The purpose of this study is to investigate various information relating to research on the dimensions of clothing used in the sale of products via the internet that used to target global SPA((Specialty Store Retailer of Private Label Apparel) brands sold in Korea. A total of 12 SPA brands including seven global SPA brands and five national. SPA brands were surveyed in this study. Brands were chosen net sales and consumer preferences the last three years. In all SPA brands, literal size designation such as S, M, L and numeric size designation such as 0, 2, 4 or 32, 34, 36 etc. were mixed, but in case of Jean, the size codes mark waist circumference were dominant. European size codes were more common in case of European brands while literal codes were more dominantly used for American size codes with in the US brands. By reviewing the measurement information of the body and product size, the product measurement methods of UNIQLO, FOREVER 21 and TOPTEN were much more accountable and excellent than other brands. However, most of the others didn't offer proper information such as pictograms or figures about measurement methods relating body sizes and product sizes. In addition, most of global SPA brands offered size conversion chart which consumers could reference, however of none of the national SPA brands offered a conversion size chart on their website. Regardless of the type of clothing, the coverage of clothing size was higher than in global SPA brands such as H&M GAP compared to national SPA brands. This study suggests a strategy of providing apparel product information from the wearers' perspective on Internet shopping malls, as a way of compensating for the lack of opportunities to try on the actual product. On an actual Internet shopping mall that sells apparel product, the 'trial-experience information' (the experiential information provided by the fit models who tried on the products) was provided for 83 different items from four women's wear brands. The traffic and sales performances (number of visitors, page view, gross sales of goods, conversion rate, and the numbers of customer transactions) of the apparel product websites that contain trial-experience information were compared to the performances of the brand's websites before this information was implemented. The changes in percent contribution of these brands in women's wear category were also noted. The specific results are as follows: First, all the four performance measures as well as the percent contribution of the experiment products in women's wear category increased noticeably throughout the experiment period (11 to $103\%$). Second, when the percent contribution of these brands in women's wear category in terms of traffic and sales performances were compared to the previous year, these measures increased between $497\%\;and\;2851\%$. Third, the amount of customer transactions also increased after the trial-information was provided, yet to a relatively smaller extent $(29.04\%\;to\;55.25\%)$. The findings showed that trial-experience information provided on the Internet shopping malls may reduce customers' risk perception and lead to increased sales of apparel product and improve the site use ratio.
This research was undertaken to prove the relationship between street mall activation and architectural plan design. The research methodology was established based on the analysis of data of two existing street malls in Korea (Western Dome & LaFesta) and theoretical studies of outdoor space design. The findings from this study are the following: First, building blocks with segments in every 50m or so are ideal for detailed communication between visitors and building contents. Second, the ratio of width of main corridor and building height should be less than 1 to provide intimate feel and keep visitors' attention concentrated in the facility. Third, store unit should have more storefronts to be exposed more to passers-by and lead more pedestrian traffic. Fourth, shape of store unit would rather be wide and shallow, instead of narrow and deep, to have more exposure to the central corridor. Fifth, the building block of the busiest(most expensive) area that is usually at the main entrance area of street mall should be flexible to fit more smaller units to maximize the profitability. Sixth, the main entrance of store should face the main pedestrian corridor to induce the influx of visitors. Lastly seventh, anchor tenant that has strong name recognition is usually located on basement or higher level to induce pedestrian traffic into the mall, key tenants that are strong and familiar brand names should be located at the corner of building block with spacing to attract visitors, provide even distribution of traffic, and support wayfinding, and local tenant should be located at small units along the central corridor or remainder spaces occurred from building core layout.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the Muslim fashion that has recently appeared in the global fashion collection to see how the global fashion brand expresses Muslim's traditional costumes so as to provide references in design development to prepare for the larger Muslim fashion market in the future. In order to analyze Muslim fashion, keywords related to Muslims such as "Muslim," "Islamic fashion" and "hijab" were searched on Google, Samsung Design Net and Vogue websites, and a total of 370 fashion photos were selected for the final data, which was judged to reflect Muslim fashion styles after a review by four clothing experts. Muslim fashion styles have the following characteristics: Above all, the use of veils was most noticeable, with many T-shaped loose long tunic dresses. The hijab, which had the highest proportion of veils, was used to produce various images with wide range of materials and colors. Achromatic colors were the most common, but more than three colors were used to create an exotic image. There have also been cases of using direct religious images such as arabesque patterns and mosques and Muslim priests. As a final, Muslim fashion styles were studied follow: first, a unique style using a veil. Second, conservative style with minimal exposure, third, restrained long-and-lose fit style, fourth, exotic style by elaborate pattern. The domestic fashion industry is also expected to generate economic demand if it is designed with reference to such collection trends along with market research on Muslim consumers.
This study aims to classify the dimensions of the sales information of secondhand clothing goods on the C2C secondhand trading platform and to systematically analyze the components of each dimension. To this end, the NVivo 12.0 qualitative data analysis software was used. The content analysis showed that the sales information of secondhand clothing goods was classified into four dimensions: detailed information of the sale goods, information specific to secondhand clothing goods, seller opinion information, and service information. The components of each dimension were as follows. The detailed information of the sale goods included size, sale price, item, design, brand name, material, color, wearing season, fit, gender, etc. The information specific to secondhand clothing goods included the number of times the item was worn, its purchase history, and product condition. Seller opinion information included product review, sales motivation, notes for the transaction, coordination proposal, and usage proposal. The service information included the transaction mode, exchange·return·refund, and promotion. The frequency analysis showed that the highest frequencies were sale goods(37.47%), information specific to secondhand clothing goods(24.63%), seller opinion information(20.54%), and service information(17.37%). This study will help C2C secondhand trading platform managers or sellers establish clear standards for presenting sales information and developing ideas toward constructing differentiated platform contents.
This study analyzes current self-nail tips and nail-tip satisfaction. The study method selected from 3 domestic and 3 overseas companies analyzed current self-nail tips based on brand recognition and sales rate. A questionnaire was conducted on 261 adult women in their 20s and 50s about the satisfaction of nail care and self-nail tips. The results are as follows. As a result to analyze the current nail tips, there were products that did not contain the type of nail tip or the composition and ingredients of the glue. An online survey of the sizes of the current nail tips indicated differences in the sizing system method and that the presented sizes are different. The response rate was the highest for the survey results on why self-nail tips were preferred for respondents who prefer self-nail tips because the price was cheap. The reason why they did not prefer self-nail tips was that the degree of completeness was lower and the fitness was not good. In addition, it showed a high response rate in that the adhesive strength was poor and the size did not fit the nails. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a size for nail types by ergonomic design and develop a self-nail tip that can reduce nail damage.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences by comparing consumption tendency of the Flatfish and Salmon using focus group interview (FGI). The FGI was conducted on university students in their 20s, with a total of 38 respondents surveyed in seven focus groups. Flatfish was recognized as a food in the form of popular sliced raw fish and had customer image that fit for middle-aged men in their 40s and 50s while eating with alcohol. 20s were perceived to be out of date with their age group as flatfish was considered old fish that did not match their age. In addition, they felt low accessibility to flatfish. Salmon was perceived by 20s as a food with a higher appeal than flatfish. Salmon has been creating a brand identity in their 20s and 30s for fashionable and trendy food that appealed to younger generations. They considered characteristics of salmon high in intangible value, such as something sophisticated, trendy, and beautiful. 20s consumed various forms of salmon including salmon sushi, salmon bowl, and salmon fillet, and they perceived it as a psychologically close food that can be easily accessible. In this study, the color of species (orange color of salmon), accessibility, restaurant image, and social media exposure were found to influence the consumption patterns of two species.
