As the result of this study, there are differences between the flagship stores and housing cultural centers. The major differences are as follows. First, the flagship stores offer variety of experiences in the store so people can enjoy a lot of unexpected programs whereas the housing cultural centers do not have ones. Second, the flagship stores have dramatic facades so that people want to enter the space even though they do not need to buy anything. However, the housing cultural centers do not have any exciting elements in the facade even most of them are located in the downtown. Moreover, people can have a lot of visual and emotional experiences in the flagship stores from unique merchandising display, changeable wallpapers, movable walls, etc. In other words, designers who are in charge of housing cultural centers should consider carefully to design both interior and facade. • With the advent of local autonomy, local governments are seeking balanced regional development through the decentralization of the central government's authority. In line with this trend, each province has begun to recognize the significance of local identity as a means to promote regional development, and this recognition contributed to developing various brands using local resources. However, a number of these brands are similar to one another because they were developed without thoroughly analyzing and strategically differentiating local identities from one another. Thus, this study aims to propose local characteristics and consumer consciousness that need to be considered in local speciality brand development through practical marine product brand development cases representing Yeosu's local characteristics. This study intends to contribute to setting an effective direction of marine product branding by applying local color to brand development strategies and brand identity elements and by suggesting post-management and promotion plans of local brand positioning.

  • This research used an experimental design in an effort to assess the influence of brand gender and salespeople on the attitudes toward brands according to the males' gender identity traits. The study used a three-way split-plot experimental design, and data were analyzed by t-tests, and ANOVA. The subject of this research was men in their 20s and 30s, and a total of 178 people were selected through convenience- sampling. The findings are as follows: first, masculine male consumers preferred masculinity fashion brands; however, androgynous consumers preferred brands that reflect androgyny. Second, there were no differences in brand attitude according to the gender of the salesperson for the masculinity group, but the androgynous group estimated the brands as better when the salesperson was female. Third, there were no differences in the brand attitudes among consumers according to gender of the salesperson for the Galaxy; however, for Solid Homme, brand preference was stronger when the salesperson was a woman. Fourth, the influence of brand gender and salesperson gender on brand attitudes differed according to the gender of the consumer. Therefore, apparel companies must clearly understand the characteristics of consumer gender identity and execute proper marketing strategies in order to induce stronger positive attitudes toward their brands. Moreover, apparel companies should perceive that brand gender and the gender of the salesperson can consequently encourage brand preferences.

  • With the increased quality of life, the meaning of houses is shifting from a functional space for the simple purpose of residing to a symbolic space representing life as personality. Starting with the advancement of IKEA into Korea last year, global brands are about to enter into Korea. As Korean brands are not certain about how to set their direction in the situation where global brands have rushed into the market, it was thought that a key to solve the problem could be found from the cases of the lifestyle stores of Japan, which is moving one step ahead of Korea. Considering the circumstances, the author limited the subjects of this study to the lifestyle stores that have already established their brand identity and have prominent expressional characteristics of interior design in Japan. Research and analysis were conducted through site inspection and books. As a study method, literature and previous research were reviewed to find the program characteristics of interactivity and participation, the spatial characteristics of accessibility and the expressional characteristics of symbolism, scene continuity and function complexity, as the basis for an analysis. The results of the analysis showed that Japanese lifestyle stores are appealing to consumers as the spaces with their own differentiated space composition and various programs, by establishing their unique concepts and explicit brand identity. It is expected that such expressional characteristics of interior design will be of help in defining the direction of interior design of Korean lifestyle stores in the future.

  • The purpose of this study was to determine whether foodservice brand language localization affects consumer attitudes in terms of similar brand image recognition with an original brand. Many global foodservice companies have tried to modify their own brand identity according to local situations in order to attract more consumers. According to this study's results, consumers who similarly recognized both the original brand image and localization brand image tended to have greater purchase intention than those who did not recognize them similarly. In addition, when the original brand identity was changed to the local language, consumers more similarly conceived the original brand image and localization. And for local store marketing, foodservice companies should have a thorough marketing research plan since there can be difference results according to brand name recognition gaps or demographic characteristics. Original brand image similarity recognition by consumers affected their attitudes. In other words, the group that similarly recognized both the original brand company image and the localization brand company image tended to have greater purchase intention. Because brand language plays an important role in consumer attitudes with respect to recognizing a brand and distinguishing another brand, this study suggests that franchise foodservice companies have a local store marketing plan.

Through it's differentiated marketing strategy targeting New York's market, which prefers popular 'luxury contemporary brand's rather than high-end luxury brands, this brand's creativity and commercial aspects contributed to make '3.1 Phillip Lim' into a luxury brand that represents New York fashion.
