절삭 반경에 따른 U-type 유로 형상의 버 제거율에 관한 연구 (The Study on Burr Removal Rate Along the Cutting Radial Distance in U-type Flow Channel)

  • As increasing demand for precise machining in advanced disciplines, especially in semi-conductor, aeronautical and automotive industries, the magnetic abrasive deburring(MAD) which is able to eliminate micro-sized burr on complex surface in less time has drawn the attention in the last decades. However, the performance of MAD is subject to shape and size of a tool. Therefore, this study aim to identify deburring behavior of MAD in U-type flow channel by measuring the length rate of burr removal in radial distance of the cylindrical tool under four process factors. In order to evaluate the deburring effect of MAD on the surface, finishing regions are divided based on center of the circular cutting tool. As a results, it was defined that the amount of burr removal in a downward direction moving toward flow channel from the top surface was higher than upward direction. This is because the magnetic abrasives were detached from magnetic lines of force due to geometrical shape.

  • Recently, the advanced industries using micro parts are rapidly growing. The appearance of ultra-precision feed mechanism and the development of control system make it possible to process parts in sub millimeter scale by mechanical methods. Micro endmilling is one of the prominent technology that has wide spectrum of application field ranging from macro parts to micro products. So, micro stairs have been trying to cut by using high revolution air turbine spindle and micro-endmill, and studying for magnitude of cutting force. This investigation deals removal characteristics of burr generated by micro endmilling process. Also, decreasing of burr is significant problem in making smooth and precise parts in micro endmilling. In micro endmilling, the material removal rate(MRR) and cutting forces are very small. This paper presents an investigation on the machining characteristics for micro stairs by using ultrahigh-speed air turbine spindle in machining.

새로운 디버링 공구를 이용한 드릴링 버의 효율적 제거를 위한 가공조건 선정 (Determination of Cutting Conditions for an Efficient Deburring Process Using a New Deburring Tool)

  • For efficient deburring of burrs that form inside mechanical parts after drilling, new special deburring tool was developed specifically for the burr found at intersecting holes. In this paper, the process for finding ideal cutting conditions has been carried out to identify the efficient performance of deburring using a new tool. The burrs at the entrance and exit surface were analyzed for efficient removal. The surface roughness after deburring was also reviewed for better performance. In addition, the influence of the feed rate on deburring quality was analyzed for improved productivity. Through this process, a new deburring tool can be applied effectively to remove burrs formed at intersecting holes.

  • This paper aims at reviewing the possibility application over normal or abnormal, detection used by AE and the wear characteristics of grinding process. In this study, when diamond bur in dentistry with chosen grinding conditions were tuned at grinding. The variation of grinding resistance and AE signal is detected by the use of AE measuring system. The tests are carried out in accordance with diamond burs and workpiece: arcyl and bovine. According to the experiment results, the following can be expected: AE has the possibility to detect the state normality and abnormality. Hpwever, the grinding resistance measuring can find it difficult to detect it. It can be accurately excepted from AE occurrence pattern in contact start point of diamond bur and bovine, grinding condition and derailment point. It is known that AErms is well compatible with grinding resistance. According to the increase of the material removal rate, the specific energy of the diamond bur is inclined to dectease and the grinding resistance has a tendency to increase.

미세 패턴의 디버링을 위한 전해-자기연마 복합가공의 적용과 공정 최적화에 관한 연구 (Application and Parameter Optimization of EP-MAP Hybrid Machining for Micro Pattern Deburring)

  • An EP(Electrolytic Polishing)-MAP(Magnetic Abrasive Polishing) hybrid process was applied to remove burr on the micro pattern. Micro pattern fabrication processes are combined with micro milling and EP-MAP hybrid process for deburring. Depending on the micro milling conditions which are applied, micro burrs are formed around the side and top of the pattern. The EP-MAP deburring is used to remove these burrs effectively. To optimize removal rate and form error in the EP-MAP hybrid process, a design of experiment was performed. The effect of deburring process and form error of micro pattern are evaluated via SEM images and the results of AFM.
