  • Recently, popular entertainers have contributed significantly to the achievement of TV program and exportation, which make them attract more attention. Therefore, this study investigates the relationship perception of broadcasting entertainers in inductive interview study. Thoughts of entertainers can affect theirs' behavior and attitude as well as value and thought, which makes it necessary on celebrity studies to examine entertainers' ideas. This study divides into drama and variety show for genres and cast portions are classified into three categories; leading, supporting, and minor role. We conducted an interview study on 48 entertainers in drama and variety entertainment programs and have explored data by using Nvivo 11 program. Entertainers' perception on their relationship in program can be sub-categorized into ideas on PDs, script writers, and colleague entertainers. Perception on PD revealed significant difference on consciousness on PDs' and script writers' authority, treatment, and communication. In addition, perception on colleague entertainers revealed significant result on colleague membership, relationship between seniors and newcomers, competition, and communication with colleagues. Because this study covered all relationship perceptions, and it is possible to come up with new practical implications, it is difficult to suggest diverse guidance for the harmonious awareness of entertainers. Therefore, future studies should be analyzed to address these limitations and provide more implications.

  • With the development of blockchain technology, play-to-earn (P2E) games, one of the decentralized applications (dApps), are receiving great social attention. P2E games are positively evaluated as areas with high growth potential based on blockchain technology, and at the same time, they are negatively evaluated as speculative as people can cash P2E game items in the form of cryptocurrency. In this situation, the purpose of this study is to investigate factors affecting the intention to use P2E games. Along with the discussion of hedonic system adoption, we consider the factors with perceived enjoyment, economic incentive, and social influence. In order to verify our research model, data were collected from 350 adults with P2E game experience or recognition, and a structural equation model was carried out. The analysis results find that perceived enjoyment and subjective norm have a significant positive effect on the intention to use P2E games, and economic incentive does not have a significant effect. In addition, peer influence and external influence have a significant positive effect on subjective norm. Drawing on these findings, we present several academic and practical implications for future research.

  • This study examined the social capital and geographical gaps of local television stations using web data gathered through website crawling. URLs for 16 local MBC websites were collected. MBC is an abbreviation for Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation, one of South Korea's largest television and radio broadcasters. Munhwa is a Sino-Korean term that means "culture." It initially determined which institutions local broadcasting stations were linked to using a Web Impact Report. To investigate the specific connection type, URL information was classified using the n-tuple helix model, followed by 2-mode network analysis. The n-tuple helix model is an analysis method that extends the standard university-business-government triple-helix model by including a new network innovation originator. As a result, local broadcasting stations relied heavily on activities like as festivals, performances, and exhibitions to engage the local community. Local stations in Daegu-Gyeongbuk area and the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam area were identified as having the most diverse connections to the local population among other regions.

  • The purpose of this study is to present an approach to the "Digital Health Passport" (DHP), which will be the most important in the change of the travel industry among the sudden environmental changes brought about by COVID-19. To this end, this study reviewed a variety of empirical literature on DHP, and proposed a framework for DHP based on literature review. The framework is composed of travel intention, health information provision intention, and new technology acceptance/adoption of tourists. First, in terms of travel intention, providing information to DHP should not undermine the travel intention of the travelers. It should be possible to facilitate the travelers' enjoyment by using the information provided by the traveler. In addition, there is a need to assure that the data provided by travelers is managed in a reliable way. Second, it is necessary to understand why the travelers want to provide additional personal information (information disclosure), rather than seeing healthcare information only in terms of mandatory information provision. Finally, from the perspective of new technology, it is necessary to understand the intention of travelers to use/adopt DHP. The key implication of this work is that it proposed a DHP framework for realizing the travel bubble to predict and respond to foreign travelers' behaviors.

  • This study used data from the 6rd and 12th year of the Korean Welfare Panel to evaluate the effects of the Personal Assistance Service(PAS) system on the labor market of PAS users' participation. For the purpose of this study, 64 program groups using the Korean PAS and 344 control groups not using the Korean PAS were selected using Caliper matching among the propensity score matching. A chi-square test was used for the difference in characteristics between groups, and a simple difference-in-differences (DID) model and a double-difference multiple regression analysis of DID were performed to estimate the effect of thepolicy before and after the Korean PAS. As a result of the study, it was found that statistically, PAS had no significant effect on the labor market. This is due to the low number of system users, resulting in low post-hoc power, incomplete matching and limited availability of PAS Assistants for Disabled People. Therefore, In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Personal Assistance Service(PAS) system, specialized services and systems that meet the needs of the disabled and household members should be implemented.

  • To establish an effective performance appraisal system, ratee accountability is essential because it increases the likelihood of meaningful utilization of performance appraisal feedback. In the context of a multi-rater performance appraisal system, this study examines the effect of the ratee general accountability and accountability to the supervisor and peers on the ratee's intention to change behavior based on the performance appraisal feedback. This study further explored the moderating effect of perceived feedback specificity on the relationship between the ratee accountability and behavioral change intention. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis was conducted using the survey data from 153 employees in eight firms with multi-rater performance appraisal systems. The results showed that ratee general accountability was positively associated with the intention to change behavior. Furthermore, perceived feedback specificity attenuated the positive relationship between the ratee general accountability and behavioral change intention, which was the opposite of the hypothesized direction. The findings indicate the importance of managing and facilitating ratee accountability for implementing a multi-rater performance appraisal system. The result also emphasizes the critical role that performance appraisal feedback plays in motivating performance improvement by providing flexible, constructive advice and behavioral change strategies instead of inducing self-defense or justification.
