A survey on the understanding of dental homepages by students of dental hygiene departments and dental hygienists in some regions (일부 지역 치위생과 학생과 치과위생사를 대상으로 한 치과홈페이지 인식도 조사)

  • Objectives : The purpose of the study is to gain some basic material for the improvement of dental clinics' homepages through a survey investigation, in which college students of Dental Hygiene Departments and Dental Hygienists in Kwangju and Cheollanamdo Province Methods : It conducted the self-reported questionnaire survey on the Recognition Degrees of the Dental Clinics' Homepages from May 26, 2010 to October 19 targeting 240 dental hygienists who are working for dental offices and 638 college students of Dental Hygiene Departments. Results : 1. It was asked whether they have visited dental homepages for the recent one year; 'yes' answers occupied 68.1%, double than 'no' answers. 2. It was asked how much they know services provided in dental homepages; The more respondents correctly answered that there exist all these services like general information service, visitor's book and bulletin board service, reservation service, dental information service, counseling service, and visual service. 3. All the respondents answered that the homepage of each dental clinic is closely related with the image of the clinic : freshmen showed 3.84, sophomore showed 4.03, juniors showed 4.03, and dental hygienists showed 3.88. 4. It was asked how much they know services provided in dental homepages; Are there the homepages for dental hygienists? Many of them answered that IT experts or businesses are managing the homepages in the technical respect(38.4%) and their use and general administration mainly belongs to dental hygienists(46.2%). Conclusions : It is necessary that through the studies of dental hygienists' interest and understanding on dental homepages we have to seek the development orientation of the technical management and the way of using them, and furthermore we have to know the thoughts of patients on dental homepages, who are users of the dental informations, and find the ways of improving medical services which the patients want.

A Study on Safety Management System for Shipbuilding Industry (조선업 사업장의 안전관리 시스템 구축에 관한 연구)

  • A large number of accidents have been occurred in the domestic shipbuilding industry. Its number of accidents is approximately twice than that of manufacturing industry and three times larger than that of whole industry in general. There are several reasons that make it hard to control the accidents. First, it is because the shipbuilding industry is composed of many subcontractors who may need improvement in safety education and safety management. Second, the shipyard environments are exposed to lots of hazards such as high elevation works, isolated workspaces, heavyweight and huge structures/components. Last, the shipbuilding industry has grown too rapidly in a short period. For that reason, the safety management standards and safety consciousness could not catch up the speed of its development. In this study, it is suggested to use a more efficient and easier way to conduct safety management using a web-based safety management system for the shipbuilding industry. This system is composed of four main parts, which is available for self-auditing with legal support. Those are checklists based safety and health evaluation, safety inspection, user shared accident database and user shared bulletin board. It is expected that this system can help us to reduce risks in the shipbuilding industry considerably.

  • This paper describes design and implementation of a general purpose cyber educational system. In this system, there are different types of menus and services according to such user's rights as system operators, professors, assistant instructors, students. In order to keep in close contact between students and professors, provided are various services such as the official announcement, transcripts of lecture, bulletin board, Q/A corner, report box, archive of study materials, electronic mail box, memorandum including checking of one's attendance and school record. For the purpose of activating small group studies and discussion about given subject, it can organize into groups automatically and provide with debating rooms. The system is implemented by separating with both HTML design and programming part by templete concept. Overload of iterative server is solved by adjusting the numbers of DB servers of each service.

Importance-performance Analysis of High School Students in Seoul towards Restaurant Service Attributes (서울지역 고등학생들의 외식서비스 특성에 대한 중요인지도와 수행만족도 비교)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare high-school students importance and performance toward restaurant service attributes for the marketing strategy development. Specific objectives were to: a) investigate restaurant patronage characteristics of high school students; b) identify the difference of patronage behavior among three types of restaurants; and c) analyze the importance and performance among three types of restaurants. A questionnaire was developed and hand-delivered to 400 students enrolled 9th grade in 4 different high schools in Seoul. A total of 320 students (80%) was responded to this study. The questionnaire was composed of two parts with 47 restaurant service attribute statements. Results of this study were as follows: 1. A total of 57% was female and 61% of respondents spent less than ₩5,000 per week on eating out. 2. The frequency of visiting the low-priced restaurant was 8.9 times per week. 3. Reasons for being a patronage to low- (${\geq}$₩2,000) and mid-priced ( <₩2,000 and ${\geq}$₩5,000) restaurants were hunger, appointment, and seeking favorites with freinds but the reason for high-priced (<₩5,000) restaurants was celebrating special days with parents. 4. The main source of information for selecting restaurants was family and friends, T.V. advertising, and bulletin board. 5. For the low-priced restaurants, food, hygiene, price, and location were rated as important; location, price, menu, and food were rated as satisfied. 6. For the mid-priced restaurants, hygiene, food, price, and menu were rated as important; food, hygiene, service, and menu were rated as satisfied. 7. For the high-priced restaurants, hygiene, food, and atmosphere were rated as important; food, hygiene, atmosphere, and menu were as satisfied. 8. According to paired t-test, the score gap between importance and performance was the highest in the hygiene attribute; differences were high with the low-priced and low with high-priced restaurants.

Consciousness on Korean Traditional Food and Holiday Food of Elementary School Dietitians in Jeonnam Area (전남지역 초등학교 영양사의 전통음식과 절식에 대한 인식)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate consciousness on Korean traditional food and holiday foods of the elementary school dietitians, to provide the basic data for positive utilization of the traditional food and holiday foods in school food service. The survey was conducted from 239 elementary school dietitians in Jeonnam area. The used questionnaire consists of 7 questions on dietitians' general information, 3 questions on the importance of Korean traditional food, 6 questions on the succession and development of education on the traditional food. Data were analyzed by a SAS program and frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation were calculated from it. According to the survey, the preference of the tradition food was remarkable to the dietitians who were elderly and had worked for a long term. The degree of utilization about Korean traditional food was investigated once a month. Education of Korean traditional food intake was generally executed every 6 months. Then the way for that was utilized school home page or school bulletin board. Dietitians reply positively about providing Korean traditional food for the school food service. The reasons were the followings. to be able to flavor a taste of the Korean traditional food, to hand down Korean dietary customs and to help keep good health.

  • Recently, there are various employment-related homepages such as Jobkorea and World Job. However, since these websites have the one-to-one communication with corporate users and users, the amount of information that can be obtained from the viewpoint of users is limited. The proposed system improves this limitation, where a user creates a blog through member registration, uploads and creates a document to a blog, and a company official can perform an annotation function. This enables users to easily manage the desired documents, share information with other users, and affix them to the users who want to add to the company, so that the corporate users and users can communicate with each other. Thus, we believe that the proposed model can solve problems in the current job market and provide a new level of portfolio system for new media environment.

  • The handicapped are so desperate for other's help, but it is not enough. The number of social workers who offers help for the handicapped has annually increased, it is still not enough of these compared to the number of the handicapped. And then volunteers are needed information to service about welfare centers and the procedure. In this paper, we developed offering help and information of welfare android application for the handicapped of the vulnerable class of the society. This application was developed for the handicapped who are in need of help and the volunteers who want to help the handicapped. It basically displays position of welfare centers surrounding user on Google map. The handicapped who needs help of another indicates their current position with messages, the handicapped positions are displayed for volunteers. In addition, we developed bulletin board to be transaction and swapping for assisting device information.

Real-time Phishing Site Detection Method (피싱사이트 실시간 탐지 기법)

  • Nowadays many phishing sites contain HTTP links to victim web-site's contents such as images, bulletin board etc. to make the phishing sites look more real and similar to the victim web-site. We introduce a real-time phishing site detection system which makes use of the characteristic that the phishing sites' URLs flow into the victim web-site via the HTTP referer header field when the phishing site is visited. The detection system is designed to adopt an out-of-path network configuration to minimize effect on the running system, and a phishing site source code analysis technique to alert administrators in real-time when phishing site is detected. The detection system was installed on a company's web-site which had been targeted for phishing. As result, the detection system detected 40 phishing sites in 6 days of test period.

  • By reducing time spent outside, a shopping system was developed for middle-aged and elderly people who mainly use neighborhood marts and neighborhood mart managers. The main functions of this app are direct shopping and online shopping, and it was developed using QR code using Zxing library on Android and Kakao Map using Kakao API. In addition, it provides information such as payment statistics and bulletin board posts that members need through recycler view and graphs in an easy-to-read manner. Through this system, members can efficiently manage by reducing fatigue when using the mart through direct purchase using QR code and delivery through map, and reducing manpower wastage as a mart manager. Also, as a mart manager, more consumers will be able to sell more items.

  • Recently, as more and more cyclists ride bicycles for their health and more people commute by bicycle, the number of cyclists has increased. However, as the number of users increases, many accidents occur, and the handling of bicycle accidents is unstable. It is inadequate to prepare for accidents in other ways except for safety equipment. Therefore, there is a need for a safe and convenient way for modern adults to ride. Unlike other apps, in this study, by adding a safety function, you can shoot a black box while riding, and a function to inform you that it is an accident-prone area is implemented. In addition, a function that can detect an accident using the Android built-in sensor and automatically make emergency contact is added. Cyclists can secure safety and convenience in one app without the need to use additional apps. Furthermore it develops an app system that allows you to talk about riding and share your route through the Riding Community bulletin board.
