  • This paper researched about Development Cutting Tool User Defined Module Based(PMCUDMS) on Simulation that was able to adapt themselves to rapid development of software and hardware to adopt. It is basic research that develops a scheme whereby technic make property. This paper theorized about to realize Cutting Tool User Defined Module Based on Simulation which is developing CNC Software flows from building Windows XP operating system's image that is possible realtime acting and multitasking to correct. And Cutting Tool User Defined Module Based on Simulation component which was consisted of basis OS, NC Code parser, Servo Motor Control, Simulator, Man-Machine Interface.

공공시설물 지진대응을 위한 중요도 평가기준에 관한 연구 (A Study on Evaluation Criteria for Infrastructure Importance regarding Earthquake)

  • The perception of earthquake in Korea has changed due to the earthquake that occurred in Gyeongju and Pohang, and the earthquake has become an important factor in infrastructure management. Damage to infrastructures in the event of an earthquake is extensive. In particular, damage to infrastructures that perform public function used to spread to the whole area. From the point of view of earthquake disaster prevention, it is very important for the public to define what infrastructures are important management targets and to prepare a countermeasure. In this study, we propose a method to evaluate the importance of infrastructure to effectively manage infrastructures for earthquakes. For this purpose, important factors for the railway bridges, power generation and electric power facilities, and apartment complexes are suggested. AHP analysis is conducted to suggest priorities. In addition, the evaluation criteria for infrastructure importance are presented.

GPU 기반 행렬 덧셈 및 스칼라 곱셈 알고리즘 (Matrix Addition & Scalar Multiplication on the GPU)

  • Recently a GPU has acquired programmability to perform general purpose computation fast by running thousands of threads concurrently. This paper presents a parallel GPU computation algorithm for dense matrix-matrix addition and scalar multiplication using OpenGL compute shader. It can play a very important role as a fundamental building block for many high-performance computing applications. Experimental results on NVIDIA Quad 4000 show that the proposed algorithm runs 21 times faster than CPU algorithm and achieves performance of 16 GFLOPS in single precision for dense matrices with size 4,096. Such performance proves that our algorithm is practical for real applications.

Automatic Extraction of Blood Flow Area in Brachial Artery for Suspicious Hypertension Patients from Color Doppler Sonography with Fuzzy C-Means Clustering

  • Color Doppler sonography is a useful tool for examining blood flow and related indices. However, it should be done by well-trained operator, that is, operator subjectivity exists. In this paper, we propose an automatic blood flow area extraction method from brachial artery that would be an essential building block of computer aided color Doppler analyzer. Specifically, our concern is to examine hypertension suspicious (prehypertension) patients who might develop their symptoms to established hypertension in the future. The proposed method uses fuzzy C-means clustering as quantization engine with careful seeding of the number of clusters from histogram analysis. The experiment verifies that the proposed method is feasible in that the successful extraction rates are 96% (successful in 48 out of 50 test cases) and demonstrated better performance than K-means based method in specificity and sensitivity analysis but the proposed method should be further refined as the retrospective analysis pointed out.

  • The field of construction and transportation R&D has been increased and improved wih the integration into the ICT. With the rapid trend changes like the Fourth Industrial Revolution, new direction and solution of R&D policy is being explored to prepare for the convergence era with other diverse research areas. In order to present new direction, it is necessary to analyze the external environment influencing construction and transportation field. In this regard, this study analyzes the science and technology policy plan and goal in Korea. In conclusion, through the policy analysis, this study suggests new direction of construction and transportation R&D in Korea.

Stresses around an underground opening with sharp corners due to non-symmetrical surface load

  • The paper aims at analyzing the stress distribution around an underground opening that is subjected to non-symmetrical surface loading with emphasis on opening shapes with sharp corners and the stress concentrations developed at these locations. The analysis is performed utilizing the BIE method coupled with the Neumann's series. In order to implement this approach, the special recurrent relations for half plane were proven and the modified Shanks transform was incorporated to accelerate the series convergence. To demonstrate the capability of the developed approach, a horseshoe shape opening with sharp corners was investigated and the location and magnitude of the maximum hoop stress was calculated. The dependence of the maximum hoop stress location on the parameters of the surface loading (degree of asymmetry, size of loaded area) and of the opening (the opening height) was studied. It was found that the absolute magnitude of the maximum hoop stress (for all possible surface loading locations) is developed at the roof points when the opening height/width ratio is relatively large or when the pressure loading area is relatively narrow (compared to the roof arch radius), and contrarily, when the opening height/width ratio is relatively small or when the surface pressure is applied to a relatively wide area, the absolute magnitude of the maximum hoop stress is developed at the bottom sharp corner points.

  • In genetic algorithms(GA), a crossover is performed only at one or two places of a chromosome, and the fixed probabilities of crossover and mutation have been used during the entire generation. A GA with dynamic mutation is known to be superior to GAs with static mutation in performance, but so far no efficient dynamic mutation method has been presented. Accordingly in this paper, a GA is proposed to perform a uniform crossover based on the nucleotide(NU) concept, where DNA and RNA consist of NUs and also a concrete way to vary the probabilities of crossover and mutation dynamically for every generation is proposed. The efficacy of the proposed GA is demonstrated by its application to the unimodal, multimodal and nonlinear control problems, respectively. Simulation results show that in the convergence speed to the optimal value, the proposed GA was superior to existing ones, and the performance of GAs with varying probabilities of the crossover and the mutation improved as compared to GAs with fixed probabilities of the crossover and mutation. And it also shows that the NUs function as the building blocks and so the improvement of the proposed algorithm is supported by the building block hypothesis.

Review of Changing Judging Standards for Bodybuilding and Fitness Competition Category

  • This study examined the importance of screening for changing bodybuilding and fitness category. The screening criteria for bodybuilding, the background and reason for the creation of new bodybuilding and fitness items, the screening criteria for new items, and the use of drugs were described. The current bodybuilding gives high marks to excessive muscles and excessive diet conditions, and new bodybuilding category have been newly established in line with the recent global trend of pursuing natural beauty over abnormally excessive muscles, and the screening criteria also prioritize the balance of ideal and overall muscles to fit your height and weight. In addition, fitness events such as physique and bikini are gaining popularity with the establishment because they focus on not excessive muscles and natural elements of the body that ordinary people can challenge. Since athletes as well as ordinary people are using drugs to increase muscles and suffer side effects, IFBB(International Federation of BodyBuilding) and KBBF(Korea Body Building Federation) should consider and improve the current bodybuilding screening standards that avoid excessive muscles, and it is believed that bodybuilding and fitness events will develop only when strict punishment and continuous anti-doping education are carried out.

가상 데스크톱 인프라(VDI) 기술을 활용한 중소규모 설계사의 BIM 사용자 별 데스크탑 자원 할당 전략에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Establishment of Small and Medium Sized Architectural Design Firm BIM Environment based on Virtual Desktop Infrastructure)

  • 최근 국내에서는 BIM 적용을 의무화하는 프로젝트의 증가로 인하여 BIM 기술의 도입이 확대되고 있지만, 중소설계사무소에서는 관련 제도 미비, 인프라 구축비용, 상이한 프로세스 등과 같은 다양한 문제로 인해 BIM 확산이 저조한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제 중에서 BIM 운영관리를 위해 필요한 인프라 구축 및 유지비용 절감 방안으로 타 산업에서 최근 적용이 모색되고 있는 클라우드 컴퓨팅 기술 중 하나인 VDI 시스템을 BIM 분야에 적용하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 연구 수행절차로는 중소설계사무소의 BIM 기반 환경에서 문제점을 분석하고 타 산업에서 VDI의 활용 요소가 BIM 환경의 저해요인을 해소 할 수 있는지 분석한 후, 건설 산업에 적합한 VDI 시스템 적용 방안을 모색하여 Server 규모산정 프로세스를 구축하였다. 이를 바탕으로 BIM 인프라 환경에 적용하여 자원관리의 효율성을 분석하여 BIM 환경에서 성공적인 VDI 도입에 일조 하고자 한다.

안테나 지향성 원리를 이용한 5G 건물 내 품질향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on Improvement of 5G In-Building Quality using Antenna Orientation Principle)

  • 본 연구는 5G가 안정화되어 갈수록 많은 양의 트래픽이 건물 내 발생할 것으로 예상됨에 따라, 건물 내 5G 품질향상을 위해 지향성이 향상된 인빌딩용 안테나를 설계한 연구이다. 야기 안테나 전파 지향원리인 안테나 소자 전진 배열방식을 응용한 것이 아니라, 기지국용 안테나에 적용된 수직 배열 방식의 안테나 설계 방안을 제시한 것이고, 실험을 통해 안테나 지향성이 증가함을 확인하였다. 실험 결과에 따르면, 안테나와의 이격거리가 10m 이내에서는 지향성이 크게 증가하지 않았지만, 10m 이상 이격된 거리에서는 지향성이 약 3dB 가량 증가한 것으로 나타났으며, 빌딩 내 무선환경이 외부 환경과 달리 내부 구조물의 구조, 콘크리트, 유리와 같은 자재, 폐쇄된 공간, 벽면 등 다양한 변수가 존재하는 점을 고려하였을 때, 지향성이 향상된 안테나는 향후 빌딩 내 5G 품질개선의 폭을 넓힐 수 있고, 건물 내에서도 안정적인 통신 서비스를 유지시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
