a web service modeling that is maintained the neutrality using loose service coupling through the method of service model process and web service architecture designing methodology based on SOA.

The Effects of Knowledge Complementarities and Trust on IT Outsourcing Effectiveness (지식 상호보완성과 신뢰가 IT 아웃소싱 효과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • Increasingly the information technology (IT) outsourcing phenomenon has been a subject of much academic research. Scholars have argued that knowledge complementarities playa crucial role in forming successful IT outsourcing relationships. However, notwithstanding the fast growth of IT outsourcing, prior studies on IT outsourcing have not included knowledge complementarities in their research design as a determining factor for IT outsourcing effectiveness. Further, the understanding of knowledge complementarities itself remains ambiguous. In this study, the concept of knowledge complementarities is explored in the IT outsourcing context at the firm level. Specifically, it addresses the following questions: what is knowledge complementarities? How does it affect IT outsourcing effectiveness? Is the relationship between knowledge complementarities and IT outsourcing effectiveness influenced by organizational trust between the client and the vendor? Grounded in the relevant theories to knowledge management and IT outsourcing, we develop a research model in which both the main effects of knowledge complementarities and organizational trust and the moderating effect of organizational trust on the relationships between knowledge complementarities and IT outsourcing effectiveness are tested. Within this research model, we develop a second order construct of knowledge complementarities, consisting of complementary business knowledge and complementary IT knowledge as the first order constructs. We have used data from a field study of 103 firms in Korea to test the proposed model. Controlling the effects of conflict resolution efforts, our empirical analysis found significant main effects of knowledge complementarities and organizational trust on IT outsourcing effectiveness. The results suggest that knowledge complementarities between the client and vendor positively contribute to IT outsourcing effectiveness. Specifically, the client needs to have enough IT knowledge to assess the quality of IT outsourcing services provided by the vendor. Meanwhile, the vendor should understand the client's business well enough to provide IT services, Contrary to our expectations, the moderating effect of trust on the relationship between knowledge complementarities and IT outsourcing effectiveness was not supported in this study. The results also show that organizational trust between client and vendor significantly influences IT outsourcing effectiveness. As for contributions of this study, we have not only clarified the concept of knowledge complementarities, but also developed an instrument to measure the concept and empirically validated it. Further, we have tested the idea that knowledge complementarities and trust directly influence IT outsourcing effectiveness and trust moderates the relationship between knowledge complementarities and IT outsourcing effectiveness. Out results prescribe the knowledge complementarities of client and vendor as a useful path to IT outsourcing effectiveness. These findings have important theoretical and practical implications, which are discussed in the paper.

A Study on Criteria for Classifying Fashion Brands from the Viewpoint of Consumer (소비자관점의 패션브랜드 분류 기준에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out criteria for classifying fashion brand from the consumer point of view. This was compared with the viewpoint of fashion business practice in order to develop strategy of fashion brands and to manage brand effectively and systematically, and to suggest theoretical frame for application of these criteria. This study was researched as the succeeding study of a model of criteria for classifying fashion brands from the viewpoint of fashion business practice. Survey was used as a research method. The subjects were 422 women who were 20-30 years old and living in and near Seoul. Questionnaires were developed based on 37 fashion brands' classification criteria by means of pre-survey, and SPSS package and LISREL program were used to analyze the data. As a result of factor analysis considering 37 classification criteria, 8 factors were identified as classification criteria. They were as follows; the level of brand form, the level of product concept, the level of management item, the level of brand sales ability, the level of customer management, the level of brand advertising and awareness, the level of brand value, and the level of product lead ability. All of criteria were correlated to each other. The effective method to classify fashion brands was proposed by establishing the model of the relationship of the values of 7 criteria and by proving it with the structure equation model analysis. The model of criteria for classifying fashion brands that was suggested on this study was proved by the structure equation model analysis. In this study, from a consumer's point of view we suggested a theoretical framework describing which criteria would be selected to classify and utilize fashion brand market. This model can be used to select the most efficient classification criteria and classify them hierarchically instead of selecting only one among some factors that complex and interactional and classifying.

  • With the wide acceptance of the Internet and the Web, volumes of information and related users have increased and companies have become to need security mechanisms to effectively protect important information for business activities and security problems have become increasingly difficult. This paper proposes a improved access control model for access control enforcement in enterprise environments through the integration of the temporal constraint character of the GT-RBAC model and sub-role hierarchies concept. The proposed model, called Extended GT-RBAC(Extended Generalized Temporal Role Based Access Control) Model, supports characteristics of GTRBAC model such as of temporal constraint, various time-constrained cardinality, control now dependency and separation of duty constraints(SoDs). Also it supports unconditional inheritance based on the degree of inheritance and business characteristics by using sub-roles hierarchies in order to allow expressing access control policies at a finer granularity in corporate enterprise environments.

  • This study is to understand the concept of CALS and EC which is based on the recent information technology and internet, and to introduce a business situation of Korean model of electronic commerce and WEB-EDI and suggest its development direction for the future. In that, with the development of the telecommunication technology and the proliferation of Internet, electronic commerce and WEB-EDI is expected to be escalated rapidly, the general examples in this study are thought to be greatly helpful to its development. In addition, the information including global trend of electronic commerce and domestic situation of EDI-VAN is provided on the practical basis with figures. The strategy for developing the domestic CALS/EC is suggested as guideline which leads to actively perform the business in these area triggered by government and private entities.

  • As the developing of the information technology, M2M market that is using communication between devices is growing rapidly and many companies are involved in M2M business. In this paper, the concept of telematics and vulnerabilities of vehicle network security are discussed. The convergence of vehicle and information technology, the development of mobile communication technology have improved quality of service that provided to user but as a result security threats has diverse. We proposed new business model that be occurred to the participation of mobile carriers in telematics business and we analyzed mobile radio communication network security vulnerabilities. We proposed smart phone and Vehicle authentication scheme with M2M device as a way to solve vulnerabilities.

  • 현 정부의 주요 정책 중 하나가 일자리 창출이며 소상공인을 포함한 중소기업의 창업을 통한 일자리 창출의 효과는 이미 여러 연구와 기사를 통해 소개된바 있다. 소상공인과 중소기업의 창업을 활성화하기 위해 정부 지원책이 지속적으로 이어 지고 있으나 창업과 환경개선 등을 위한 직접적인 정책자금의 지원은 의존 성향을 심화시킬 수 있고 자생하려는 의지가 약화될 수 있기에 정부에서는 이를 방지하기 위해 자금지원과 컨설팅을 병행하는 정책을 추진하고 있으며, 소상공인과 중소기업의 경쟁력을 높이는 방안으로서 규모의 경제효과를 얻을 수 있는 조직화. 협업화의 중요성에 대해 주목하게 되었다. 그러나 지금까지의 소상공인과 중소기업의 조직화, 협업화에 대한 선행 연구들과 정부 정책은 주로 음식업과 소매업종을 중심으로 성공적인 조직화. 협업화 모델을 연구하여 제시하는 수준에 머무르고 있다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 업종과 업태를 대상으로 소상공인과 중소기업의 조직화. 협업화 확대 적용 방안과 확산 및 기능 활성화 모델을 탐색적 연구를 통하여 도출해 보고자 한다.

An Object-Oriented Process Modeling for the Development of the Integrated Logistics Support (민간부문에서의 ILS 개발에 관한 연구 - 객체지향 물류 프로세스 모델링의 응용을 중심으로)

  • This study reviews the concept of Integrated Logistic Support(ILS), ILS standards, ILS elements, and the processes of developing ILS elements and Logistics Support Analysis(LSA). It also examines the potentials of applying ILS development process to building CALS systems in commercial sectors in order to accomplish business process innovation and achieve life-cycle cost savings in product and equipment management. In order to utilize the ILS approach for commercial industries, we need customizing the process of Logistics Support Analysis defined in MIL-STD-1388-lA. The success of ILS implementation depends on the determination of the range of ILS elements in relation with the application environment, and the appropriate development of those elements. During the development process, in order to analyze and design logistics flow processes and supporting activities, we suggest the object-oriented logistics process modeling approach with basic concepts and constructs embedded in objects. Several diagrams including Class Diagram, Class-Instance Diagram, and Integrated Instance Diagram, are provided. Simple Steps to follow are suggested for the analysis and design of inter-organizational logistics flow and support processes. The outcomes of the study are expected to contribute to stimulating the utilization of ILS concepts and development process during building commercial CALS systems.

  • Product-service system (PSS) is a novel type of business model integrating products and services in a single system. It provides a strategic alternative to product-oriented economic growth and price-based competition in the global market. This paper first reviews the current status of PSS, including its concept, characteristics, benefits, and cases. This paper then reviews the existing literature and identifies major research issues for three main phases of a PSS development lifecycle, namely, PSS design, PSS evaluation, and PSS operation. This research is expected to contribute to promoting awareness and improving understanding of PSS in our society and planning of future research in this field.

Economic Effects of FTA Cumulation based on Value-Added Exports of Vietnam Textile Industry (FTA 원산지 누적의 경제적 효과: 베트남 섬유산업 부가가치수출을 중심으로)

  • In the context of export-oriented growth strategy, Korea has promoted the conclusion of FTAs and 16 FTAs have entered into force or concluded so far. Despite of these efforts, the expansion of the global value chain (GVC) has resulted in fragmentation of production processes and international companies have been struggling to meet the criteria for determining the rule of origin. In order to overcome these difficulties, some foreign FTAs have been introducing cross-cumulation of origin. In this paper, we try to examine empirically whether the easing of the rules of origin using cross-cumulation contributes to the increase in actual value-added exports. we quantify the effects of cross-cumulation included in the EU-Vietnam FTA on Korean exports of the textile through a gravity model using the concept of value-added export. Based on the analysis results, the proportion of value-added exports in Vietnam increased by adoption of cross-cumulation of origin, which consequently resulted into an increase in total exports. This paper tries to draw several implications for the rules of origin in Korea's FTAs including cross-cumulation considering the export value chain of Korea.
