  • Waterproofing is one of the important factor to improve performance of building elements. But existing repair system for waterproofing have many problems like a damage of waterproof layer due to movement of concrete substrate, blistering effect and moisture condition. So waterproofing layer can not play an important part to improve waterproofing function and performance of building. Therefore, new waterproofing system to solve these problems of existing waterproofing system is developed. In this paper, new waterproofing system in water-leakage repair for remodeling is introduced

  • The purpose of this study is to present a fundamental data for evaluating aircraft noise of building site development. By the field experiments and the predicted equal noise level contours using the INM program, actual condition in the building site development arranged district was investigated. In order to get the results, Analysis of factors effected on noise level, sound level on the rate of increase to aircraft demand and difference on the aircraft noise levels according to floor level in apartment house was carried out. As a result the influence of the take-off and landing direction were appeared greatly. The influences of the height at receiving point, movement number of aircraft and increase to aircraft demand were appeared small And the influence of 1 day average WECPNL must be considered.

  • Recently, to ensure the high openness and prospect right of the building, curtain wall system is mainly applied to the high-rise buildings at domestic and overseas. As a result, the use of Structural Sealant is increasing. Structural Glazing Sealant is applied with the glass and AL-FRAME (Mullion) that the strong structural strength is required to hold. However, the structural sealant at the construction site in a variety of external influences, such as wind load, thermal load, uv, chemical pollutants etc, in case of storing condition, if structural sealant stored in high temperature for a long period time, it will not perform well compared with initial performance. In this study, the influence of the performance of one-component structural sealant evaluated for proper storage conditions at the construction site and how to use the non-intended.

  • Purpose: Now a day, Most of the residential house in Korea consists of apartment buildings. However, in the case of old apartment buildings, dwelling environment condition depends on management effort by residents. But we can't rebuild or restructure only old single dwelling unit in apartment buildings. And we can't move every single dwelling unit in the apartment building. Therefore, this study suggests a prototype of combinable container dwelling module apartment. Method: The method of research is exploring the case of previously constructed containers. Based on the case, This study suggests prototypes to create a variable apartment design with dwelling container units. Based on the prototype, various combinations are proposed to produce various types of dwelling space. Finally, this study makes an example plan for the apartment by using the container unit modules. Results: This study suggests combinable container apartment building prototypes. And it may be a fundamental study of changing the apartment building concept.

  • This study is under doing to suggest application manual using assembling reference plane design & standard finish material basis upon material classification code as a tool of a linkage between building design and construction standarization in order to enlarge the applicability of house building material that is produced by the module plant. We can say the goal of building standardization intend not only the improvement of construction productibility but also guarantee of subsequent performance through automatization basis upon informationalization of building design. For a etabilishing of this condition, it is neccessary to link the standardization's result of material--design--construction field. According to this neccessity, we are going to suggest information factor that can make relative business manager easily approach to the standardization practical task.

  • Defect dispute has been a continuous claim that concerning a apartment building. However, objective standard of judgment is inadequate to solve defect dispute. Furthermore, it need to scientific evidence that composited standard of judgment. This evidence has a necessary to collect a data for a long time and systematically analyze. Therefore, it need to develop smart information management system, in this study, it review user-oriented condition as swot analysis.

  • A numerical wind tunnel simulation is performed in order to predict wind loads acting on a building. The aim of the present study is to suggest a guideline for the numerical wind tunnel analysis, which could provide more detail wind load distributions compared to the wind code and expensive wind tunnel experiments. To validate the present numerical simulation, wind-induced loads on a 6 m cube model is predicted. Atmospheric boundary layer is used as a inlet boundary condition. Various effect of numerical methods are investigated such as size of computational domain, grid density, turbulence model and discretization scheme. The appropriate procedure for the numerical wind tunnel analysis is suggested through the present study.

A Study on the Improvement of Energy Performance in School Buildings (학교건물의 에너지 성능개선에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to improve of energy performance in school buildings. Many building renovations have mainly focused on commercial buildings and houses, but school buildings have no attention in this field although there are many buildings that show degraded energy performance and there are many old fashioned buildings which need renovation. This study was carried out through the survey, field study, energy simulation and life cycle cost analysis. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: In model building, large amount of heat were lost at the building envelope, such as non-insulated skins, window-sills and window-frame joints. According to the simulation result, about 15% of heating energy is saved by the insulating works compared to pre-renovation condition. Also, LCC analysis revealed to be more effective to select a exteria wall insulation such as a dryvit system.

  • Currently, free-form building has been increased worldwide. However, as a finishing material of free-form building, the production of free-form concrete panels(FCPs) spends lots of cost and efforts since it is difficult to reuse the FCP formwork and lots of workers are needed to make free-form curve. In addition, the technology to produce the FCP economically and easily is insufficient. Therefore, the objective of this study is a basic study regarding production management for developing free-form concrete panels. To achieve the objective, the property of FCP and condition for effective production management and production process are analyzed. The results of this study can utilize to develop the algorithm for FCP production management.

  • The fact that the major cases of life casualties are from smoke in the fire accidents and the expected steep increase of skyscrapers, huge spaces, multiplexes and huge scaled underground spaces demand establishment of efficient smoke countermeasure. The architectural factors affecting the pressure field of building should be examined for the successful design and operation of smoke management system and the stack effect is one of the important factors. The field experiments on stack effect in stairwells of high-rise building with regard to open/close condition of door are carried out to evaluate the features of pressure applied to door between each compartments, i.e, stair, lobby and accommodation. The procedures and results of experiments are presented.
