라이즈비를 고려한 닐센아치교의 형상 거동에 관한 연구 (The Study on Shape Behavior of Nielsen Arch Bridge Considering Rise Ratio)

  • Recently, bridges have been momenttous as not only regarding function but also concerning aesthetics. However, when beauty is considered in the bridge, it is also essential that stability and economics be considered. Besides, when considering stability, an arch bridge is one of the most stable structures. The most important element is a rise ratio when regarding beauty and economics of arch bridges. The effect of dead load and DB24 load have been considered to decide proper rise ratio. Therefore, in this study, examined the value of moment, displacement and member forces, in the variation of the rise ratio of arch bridges. The most optimum shape of Nielsen arch bridges has determined by analyzing member forces, moments and displacement with parameters of rise ratio and angle of vertical members. By comparison between values, the hanger types have been also considered to derive the optimum shape of Nielsen arch bridge.

강교량의 실동피로하에서 잔존수명의 추정 (Estimation of Remaining Service Life of Steel Highway Bridge under Actual Traffic Load)

  • On this condition of steel bridge member having a crack, occasionaly it is improssible to measure of stress history and to extract test specimen. Under this situation, tried to estimate remaining service life from statistical data on traffic and existing results of fatigue test without measuring of stress history and fatigue test. The main results are as following (1) Stress history of simple beam estimated from Montecallo simulation method with probabilistic model of traffic can be use to estimate remaining fatigue life instead of measuring of stress history. (2) In such a case measuring of remaining fatigue life at bridge member haying a crack, influences of RMS model and RMC model on fatigue crack growth rate are not differ without difference of applied stress range. (3) Application of cut off method may be overestimate remaining fatigue life.

  • PSC box bridge by MSS construction method may not be set at cross section at one step. Web and bottom flange(U member) would be set at first, top flange will be set later with a time lag. In this case, U member and top flange concrete have different strain history. As two different aged section behaves as the composite section, there would happen the redistribution of stress. This is come from time-dependent strain characteristics of concrete itself. In this study, two models are considered, one with considering the set time of cross section and the other without. By performing longitudinal analysis of two models on considering construction stage, the stress differences of two are compared. As the analysis results show a considerable differences in the stresses of cross section between two models, the set time of cross section is needed for rational design f PSC box girder bridge.

Bridge-type structures analysis using RMP concept considering shear and bending flexibility

  • Researchers have elaborated several accurate methods to calculate member-end rotations or moments, directly, for bridge-type structures. Recently, the concept of rotation and moment propagation (RMP) has been presented considering bending flexibility, only. Through which, in spite of moment distribution method, all joints are free resulting in rotation and moment emit throughout the structure similar to wave motion. This paper proposes a new set of closed-form equations to calculate member-end rotation or moment, directly, comprising both shear and bending flexibility. Furthermore, the authors program the algorithm of Timoshenko beam theory cooperated with the finite element. Several numerical examples, conducted on the procedures, show that the method is superior in not only the dominant algorithm but also the preciseness of results.

  • Recently the compound material has interested in using the structural material as the bridge member assembly. It is the lighter material against existing construction material and has excellent durability and economy. The existing floor of bridge has its short period to repair and replace compared to other parts of the bridge with the pavement and the shoe. These deteriorations of usage and safety by aging and corrosion are needed frequent maintenance. The use of compound material as a structural member suggests solve these problems. So this thesis evaluates the static and the fatigue performance for whether there are fiber lamination direction and stress concentration section of FRP floor plate, the compound material.

측정 변위를 이용한 변형률 해석 (Strain Analysis by Measured Displacement Data)

  • 교량의 안전성과 사용성을 검토하기 위해서는 외적 하중에 대한 구조 부재의 거동 특성과 정확한 저항 능력 평가가 반드시 고려 되어야 한다. 구조 부재의 거동 특성과 저항능력을 평가하기 위해서는 구조물의 변형률과 변위가 반드시 측정 되어야 한다. 변형률 측정을 위해서 전기 저항식 변형률 게이지를 사용하는 것이 보통이다. 그러나 교량의 교각이 높고, 장지간을 갖는 경우 변형률 게이지 부착은 매우 어렵고 경제적이지 못하다. 또한 구조 부재에 균열이 많이 발생되어 있거나 습윤 상태라면 전기 저항식 변형률 게이지에 의한 변형률 계측은 추천할만한 방법이 못된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 단점을 보완 할수 있도록 측정 변위를 이용한 변형률 해석 알고리즘을 제안 하였다.

  • 내진설계는 타 설계의 요구사항, 즉 각 구조부재의 설계강도가 소요강도 이상이어야 한다는 것을 만족해야 하는 동시에 지진발생시 구조물의 항복과정을 규명하여 제시하여야 한다. 이러한 요구사항이 추가되는 이유는 타 하중과는 차별되는 지진하중의 불확실성이다. 이 연구에서는 일반교량을 해석대상교량으로 선정하고 연결부분의 설계를 수행하여 연성파괴메카니즘을 확보하는 과정을 제시하였다. 이와 같은 과정으로부터 구조부재의 강도 증가 또는 지진저감장치 도입 등의 비용증가 없이 타 설계에서 요구되는 구조부재의 강도 이내에서 내진성능을 확보할 수 있다는 것을 확인하였다.

HR Plate의 경량전철 협폭박스거더교 적용 (Application of Narrow Steel Box Girder Bridge of Light Rail Transit with HR Plate)

  • The HR Plates made hot rolled coils is lower than general structural steel plates in price. No difference between general steel plates and HR Plates with thickness up to 22mm are found in most characters such as cutting operation, fabrication and even welding. It can be concluded that HR Plates with thickness up to 22mm can be applied to flanges and webs of any girders as well as longitudinal ribs, longitudinal and vertical stiffeners of steel bridges appropriately. To increase the demand of HR Plates with thickness up to 22mm, it is necessary that HR Plates is applicable to full member in steel bridge including main girder.In this study, availabilities of the narrow steel box girder of light railway transit with HR Plate width as a main member are discussed. For application of HR Plate to steel bridge with 50m span or more, new support systems in three types are presented. Computational analysis is performed in 15 bridge models of light railway transit with beam element and plate element. As a analysis results, three models in light railway transit are presented. We finally come to the conclusion that HR Plates can be apply to narrow steel box girder in the light railway transit.

Rating of steel bridges considering fatigue and corrosion

  • In the present work, the capacity ratings of steel truss bridges have been carried out incorporating dynamic effect of moving vehicles and its accumulating effect as fatigue. Further, corrosion in the steel members has been taken into account to examine the rating factor. Dynamic effect has been considered in the rating procedure making use of impact factors obtained from simulation studies as well as from codal guidelines. A steel truss bridge has been considered to illustrate the approach. Two levels of capacity ratings- the upper load level capacity rating (called operating rating) and the lower load level capacity rating (called inventory rating) were found out using Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) method and a proposal has been made which incorporates fatigue in the rating formula. Random nature of corrosion on the steel member has been taken into account in the rating by considering reduced member strength. Partial safety factor for each truss member has been obtained from the fatigue reliability index considering random variables on the fatigue parameters, traffic growth rate and accumulated number of stress cycle using appropriate probability density function. The bridge has been modeled using Finite Element software. Regressions of rating factor versus vehicle gross weight have been obtained. Results show that rating factor decreases when the impact factor other than those in the codal provisions are considered. The consideration of fatigue and member corrosion gives a lower value of rating factor compared to those when both the effects are ignored. In addition to this, the study reveals that rating factor decreases when the vehicle gross weight is increased.

  • Railway bridge type has been mainly selected by a intersection of roads and rivers, and economy. Now a days, it is required that the bridge type is considered a harmony with circumstances, a beauty and an expression of symbol of regions because of the enlargement of bridge structures and the advance of people's consciousness level. So it is adopted arch bridge with fan type hanger for a outer beautiful sight and a symbol of development of regions as 80m intersection bridge of railway and former national road at pal hung bridge in jolla line lot 1. It is performed that an examination, a consultation, a design of member sections and a detail analysis of joint parts according to the basic design. It is also performed a dynamic analysis with design loads and train loads reflection on railway bridge characteristics and examined a safety and a propriety of design compare with a fatigue design and design rules.
