This study reviews several innovative electronic reference services that will be transformed in the age of the virtual library. This study focused on reference service via E-mail and electronic bulletin board which is regarded as the most important service in a variety of electronic reference services. Through E-mail and the electronic bulletin board, the user submits questions and the librarian responds with the answer. Though interest in using E-mail and electronic bulletin board as a basis for reference service has grown considerably in recent years, it is still in its infancy in Korea. Thus the purpose of this study is to propose a model electronic reference service system using E-mail and the electronic bulletin board for university libraries in Korea. This system consists of the following modules: electronic reference services policy, open reference service via electronic bulletin board, closed reference service via E-mail, and FAQ. This system is meant to be a guide for those considering implementing such a service.

Internet bulletin boards have been used to exchange their idea and information among Internet users. But the existing Internet bulletin boards can not satisfy user's personal view. In this raper, Web 2.0 based customized Internet bulletin board is to design. The proposed Internet bulletin board provides each user with personalized information which are established by user beforehand. So user can retrieve his interested information fast. Moreover user can generate his own personalized bulletin board to collect one's interested information automatically. The personalized bulletin board is connected to several Internet bulletin boards with RSS feeds.

Electronic bulletin boards, has been used as an effective tool in various information delivery. However, many electronic bulletin board as a one-way information passed by the interactivity is lacking. In this paper, the interaction of the information, while maintaining an electronic bulletin board that can be operated on a variety of platforms, the Android-based software and hardware for the design and implementation. Electronic reference service was defined as reference service designed for remote users and identified by a specific link from a library' website. This study examined whether academic libraries deliver web-based electronic reference services to remote users. Particularly, four types of electronic bulletin board services, free bulletin board, FAQ, Q＆A and reference question-response service were measured in terms of 8 types of questions and 12 contents of questions. The result showed that there was few differences among 4 services. Guidelines for effective use of electronic bulletin board services in academic libraries were suggested: standardization of service names, easy access to menu services, definition of each menu, search function for contents and standard web forms.

Various electronic bulletin board systems (BBS) exist on the Internet. A user has to use two or more BBS. Because his/her interests may not be restricted to only one subject and BBS satisfying his/her interests may not be restricted to only one also. Furthermore, in each BBS, two or more subjects are parallel discussed while the newest contribution is always carried out. Therefore, when a user tries to keep on perusing about a specific subject, it is necessary for the user to remember in which BBS the subject exists and in the past what article of the subject was read. In this paper, we are aiming to construct an electronic bulletin board integrated management system. In this system, a user is able to use two or more BBS just like one BBS. In this paper, we present a framework of the electronic bulletin board integrated management system and implementation of a prototype system.

This paper describes practical research on the improvement of teaching and learning process by integrating Web Bulletin Board (WBB) and mobile phone. This paper addresses three topics; A) the interactive lecture with topics-based discussions using the Web Bulletin Board (WBB) as a tool for assisting discussion, B) the introduction of peer evaluation among students to develop their problem-solving and cognitive skills, C) the use of mobile phones for promoting interactive lectures, keeping class attendance, conducting assignments, and providing notices for the next class. Results indicated the following research-findings: (1) WBB plays a role in facilitating positive participation in classes. (2) In contrast to the scenario of the traditional mode of instruction (without the usage of WBB), students were able to deepen their understanding of the theme by accessing the WBB before and after classes. (3) Peer evaluation highly promoted students' motivation to learn, and was effective in cultivating meta-cognition through modeling. (4) Mobile phone was identified as a highly effective tool for keeping class attendance, realizing interactive classes by generating discussions, and managing assignments and homework.

We proposed and stratified a selection standard model on Open Source Functional Board which could be found in Web. So we could grasp the weight about Performance Evaluation from the viewpoints of planners, developers, and web disigner professional of views. We suggested applying diverse measurement types in case of item which could chart Evaluation Standards on chosen sample boards. In case of item which couldn't do that, we compared and analyzed it by using selective type of 9 point scaling method on professionalists in every sample board. As a result of weight on upper estimate section of evaluation model chart, the order of importance was convenience(0.334), performance(0.333), function(0.240) and design(0.093) respectively. It indicates that there is more weight on performance and convenience which are hard to be structurally modified than designs and functions that are directly shown to the users. Also, it was evident that opposite results came out when using 9-point scale survey and measurement with objective data such as function and performance. The reason is because the surveyed subject can have his or her own subjectivity and bias unlike objective data. However, objectivity of the administrator is also an important factor thus both two perspectives have to be all considered when selecting the bulletin board.

Bulletin board systems have evolved to support diverse multimedia data as well as text. However, current board systems have an weakness : it takes much time and efforts for users to figure out contents of articles. Most board systems provide a searching function with lexical level data access for solving that problem, however it fails to serve users' intented searching results. Moreover, it is nearly impossible to search proper articles if they contain multimedia data. This paper proposed a bulletin board system adopting the Semantic Web to solve this issue. The proposed system provides users with new ontology which is used for describing articles' domain knowledge and multimedia features. Users can describe their own board ontology using the proposed ontology. To support semantic-based searching for diverse domain knowledge without modification of the system, the system dynamically generated input/query interface and RDF data access module according to the board ontology written by administrators. The proposed board system shows that semantic-based searching is feasible and effective for users to find their intended articles.

본 논문에서는 LMS나 고비용의 콘텐츠를 사용하지 않고 기본적인 상호작용 도구인 게시판을 개선하여 블렌디드 러닝에서 학습효과를 향상 시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시한다. 제안한 E-BoardII는 게시판의 기능을 개선하여 학습자의 성취 정도의 실시간 점검, 피드백 기능 수행, 수업 콘텐츠의 자동 생산 및 실시간 활용, 학습 동기 부여 및 분위기 환기 등의 효과를 가진다.

This paper presents a feasibility study of an advanced IO board design for the next generation of low-earth orbit satellites. Advanced IO board design includes sensor interface, NO, D/A, Digital Module, Serial Module etc, and allows to process increasing data rates between IO board and CPU board. The higher data rate involved in modem IO board additionally introduce issues such as noise, fault tolerance, command and data handling, limited pin count and power consumption problems. The experience in KOMPSAT-l and 2 program with this kind of problems resulted in using SMCS chip set, a high speed serial link technology based on IEEE-1355 (Space Wire Protocol) (ESA-ESTEC 2003, Parkes 1999), as a standard for next generation of satellite IO board design.
