  • Autonomous business card exchange system using ZigBee with low power and short range was configured In the autonomous business card exchange system characterized as full mesh network in which every node exchanges each information one by one, it is necessary to reduce the time taken for information to be exchanged. In this paper, the novel method where the node ID is exchanged based on CSMA/CA and then the information of each node is broadcast to other nodes according to the ID list based on FIFO. The time required for exchanging information using the proposed method was analyzed and compared with the direct exchange method based on CSMA/CA. The results show that it takes less time in the proposed method than the direct exchange time.

  • The credit card system has been introduced as a new sales method in the marketing field in Daegu city since 1978. In order to increase its efficiency of distribution channel. we should like to find the better ways in the credit card system. For this study, we choice randomly 420 persons credit card holders of a department store in Daegu city. Since the credit card holders purchase products and obtain the utility and satisfactions. salesmen should establish the improvement strategis to meet needs and desires of credit card holders. we conclude that the establishment of the management systems should be based on the management concepts of modern marketing for consumer profit. Than the advantages of credit card sale should not only be recognized but also to translated into material gains by its successful utilization. When credit card sale would come to this, I believe that credit card sale will be helpful for business men activity and consumer's life.

The Development of Two-sidedness in Mature Two-sided Markets: Focused on Korean Credit Card Industry (성숙한 양면시장에서의 양면구조 발전에 대한 고찰 : 국내 신용카드 시장을 중심으로)

  • This study discusses some features observed in Korean credit card industry, which is classified as a two-sided market. First, I summarize six characteristics or conditions that two-sided markets possess by reviewing related literatures, and consider if we can find out those peculiarities in Korean card industry. Second, this study casts light upon the unique issues which have not been handled in previous studies, that is another two-sidedness in mature two-sided markets. In the context of credit card industry, this additional two-sidedness is created by specific consumers group existing in entire consumer group in a card firm as a form of subset and specific partnering merchants group offering special benefits to their subset consumer group, or alliance card holders. This concept gives new idea that there could be multiple two-sidedness especially in mature two-sided markets, which will be significant to platforms' pricing strategies and expand the scope of related studies.

  • This study is to analyze korea credit card market and the China credit card market, and predict future economic activity by developing the Algorithm for future economic trend Estimation As a results, there is no significant correlation between personal income growth and the credit card usage amount, and significant correlation between the credit card per capita and the credit card usage amount, in korea. there is significant correlation between personal income growth and the credit card usage amount, and between the credit card per capita and the credit card usage amount in china. it could be predicted that the china credit card market would be increased and the rate of increase would be gradually increased over the next five years, under the condition without constraints in the external environment.

  • The aim of this research is to design and analyze a social network service model using mobile RFID based business card. This paper suggests how the behavior of exchanging business cards will be changed in ubiquitous environment and designs a social networking service model using a ubiquitous business card, which embeds a RFID tag. We describe the scenarios and analyze a role, value and potential benefits of participants of the u-SNS service model. For the proof of the superiority and the feasibility of our model, we compare it with its related researches and products based on the calculation of the benefits and costs of the alternatives.

Logistic Regression for Investigating Credit Card Default

  • The increasing late-payment rate of credit card customers caused by a recent economic downturn are incurring not only reduced profit of department stores but also significant loss. Under this pressure, the objective of credit forecasting is extended from presumption of good or bad customers to contribution to revenue growth. As a method of managing defaults of department store credit card, this study classifies credit delinquents into some clusters, analyzes repaying patterns of customers in each cluster, and develops credit forecasting system to manage delinquents of department store credit card using data of Korean D department store's delinquents. The model presented by this study uses Kohonen network, a kind of artificial neural network of data mining techniques to cluster credit delinquents into groups. Logistic regression model is also used to predict repayment rate of customers of each cluster per period. The accuracy of presented system for the whole clusters is 92.3%.

Ethical Behavior in the Context of Green Credit Card Services: The Role of Individuals' Regulatory Focus

  • Green credit card is the card service to revitalize the eco-friendly life of the people, offering a variety of benefits to card users for supporting environment. The present research aims to examine the effect of individuals' regulatory focus (promotion focus vs. prevention focus) on their ethical behavior in the context of green credit/debit card services. This research examines whether green credit/debit card users behave ethically according to their regulatory focus. The results indicate that green credit/debit card users with a prevention focus are more likely to behave ethically compared to those with a promotion focus. The findings imply that regulatory focus may be an effective marketing and segmentation tool in facilitating individuals' ethical behavior.

  • Purpose: To find out the appropriate probability distribution of credit card usage behavior by considering the relationship among income, expenditure and credit card usage amount. Such relationship is enabled by Korea's especially high penetration of credit card. Method: Goodness-of-fit test and effect size statistic W were used to identify the distribution of income and credit card usage amount. A simulation model is introduced to generate the credit card transactions on individual user level. Result: The three data sets for testing had either passed the chi-square test or showed low W values, meaning they follow the exponential distribution. And the exponential distribution turned out to fit the data sets well. The r values were very high. Conclusion: The credit card usage behavior, denoted as the counts of users by usage amount band, follows the exponential distribution. This distribution is easy to manipulate, has a variety of applications and generates important business implications.

  • This paper proposes a new infrastructure that supports divisible card payment where a combination of multiple credit cards can be used for a single purchase. The divisible card payment infrastructure modifies the existing payment system in two ways. First, the V-Card Manager(VCM) is added to the merchant side to handle the divisible card approval process from respective credit-card issuers. Second, the V-Card Agent(VA) is added to the customer side and generates a customized divisible card, called V-Card, based on the customer's preferences. This paper provides a customizing card payment method that supports divisible payments based on profits and preferences of customers.

Skew Correction of Business Card Images for PDA Application (PDA에서의 명함 영상의 기울기 보정)

  • We present an efficient algorithm for skew correction of business card images obtained by a PDA camera. The proposed method is composed of four parts: block adaptive binarization (BAB), stripe generation, skew angle calculation, and image rotation. In the BAB, an input image is binarized block by block so as to lessen the effects of irregular illumination and shadows over the input image. In the stripe generation, character string clusters are generated merging character strings and their inter-spaces, and then only clusters useful for skew angle calculation are output as stripes. In the skew angle calculation, the direction angles of the stripes are calculated using their central moments and then the skew angle of the input image is determined averaging the direction angles. In the image rotation, the input image is rotated by the skew angle. Experimental results shows that the proposed method yields correction rates of 97% for business card images.
