Formation of positive regional image is critically important in place marketing for regional development. This article considers Goryeong-Gun's policy agenda for regional development, analyzing its current regional image. In recent years, Goryeong-Gun has established its positive regional image of Daegaya in virtue of Daegaya Experience Festival. It should be highly evaluated. But, it has also some problems based on a certain local history or not supported by proper brand, slogan and logo to promote the image. In this point, Goryeong-Gun needs to rethink planning strategies related to Daegaya regional image. If necessary, Daegaya regional image would be expanded on the base of general value system.
A variety of sensory elements are used in video advertisements promoting products. Video advertising using visual and auditory elements is a representative means of marketing. The advertising video that promotes the product by using such a sensory element is imprinted on viewers by continuously or repeatedly exposing visual elements such as a logo or a specific image or phrase. Such visual images are used as an effective way to symbolize brand image effectively. If the visual elements were symbolized in the advertising images of most car brands, Kia's K5's advertising images symbolized auditory elements, or sounds, to produce K5's unique advertising images. In this paper, we compared Kia's K5 advertisement image symbolizing auditory elements with other brands' advertisement image of other companies, and studied the techniques and effects used in advertisement image production.
It is not easy to get more attention as a prominent advertising expression among various types of numerous advertisements. Due to the voluminous expansion of advertising communications and the change of the media, new advertising creatives must be needed for serving to differentiate the message , inviting audiences to participate more positively in advertising communications This thesis aims at reviewing the absence as an advertising creative. And this thesis is about the significations of the absence. Chapter I describes the aim of this thesis about the absence as an advertising creative And Chapter II introduces the general concept, perception of the absence and its possibilities as an advertising creative And also mentions about the absence as one of paradoxical expressions with rhetorical theories as well as semiotics. Chapter III deals with the signification of the absence with introducing semiotic methods such as the theory of R. Barthes Chapter IV discusses the signification of the absence as an advertising creative talking into consideration of semiotic theories. And I categorize the types of the absence in advertising expressions. The absence is categorized into 5 types in this thesis. Type (1) is the absence of product which is supposed to be advertised, type (2) is the absence of product and make product image located out of main image of an advertising expression for introducing features of a product itself. And type (3) is the absence of the imaginary audience to invite an audience to participate more spontaneously. Type (4) is the absence of headlines, and type (5) is the absence of almost all visual images and verbal message but a corporate symbol or brand logo. The signification of S types of the absence can be described on the basic of semiotic theories, especially the theory of R. Barthes. It's my hope that this thesis about the absence as an advertising creative will serve as the basic theory for the empirical research about advertising expressions containing images of the absence.
This study aims to analyze the patterns made with knitted jacquard and intarsia techniques to provide essential data to help plan different knitwear designs using the techniques and patterns. Packaging has played important function on marketing as a silent salesman. As an interface of consumer and products, packaging fulfills several functions such as protection, sales promotion, communication and convenience during the distribution process. For the appearance of self-service sales method, packaging could be regarded as important salesman influencing consumers' preference on shelf in the shop. In this study, Vitamin water was selected as the proper target product for lower impact of prices and brands. With previous studies, Vitamin water packaging elements were classified as 'packaging material', 'packaging shape', 'label color', 'logo layout', then each packaging element was consist of details. To measure the influence of each packaging element on consumers' preference quantitatively and to minimize respondent's subjective judgment, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used as a tool. Through AHP result, packaging element of the most influence on consumers' preference is 'label color (0.370)', and 'container shape (0.246)', 'container material (0.230)', 'logo layout (0.154)' was in order. Among the detail packaging element, 'plastic (0.405)' has the greatest influence in 'container material' and 'cylinder (0.423)' in 'container shape', 'magenta (0.329)' in 'label color', 'vertical layout (0.572)' in 'logo layout'.

This study is designed to analyze the effect of skincare using cosmetic containing ginseng extract, on improving quality of life (QOL) of healthy women, with blind testing. QOL is a concept that represents how one's disease or health condition can physically, psychologically, and socially influence his or her daily life. The study was conducted to assess the effect of a ginseng cosmetic preparation on quality of life (QOL) using the Skindex-16 score, stratified by blind versus non-blinded option. 45 healthy women aged between 30 and 49 years with no skin disease were recruited for this study. Volunteers were divided into two groups. Group A (n = 22) received anti-aging cream with ginseng extract in the original packaging, which included the brand name and logo. Group B (n = 23) received the same cream in a plain white jar without any package decoration or logo. Both groups used the cream for 8 weeks. For the skin-related QOL assessment, Skindex-16 was used at baseline, forth, and eighth week. All volunteers except two dropouts in Group A completed the dermatology-specific QOL measure, Skindex-16, at baseline, after 4 weeks, and after 8 weeks of treatment with the provided samples. As a result, the mean score of 43 participants at baseline was $22.70{\pm}4.82$. There was a significant difference between the baseline score and the score after 8 weeks in both groups: The scores changed from $23.30{\pm}5.14$ to $20.20{\pm}4.83$ in Group A, from $22.17{\pm}4.58$ to $20.52{\pm}3.60$ in Group B. The "Symptom" subscale of Skindex-16 improved after 4 weeks and the "Emotion" subscale improved after 8 weeks in Group A. The "Function" subscale did not show improvement in either groups. Both groups showed no interaction effect between follow up time and groups in Skindex-16 and subscale. This research opens up the possibility of skincare using ginseng cream having a positive effect on QOL in healthy women. Moreover, one can predict that skincare ritual itself may have greater impact on the improvement of QOL, compared to the product packaging.
