  • Previous researches on advertising type of extension product have limitations in focusing on adult and simplifying advertising type of extension product as elaborational/relational ad. This study expands to children and subdivides advertising type of extension product by elaborational/relational/elaborational-relational ad. Based on these experimental setting, this study investigates the effects of interaction between age and advertising type in incongruent brand extension. The results show that adult's evaluation on incongruent extension product is the most favorable in elaborational-relational ad. On the other hand, children's evaluation on incongruent extension product is the most favorable in elaborational ad. Based on these findings, theoretical and practical implication and future direction are discussed.

  • The purpose of this study was to assess whether mechanical sensory score by Toyo Midometer can be substituted by near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) method in whole-grain milled rice samples. Toyo values of collected commercial brand rice (n=127) had comparatively wide ranges from 62.9 to 84.2 (Mean=70.5; S.D.=4.0). Calibration equation was developed using 73 samples. Standard error of calibration (SEC) for sensory score equation and $R^2$ were 0.95, and 0.94, respectively, however, percentage of variation in the reference method values (1-VR) which give a true indication of equation performance was slightly lower (1-VR=0.81) than calibration equation. It was demonstrated that, even though NIRS has potential as a rapid tools to predict rice sensory score, the prediction of sensory score in rice by NIRS needs to be further investigation on a large number of sample with different varieties and growing locations.

The purpose of this study is to look into the relationships between brand equity and consumption intention from the perspective of Vietnamese customers of India's COVID-19 vaccine products. The head rice ratio of the domestic rice was 92%, which was similar with those of Unite State and Chinese but the Chinese parboiled rice was completely cracked during processing. The setback viscosity of domestic rice related to retrogradation was lower than those of the imported rice except United States. • Forces needed for orthodontic tooth movement are obtained from various appliances such as orthodontic wires or elastic rubber. Orthodontic elastic rubber is widely used clinically, but permanent deformation and force decay may occur from the environmental changes, time of clinical use and the extent of the stretch, making the Prediction of force being applied difficult. The Present study examined and compared the changes in residual force between three brands of elastomeric chains (Ormco Generation II Power Chains ; brand A, RMO : Energy-Chain ; brand B, Unitek : AlastiK ; brand C) under various environmental conditions, amount of initial force, types of elastomer and the rate of extension. The characteristic physical properies of the elastomeric chains were as follows. 1. In all three brands, the residual force ratio was largest when the chains were stored in air, with no difference between water and saliva. 2. In all three brands, after 24 hours, there was no statistical difference in residual force ratio according to the initial force level. 3. In Brand A and B, the presence of filament had no correlation with the residual force ratio. In Brand C force decay was more severe when the chain contained filament. 4. In each brand, rate of extension had no effect on residual force ratio. 5. Brand B showed relatively higher residual force ratio compared to other brands.
