  • The requirements for the successful treatment of all-ceramic restorations are not so different from the ones of conventional restorations. "The provisional restoration followed by an adequate tooth reduction" and "the accurately fitting prostheses with corresponding to final impression" can be the examples of them. Nevertheless, the one which all-ceramic restorations are distinguished from conventional restorations is the additional procedure of so called "bonding". In addition to the application of resin cement between "inner surface of restoration and outer surface of abutment", bonding technology can be also applied to the treatment process of "Post and Core" in particular if the abutments are non-vital teeth. Core build-up for all-ceramic crown is conducted with fiber post and tooth colored composite by considering the properties of the restorations transmitting light. We know well that a vital abutment is easier than a non-vital one to get the targeted goals for clinical success in connection with esthetics and structure. The creation of "Post and Core" with bonding technique is a decisive factor for a long-term success if the abutment is non-vital tooth with dentinal collapse. I would like to share my clinical experience about "post & core build-up and all-ceramic restoration bonding" out of several success strategies of all-ceramic crown with this review article.

Automatic 5 Layer Model construction of Business Process Framework(BPF) with M2T Transformation (모델변환을 이용한 비즈니스 프로세스 프레임워크 5레이어 모델 자동 구축 방안)

  • In previous research, we suggested a business process structured query language(BPSQL) for information extraction and retrieval in the business process framework, and used an existing query language with the tablization for each layer within the framework, but still had a problem to manually build with the specification of each layer information of BFP. To solve this problem, we suggest automatically to build the schema based business process model with model-to-text conversion technique. This procedure consists of 1) defining each meta-model of the entire structure and of database schema, and 2) also defining model transformation rules for it. With this procedure, we can automatically transform from defining through meta-modeling of an integrated information system designed to the schema based model information table specification defined of the entire layer each layer specification with model-to-text conversion techniques. It is possible to develop the efficiently integrated information system.

Efficient Approximation of State Space for Reinforcement Learning Using Complex Network Models (복잡계망 모델을 사용한 강화 학습 상태 공간의 효율적인 근사)

  • A number of temporal abstraction approaches have been suggested so far to handle the high computational complexity of Markov decision problems (MDPs). Although the structure of temporal abstraction can significantly affect the efficiency of solving the MDP, to our knowledge none of current temporal abstraction approaches explicitly consider the relationship between topology and efficiency. In this paper, we first show that a topological measurement from complex network literature, mean geodesic distance, can reflect the efficiency of solving MDP. Based on this, we build an incremental method to systematically build temporal abstractions using a network model that guarantees a small mean geodesic distance. We test our algorithm on a realistic 3D game environment, and experimental results show that our model has subpolynomial growth of mean geodesic distance according to problem size, which enables efficient solving of resulting MDP.

HORIZON RUN 4 SIMULATION: COUPLED EVOLUTION OF GALAXIES AND LARGE-SCALE STRUCTURES OF THE UNIVERSE

  • The Horizon Run 4 is a cosmological N-body simulation designed for the study of coupled evolution between galaxies and large-scale structures of the Universe, and for the test of galaxy formation models. Using 63003 gravitating particles in a cubic box of Lbox = 3150 h−1Mpc, we build a dense forest of halo merger trees to trace the halo merger history with a halo mass resolution scale down to Ms = 2.7 × 1011h−1M. We build a set of particle and halo data, which can serve as testbeds for comparison of cosmological models and gravitational theories with observations. We find that the FoF halo mass function shows a substantial deviation from the universal form with tangible redshift evolution of amplitude and shape. At higher redshifts, the amplitude of the mass function is lower, and the functional form is shifted toward larger values of ln(1/σ). We also find that the baryonic acoustic oscillation feature in the two-point correlation function of mock galaxies becomes broader with a peak position moving to smaller scales and the peak amplitude decreasing for increasing directional cosine μ compared to the linear predictions. From the halo merger trees built from halo data at 75 redshifts, we measure the half-mass epoch of halos and find that less massive halos tend to reach half of their current mass at higher redshifts.   • The third phase of NASA's 3D-Printed Habitat Challenge (part of a NASA's Centennial Challenges Program competition) required entrants to build a one-third-scale space exploration habitat (10 ㎡) using 3D-printing technology. This study addresses a proposed habitat (diameter: 3 m, height: 2 m) in accordance with the competition rules. The study focus is to find the most appropriate binder when KOHLS-1 was mixed for extruding and stacking as 3D printing feedstock using pellets, and to build a prototype structure as required by the competition. Unlike previous studies, this study was based around the binders and construction method, not around axis transfer velocity, flow rate, and heater temperature.

Construction of the Digital Archive System from the Records of Westerners Who Stayed in Korea during the Enlightenment Period of Chosun (개화기 조선 체류 서양인 기록물의 디지털 아카이브 시스템 구축)

  • This study was conducted to create a digital archive for local cultural contents compiled from the records of westerners who stayed in Korea during the Enlightenment Period of Chosun. The compiled information were gathered from 22 records, and 10 main subjects, 40 sub-subjects and 239 mini-subjects were derived through the subject classification scheme. Item analysis was conducted through 38 metadata and input data types were classified and databased in Excel. Finally, a web-based digital archiving system was developed for searching and providing information through various access points. Suggestions for future research were made to expand archive contents through continuous excavation of westerners' records, to build an integrated information system of Korean digital archives incorporating individual archive systems, to develop standardization of classification schemes and a multidimensional classification system considering facet structure in cultural heritage areas, to keep consistency of contents through standardization of metadata format, and to build ontology using semantic search functions and data mining functions.

  • This research is to apply suitable natural ecosystem evaluation criteria in order to develop the ecosystem conservation, restoration and ways to build substitute habitats as a compensation plan for damaged soundly natural ecosystems in small-scale projects such as resource recovery facility, filtration, etc. The environmental ecology evaluation i.e. generally based on their actual vegetation, community structure, wildlife, water system survey were measured the primary plans for reflecting unique natural environment level of site. As a result, it is necessary to conserve the land in fallow type of wetland, good conservative condition of deciduous forest, wetlanded watercourse for amphibia and reptiles crossing. However, the plan of filtration plant was destroyed wetland(sound ecosystem), natural forest, asian toad spawning area. According to the result of it schemed to build alternative wetland and spawning area, plan to healthy ecosystem and surface soil transplantation as compensation plan. The alternative wetland and spawning area are not only created a various water levels like depth of water is $0{\sim}30cm,\;30{\sim}60cm$, more than 1.5m but also it leads to asian toad spawning and wildlife inhabitant. Moreover, the ecosystem and surface soil transplantation be applied to use the Quercus acutissima forest resources(114 upper trees, 71 canopy trees, 401 shrubs) and surface soil$(5,072m^3)$ in ecology creation sets.

Estimation of Substring Selectivity in Biological Sequence Database (생물학 서열 데이타베이스에서 부분 문자열의 선적도 추정)

  • Until now, substring selectivities have been estimated by two steps. First step is to build up a count-suffix tree, which has statistical information about substrings, and second step is to estimate substring selectivity using it. However, it's actually impossible to build up a count-suffix tree from biological sequences because their lengths are too long. So, this paper proposes a novel data structure, count q-gram tree, consisting of fixed length substrings. The Count q-gram tree retains the exact counts of all substrings whose lengths are equal to or less than q and this tree is generated in 0(N) time and in site not subject to total length of all sequences, N. This paper also presents an estimation technique, k-MO. k-MO can choose overlapping length of splitted substrings from a query string, and this choice will affect accuracy of selectivity and query processing time. Experiments show k-MO can estimate very accurately.

  • Recently, it is increasingly reported that the deterioration of concrete structure under marine environments is due to diffusion and penetration of chloride ions. It is very important to estimate the diffusion coefficient of chloride ion in concrete. Estimation methods of chloride diffusivity by concentration difference is time-consuming. Therefore, chloride diffusivity of concrete is mainly conducted by electrically accelerated method, which is accelerating the movement of chloride ion by potential difference. However, there has not been any proper method for field quality control to closely determine the diffusion coefficient of chloride ion through accelerated tests using potential difference. In this paper, the various test methods for determination of chloride diffusion coefficient in concrete were investigated through comparison accelerated tests. From the results of estimated diffusion coefficient of chloride ion, relationship between the ponding test and acceleration test was examined.

A Study on the Spatial Organization Methods of O.P.D & the Construction of Healing Environment on O.P.D Waiting Area in Children's Hospital in Seoul Metropolis (서울시 어린이 전문병원 외래진료부의 공간구성방식과 대기공간의 치유환경 구축방안에 관한 연구)

  • This study analyzes the present condition of the elements of a healing environment of the waiting rooms in outpatient clinics of children' hospitals (3 hospitals in Seoul) so as to propose a design to build a healing environment within the children' hospital. And analyzing the importance, satisfaction and preference of the healing environment in the waiting rooms, this paper has come to the following conclusions: 1)The study shows that the space structure of outpatient clinics in children' hospitals are composed of 1 story or 2 stories and designed in a duplication design or a dispersed alcove design. 2)The waiting room of the SC Hospital, with an area of 66.56$m^2$, and the waiting room of the SU Hospital, with an area of 38.78$m^2$ received the highest score for its space. 3)As most patients visit the hospital with their guardian, the waiting room should also be someplace families can rest and share information with others. 4)It is essential to build an environment that eliminates stress elements that patients may come to face by minimizing noise and elements that obstruct the view for mental stability. 5)The results show that those who took part in the survey preferred the following, respectively, healing environment design for the waiting room in the outpatient clinic at children' hospital: Pleasantness>Easiness in finding one' destination>Artificial materials>Natural materials>Environment like that at home>Co-promotion spaces>Space that supports the patients'activities>Openness>Sociality>Safety/Security>Approachability and Privacy. The results also show that healing conditions respect these preferences.
