사업용 차량(버스)의 위험운전 임계값 개발 (Development of a Critical Value According to Commercial use Vehicle(BUS))

  • 2007년 경찰청 통계자료에 따르면 사업용 차량(시내, 시외, 기타버스)의 교통사고 건수는 당 해 교통사고 건수의 3.5%에 해당하지만 사업용 차량의 경우 운전자 외 다수 승객의 안전을 책임져야 하므로 더욱 심각한 사회적, 경제적 문제를 초래한다. 이러한 사업용 차량의 교통사고 감소 및 안전운전에 대한 사회적 요구에 부흥하기 위하여 디지털 주행기록계, 차량용 블랙박스 등 다양한 형태의 시스템이 사용되고 있으나, 이러한 시스템은 사고 후 차량데이터를 기반으로 위험운전여부를 분석하여 운전자를 관리하기 때문에 실시간으로 운전자를 관리하기에는 큰 한계가 있다. 또한 현재 운영되고 있는 주행기록계는 운전자에게 경고 정보를 제공하지만 실제 위험운전 여부와 상관없이 차량의 속도와 RPM정보만을 이용하여 운전자에게 경고를 제공하고 있어 효율이 매우 떨어지는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구의 선행연구에서는 차량 운전자의 운전행태에 따른 차량 동역학 데이터를 저장?판단하여 운전자에게 실시간으로 경고정보를 제공해 줄 수 있는 위험운전 판단장치를 개발하였으며, 개발된 위험운전 판단장치에서 운전자의 안전운전을 향상 시킬 수 있는 위험운전 유형에 따른 임계값을 개발하였다.

대구지역 디젤하이브리드 버스의 실도로 주행 성능 분석 (On-Road Driving Performance Analysis of Diesel-Hybrid Bus in Daegu Metropolitan Area)

  • In this study we analyzed the on-road driving performance of two parallel-type diesel-hybrid buses which have been driven in Daegu metropolitan area. A real-time on-board data logger was facilitated to measure the vehicle information such as vehicle speed, idle stop, state of charge of battery, and engine operating conditions. These diesel-hybrid buses ran as a commuter at Daegu Exco area and Dalsung industrial complex. The driving pattern in Exco area comprised more frequent idle stop and relatively lower speed than at Dalsung area, where comprised no idle stop. Due to those different driving patterns, the fuel economy at Dalsung showed $3.7\;km/{\ell}$, which is about 8% higher than that of Exco. The main causes of this come from the higher portion of regenerative braking and higher speed which moves to the operating points of diesel engine with a lower fuel consumption.

근전도 생리 분석을 이용한 상용차용 전자페달의 평가 (Evaluation of Electronic Pedal in Commercial Vehicles using Physiology Analysis of Electromyography)

  • In this paper, we assessed muscular activities of lower limbs and foot pressure for car and bus drivers according to operating three electronic pedals that we developed. To analyze drivers' physical exhaustion, muscular fatigue of lower limbs was evaluated. Eleven car drivers and six urban bus drivers were participated in this experiment. The virtual driving system was used for the real driving environment. The virtual driving system was comprised of a spring seat, a steering wheel, pedals (clutch, excel and brake pedals), a manual transmission and a virtual driving simulation. For the real vibration like situation on the road, six degree of freedom motion base system was used. Measured muscles were rectus femoris (RF), biceps femoris (BF), tibialis anterior (TA) and gastrocnemius (Gn) muscles. For the quantitative muscular activities, integrated electromyography (IEMG) was analyzed. Muscular fatigues also were analyzed through the analysis of the median frequency. In addition, foot pressures were analyzed and compared through the peak and averaged pressure during the operating three developed electronic pedals. The experiments are conducted with total 17 drivers, 11 general public and 6 drivers. As a result of the analysis, electromyogram and fatigue analysis through intermediate frequency reduction for pedal-1 more efficient than other pedals. And foot pressure also was decreased. Consequently, we suggested the most efficient pedal and method to minimize the amount of cumulative fatigue.

버스 교통사고 감소를 위한 대중교통 HUD 기술 개발과 성과 (Development and Achievement of Head-Up Display in Public Transit for Reducing Accidents)

  • 우리나라의 교통혼잡비용은 매년 급격히 증가하고 있으며, 이를 해결하기 위한 방안으로 정부는 대중교통 이용활성화 를 적극 장려하고 있는 실정이다. 대중교통은 혼잡비용 절감에 중요한 사회적 역할을 담당하고 있으나, 많은 승객을 수송하는 수단이므로 교통사고 발생시 그 심각도가 매우 높다. 이러한 대중교통의 사고 주 원인으로는 버스운전자의 업무부담 과중으로 인한 전방 및 측방 주시태만이 대표적이다. 이러한 사고요인을 제거하기 위해 대중교통 HUD를 개발하였다. 버스에 활용이 가능하도록 수직면에 가까운 자동차 윈드실드에 정보표출이 가능한 광학 및 광원 기술을 개발하였으며, 버스 운전자가 필요로 하는 표출 콘텐츠를 선정하였다. 또한 뇌파분석 등을 통해 표출정보의 시인성 향상을 위한 색상을 도출하였다. 본 연구를 통해 개발된 대중교통 HUD는 버스 등 대중교통의 운전자 업무부담을 감소시키고, 전방으로 시야를 집중시킴으로써 교통사고 감소에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

식습관 및 운동 목표 달성의 촉진요인과 방해요인: 시내버스 운전자와 상담 영양사의 포커스그룹 인터뷰 (Facilitators and barriers to achieving dietary and physical activity goals: focus group interviews with city bus drivers and counseling dietitians)

  • Objectives: Our previously published study showed that a workplace nutrition intervention program with personalized goal setting and smartphone-based nutrition counseling improved dietary habits and physical activity in city bus drivers who were overweight/obese. This study explored the facilitators and barriers that participants faced in achieving their dietary and physical activity goals six months after the intervention. Methods: The study included bus drivers and dietitians who participated in the intervention program. Three focus group interviews were conducted with 10 bus drivers (divided by two groups based on their achievement of set goals) and five dietitians who had provided nutrition counseling. Results: Willpower was the most important intrapersonal facilitator for drivers to achieve their goals. Other factors that promoted behavioral changes were nutrition counseling by dietitians, trackable physical activity using smartwatches, and setting of practical and achievable goals. Meanwhile, the most important barriers identified were occupational factors such as long driving hours, short breaks, and shift work. Other barriers were environmental factors such as availability of snackable food, accessibility to convenience stores, and cold weather. Family and colleagues were perceived as both facilitators and barriers. In addition, dietitians identified a lack of knowledge about healthy diet as one of the barriers. Conclusions: Our results suggested that the workplace environment should be improved and that nutrition intervention programs at the workplace could encourage bus drivers to practice healthy eating habits. The facilitators and barriers identified in this study should be considered when planning a nutrition intervention program for bus drivers.

Levenberg-Marquardt알고리즘을 이용한 시내버스 지연요소 추정 (Estimation of City Bus Delay Element using Levenberg-Marquardt)

  • 최근 국내 외에서 버스운행의 효율화 및 D2D(: Door to Door)서비스, 대중교통의 자율주행을 위해 교통데이터를 분석하여 다양한 분석결과를 도출해내고 있다. 하지만 대중교통, 특히 버스 지연시간의 예측을 위해 다양한 연구가 수행되고 있으나 단순분석, 데이터 취득의 한계로 현재까지의 연구는 미흡한 상태이다. 본 연구에서는 버스의 운행정보를 기반으로 요일, 날씨, 시간대 등의 데이터를 추가적으로 수집 가공하여 지연시간 추정을 수행하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법은 향후 변수를 추가하여 정확도를 향상시킴으로써 자율주행 대중교통 및 대중교통 관제시스템에 활용이 가능하다.

변속 지시기를 이용한 시내버스 연비 개선 (Improvement of Fuel Economy of a City Bus using Shift Indicator)

  • The gear shifting timing of a manual transmission vehicle is influencing fuel economy. This paper focuses on an gear shifting indicator of an city bus with manual transmission, which can improve fuel economy. The shift indicator is supposed to collect the vehicle data during driving, calculate and compare fuel economy with and without gear shifting, and indicate the proper gear shifting timing. The H/W and S/W of the shift indicator are developed and tested on city bus in this research. The experiments are carried out on real road by 3 different drivers and the results show the improvement of fuel economy from 6.0% to 21.4%. The average engine torque and speed are reduced due to early gear shifting and the usage of highest gear is increased. The results of chassis test are also performed and show 7.5% improvement of fuel economy.

시뮬레이션 기반 연료전지/2차전지 하이브리드 미니버스의 설계 및 성능 평가 (Design and Performance Evaluation for a Fuel Cell/Battery Hybrid Mini-Bus Based on a Simulation)

  • In terms of the vehicle efficiency, a fuel cell hybrid system has advantages compared to a conventional internal combustion engine and a fuel cell alone-powered system. The efficiency of the fuel cell hybrid vehicle mainly depends on the maximum power of the fuel cell and therefore it is important to decide the design value of the fuel cell maximum power. In this paper, to estimate the performance of the fuel cell hybrid mini-bus in the design phase the simulator based on the models for the fuel cell stack, the electric battery, the fuel cell balance of plant, the controller, and the vehicle itself is proposed. Additionally, the hybrid mini-bus efficiencies with several different fuel cell powers are simulated for a city driving schedule and are compared on another. Consequently, the proposed simulation scheme is useful to determine the best design value of the fuel cell hybrid vehicles.
