  • The break of rotary blade is occured from a stress concentration of the inside of blade by the outside impulsive load. In order to examine its inside stress and stress concentration of rotary blade, a epoxy plate which is suitable to applicate by photoelastic system is used to experiment. These results are summarized as follow. 1. Refer to the existence of bolt hole and a size of its of rotary blade, a stress concentration which cause the break of rotary blade is not exposed. 2. It is expected to be break to section of hold of rotary blade and the break of this is due to that there are concentrated by shearing force, bending moment and bending stress. 3. When the crack which caused from processing are set up to any location, the stress concentration taken to the creak point. 4. Without regard to the location of the reaction points of rotary blade, the bending stress which is greated than the bending moment is occured within about 6 em toward the center line of bolt hole and it was possible to break that section.

  • This paper was the research of high voltage suspension insulator (400 [kN]) including pottery stone, feldspar, clay and alumina of 17 [wt%]. The slurry was fabricated after ball milling mixed raw materials. Green compacts were made by the extrusion of jiggering method and were sintered at 1300[$^{\circ}C$] for 50 [min.] in the tunnel kiln. The sintered density was reached to 97% of theoretical density, and the bending strength was 1658 [k $g_{f}$/$\textrm{cm}^2$] and hardness and fracture toughness which was measured by ICL( indentation crack length ) method were 1658 (kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$) and 27.5 [Gpa], respectively. In measurement of tana and insulation break voltage of 400 (kN) porcelain, tan$\delta$ took some numerical value between 17${\times}$10$_{-3}$ and 61${\times}$10$_{-3}$ and insulation break voltage value was 19.9$\pm$1.4 [㎸/mm]. The test was performed to research whether the shape of pin affect a overvoltage break load or not As a consequence, when a pin was designed a pin diameter 51 [mm] with the bottom form of two-step constructed with straight in the suspension insulator, Insulator showed overvoltage break load 52 [ton] of the highest value and reflected a fine characteristic in aged deterioration test which is one of the accelerated aging test. Also it could be confirmed a fine characteristic through performing the test that electrical property of insulator was established correctly in accordance with IEC 60383-1 standards.s.

  • The effect of dynamic strain aging (DSA) on the leak-before-break (LBB) analysis was estimated through the evaluation of leakage-size-crack and flaw stability in SA106 Gr.C piping steel. Also. the results were represented as a form of "LBB allowable load window". In the DSA temperature region. the leakage-size-crack length was smaller than that at other temperatures and it increased with increasing tensile strain rate. In the results of flaw stability analysis. the lowest instability load appeared at the temperature corresponding to minimum J- R curve which was caused by DSA. The instability load near the plant operating temperature depended on the loading rate of J-R data. and decreased with increasing tensile strain rate. These are due to the strain hardening characteristic and strain rate sensitivity of DSA. In the "LBB allowable load window". LBB allowable region was the narrowest at the temperature and loading conditions where DSA occurs.

  • Mechanical break system used in train, that mixed air break & electronic break system. this system suggest lots of ways for modify efficiency and solution of environmental problems due to recently intend to green growth. The mechanical break system has environmental & economical problem. Environmental sides(problem) are dust and noise etc and economical sides(problem) are replaced the spare parts that are breaking shoe and lining ect. For compensate those kind of weak points, we needs a wide territories of electronic break which is from high speed range to stop. This research is estimated the load torque due to an incline and stop the train method also check the characteristic of stop the train to estimate a torque follow the sharp drop.

  • Fracture toughness was considered as one of the good estimates of the paper break tendency of paper web in the press room. Paper break on the paper machine is caused by many factors such as paper machine irregular vibrations, impurities in the fiber furnish, shives, and so on. On the paper machine, the solid content of paper web is changing very rapidly from less than 1% to over 95%. We tried to measure the fracture toughness of paper web at different solid contents for providing the fundamental knowledge of paper break. Stretches of wet web were also measured and compared to the fracture toughness changes. Four different fiber furnishes (SwBKP, HwBKP, ONP, and OCC) were refined to different degrees, and at different solid contents (40%, 60%, 80%, and 95%), their fracture toughnesses were measured. Two fracture toughness measurement methods (essential work of fracture and Tryding's load-widening method) were used, and we found they gave identical results. The stretch curves of the wet webs against the axis of solid contents were very similar to the fracture toughness curves of those.

  • The paper focuse on the effect of a crack subjects to collaspe behabiors of statically indeterminate beams under concentrated load. Through the experiment and calculation, it was revealed that the collaspe load of statically indeterminate beams is much higher than that of statically determinate beams. The cumulative AE event counts of statically determinate beams was less than that of statically indeterminate beams, and the center notch beams sas revealed less than that of the side notch beams.
