구조 최적설계를 위한 다양한 근사 최적화기법의 적용 및 비교에 관한 연구 (Comparative Study of Approximate Optimization Techniques in CAE-Based Structural Design)

  • 본 논문에서는 범프 및 브레이크 하중조건 하에서 자동차 넉클의 강도설계에 관한 다양한 회귀모델 기반 근사최적화 기법 및 그 성능을 비교하고자 한다. 최적설계문제는 응력, 변형 및 진동주파수의 제한조건 하에서 중량을 최소화하여 설계변수인 단면치수가 결정되도록 정식화 된다. 비교 연구를 위해 사용된 근사화 기법은 순차적 근사최적화(SAO), 순차적 이점대각이차 근사최적화(STDQAO), 그리고 개선된 이동최소 자승법(MLSM) 기반 근사최적화 기법인 CF-MLSM 와 Post-MLSM 이다. SAO 와 STDQAO 적용을 위하여 상용 프로세스통합 설계최적화(PIDO) 코드를 사용하였다. 본 연구에 적용한 MLSM 기반 근사최적화 기법들은 제한조건의 가용성을 보장할 수 있도록 새롭게 개발되었다. 다양한 근사최적화 기법에 의한 설계결과는 설계 해의 개선 및 수렴속도 등 수치적 성능을 기준으로 실제 비근사최적화 결과와 비교검토 되었다.

승용차 도어의 개폐 이음 저감을 위한 도어체커 개발 (Development of a Car Door Checker for Reducing Noise in Opening)

  • A door checker holds a car door at several opening angles and limits the maximum door opening, so that the door does not bump against to passengers. Recently, the performance of door checker becomes more important as the feeling of door opening and closing effects on the quality of a car. However, some of door checkers make squealing noise when they are used for ages, which causes consumer's complaints as well as decreasing commercial value of the product. In this study, after various experiments for the noise, we concluded that the major reasons of the noise are acceleration of wearing and loss of lubricant due to impurities in working parts. Therefore, we developed a new mechanism of door checker which can resolve the major reasons of the noise. The developed mechanism is effective to prevent inflow of impurities and loss of lubricant by locating working parts in the case. We also proved that the developed mechanism does not make any noise after the test of 50,000 times of operations.

레이저 열-압착 본딩 시스템의 Lateral Force 감소를 위한 유연 힌지의 설계 (Design of flexure hinge to reduce lateral force of laser assisted thermo-compression bonding system)

  • Laser Assisted Thermo-Compression Bonding (LATCB) has been proposed to improve the "chip tilt due to the difference in solder bump height" that occurs during the conventional semiconductor chip bonding process. The bonding module of the LATCB system has used a piezoelectric actuator to control the inclination of the compression jig on a micro scale, and the piezoelectric actuator has been directly coupled to the compression jig to minimize the assembly tolerance of the compression jig. However, this structure generates a lateral force in the piezoelectric actuator when the compression jig is tilted, and the stacked piezoelectric element vulnerable to the lateral force has a risk of failure. In this paper, the optimal design of the flexure hinge was performed to minimize the lateral force generated in the piezoelectric actuator when the compression jig is tilted by using the displacement difference of the piezoelectric actuator in the bonding module for LATCB. The design variables of the flexure hinge were defined as the hinge height, the minimum diameter, and the notch radius. And the effect of the change of each variable on the stress generated in the flexible hinge and the lateral force acting on the piezoelectric actuator was analyzed. Also, optimization was carried out using commercial structural analysis software. As a result, when the displacement difference between the piezoelectric actuators is the maximum (90um), the maximum stress generated in the flexible hinge is 11.5% of the elastic limit of the hinge material, and the lateral force acting on the piezoelectric actuator is less than 1N.

차량 시뮬레이터 접목을 위한 실시간 인체거동 해석기법 (Real-Time Analysis of Occupant Motion for Vehicle Simulator)

  • Visual effects are important cues for providing occupants with virtual reality in a vehicle simulator which imitates real driving. The viewpoint of an occupant is sensitively dependent upon the occupant's posture, therefore, the total human body motion must be considered in a graphic simulator. A real-time simulation is required for the dynamic analysis of complex human body motion. This study attempts to apply a neural network to the motion analysis in various driving situations. A full car of medium-sized vehicles was selected and modeled, and then analyzed using ADAMS in such driving conditions as bump-pass and lane-change for acquiring the accelerations of chassis of the vehicle model. A hybrid III 50%ile adult male dummy model was selected and modeled in an ellipsoid model. Multibody system analysis software, MADYMO, was used in the motion analysis of an occupant model in the seated position under the acceleration field of the vehicle model. Acceleration data of the head were collected as inputs to the viewpoint movement. Based on these data, a back-propagation neural network was composed to perform the real-time analysis of occupant motions under specified driving conditions and validated output of the composed neural network with MADYMO result in arbitrary driving scenario.

High frequency measurement and characterization of ACF flip chip interconnects

  • Microwave model and high-frequency measurement of the ACF flip-chip interconnection was investigated using a microwave network analysis. S-parameters of on-chip and substrate were separately measured in the frequency range of 200 MHz to 20 GHz using a microwave network analyzer HP8510 and cascade probe. And the cascade transmission matrix conversion was performed. The same measurements and conversion techniques were conducted on the assembled test chip and substrate at the same frequency range. Then impedance values in ACF flip-chip interconnection were extracted from cascade transmission matrix. ACF flip chip interconnection has only below 0.1nH, and very stable up to 13 GHz. Over the 13 GHz, there was significant loss because of epoxy capacitance of ACF. However, the addition of SiO$_2$filler to the ACF lowered the dielectric constant of the ACF materials resulting in an increase of resonance frequency up to 15 GHz. High frequency behavior of metal Au stud bumps was investigated. The resonance frequency of the metal stud bump interconnects is higher than that of ACF flip-chip interconnects and is not observed at the microwave frequency band. The extracted model parameters of adhesive flip chip interconnects were analyzed with the considerations of the characteristics of material and the design guideline of ACA flip chip for high frequency applications was provided.

타이어 공기압에 따른 ER 댐퍼 장착 승용차의 승차감분석 (Ride Comfort Analysis of Passenger Vehicle Featuring ER Damper with Different Tire Pressure)

  • In this work, performance analysis to improve ride comfort of an ER (electrorheological) fluid damper for a mid-sized passenger vehicle in terms of tire pressure is presented. An ER damper by considering specification for a mid-sized commercial passenger vehicle is proposed and mechanically designed. After manufacturing and assembling the proposed ER damper with design parameters, their performance such as field-dependent damping forces are experimentally measured. A quarter-vehicle ER ECS (Electronic Control Suspension) system consisting of the ER damper, sprung mass, spring, sky-hook controller and tire is constructed to analysis the ride comfort performances. Vertical tire stiffness with different tire pressure is experimentally measured and investigated. In addition, ride comfort analysis such as vertical acceleration root mean square (RMS) of sprung mass is investigated under bump road using quarter-vehicle test equipment.

플립 칩 기술을 이용한 밀리미터파 대역 브랜치라인 커플러의 설계 (Design of Millimeterwave Branch-Line Coupler Using Flip-Chip Technology)

  • 본 논문에서는 플립 칩 기술을 이용한 새로운 형태의 브랜치 라인 커플러를 제안하였다. 제안된 구조는 CPW와 반전된 구조의 마이크로스트립으로 이루어져 있다. CPW는 플립 칩 주기판인 GaAs 기판상에 구성되어졌으며, 반전된 구조의 마이크로스트립으로 이루어져 있다. CPW의 접지면은 마이크로스틀립의 접지면으로 사용되며, 두 전송선로는 솔더 범프를 통해 연결되어 있다. 제안된 구조의 특성은 FDTD로 계산되어졌다. S21과 S31은 -3dB이며, 위상차는 $90^{\circ}$인 일반적인 브랜치라인 커플러와 같은 특성을 보였다. 본 제안된 구조는 플립 칩 기술을 이용한 여러 분야에 이용될 수 있으리라 기대된다.

가변 부성저항을 이용한 새로운 CMOS 뉴럴 오실레이터의 집적회로 설계 및 구현 (Integrated Circuit Design and Implementation of a Novel CMOS Neural Oscillator using Variable Negative Resistor)

  • 0.5㎛ 2중 폴리 CMOS 공정을 이용하여 새로운 뉴럴 오실레이터를 설계, 제작하였다. 제안하는 뉴럴 오실레이터는 트랜스콘덕터 및 캐패시터와 비선형 가변 부성저항으로 이루어진다. 뉴럴 오실레이터의 입력단으로 사용되는 비선형 가변 부성저항은 정귀환의 트랜스콘덕터와 가우시안 분포의 전류전압 특성을 지니는 범프 회로를 이용하여 구현하였다. 또한 SPICE 모의실험을 통하여 제안한 오실레이터의 특성분석 후 집적회로 설계를 실시하였다. 한편 흥분성 및 억제성 시냅스로 연결된 4개의 뉴럴 오실레이터로 간단한 신경회로망을 구성하여 그 특성을 확인하였다. 집적회로로 제작된 뉴럴 오실레이터에 대하여 ± 2.5 V 전원 조건하에서 측정된 결과를 분석하고 모의실험 결과와 비교한다.

  • This paper presents dynamic modeling and controller design of a tracked vehicle installed with the double rod type ERSU(electro-rheological suspension unit). A 16 degree-of-freedom model for the tracked vehicle is established by Lagrangian method followed by the formulation of a new sky-ground hook controller. This controller takes account for both the ride quality and the steering stability. The weighting parameter between the two performance requirements is adopted to adjust required performance characteristics with respect to the operation conditions such as road excitation. The parameter is appropriately determined by employing a fuzzy algorithm associated with the vehicle motion. Computer simulations are undertaken in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control system. Acceleration values at the driver's seat are analyzed under bump road profile, while frequency responses of vertical acceleration are investigated under random road excitation.

가상 환경 및 6축 모션 시뮬레이터를 이용한 무인차량 영상 안정화 장치 시험 (Test of Vision Stabilizer for Unmanned Vehicle Using Virtual Environment and 6 Axis Motion Simulator)

  • 본 논문에서는 가상현실 및 모션 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 무인차량용 영상 안정화 장치의 실내 시험환경을 구축하였다. 실제 주행 환경은 군용 탱크 시험을 위한 애버딘 시험장 범프 주행로의 가상 환경으로 대체하였다. 또한 무인 차량 모션은 모션 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 구현하였다. 가상 주행 환경은 모션 시뮬레이터 위에 설치된 영상안정화 장치의 앞에 구현하였다. 영상 안정화 장치의 카메라의 영상 및 카메라에 부착된 IMU 센서 데이터를 통해 안정화 성능을 확인하였다.
