브랜드개성이 기업이미지에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Brand Personality Effect on a Corporate Image)

  • This study examines the effect of brand personality on consumer's attitude. Previous research has suggested that the greater the congruity between consumer personalities and brand personalities, the greater the preference for the brand. However, empirical explorations of this hypothesis revealed that the congruity between consumer personalities and brand personalities is limitedly related, if ever, to the preference for the brand. It is partly because of the views of the previous researchers who considered human personality as a uni-dimensional concept, and partly because of the lack of consensus regarding what brand personality really is. This study examines the relative effect of brand personality on company image. In this study, brand personality is represented by the 'Big Five' factors - Sincerity, Excitement, Competence, Sophistication and Ruggedness - which were suggested by Jennifer Aaker.

  • Purpose - As society continues to develop and the economy grows, consumer participation in sports activities and consumption of sports-related goods are steadily increasing. Nowadays, Spyder, the sporting goods company has achieved great success in the Korean market. In the launching, Spyder tried to communicate the sport authentic brand value to consumers as successful sporting goods brands did. The purpose of this study is to identify the key factors influencing the successful branding strategies of sporting goods retailers. In the process of value trading to the consumer, the concept of authenticity which includes 'originality', 'truth' and 'genuine' is considered as one of the most important factor for branding. This study tries to define the brand authenticity in sporting goods retailer and to develop measurement scale. This study suggests a new paradigm for sports brand research and implications for management of domestic sporting goods retailer that is losing the direction to develop brand value. Research design, data, and methodology - This research consists of two parts of study. The first study is a qualitative research to define sport brand authenticity and measuring items through expert interviews. The second study is the development of scales to the authenticity. And reliability and validity of the scales are verified by quantitative methods. A total of 500 respondents were surveyed and the statistical tests were conducted by dividing two groups. Results - This study defines the authenticity of sports brand which is divided into four dimensions; behavioral authenticity, performance authenticity, spiritual authenticity and virtuous authenticity. And this newly defined four dimensions measurement tool is proved statistically in this study in terms of reliability and validity. Conclusions - For the success of sporting goods retailers, it is important to understand the value of sport and to communicate it with customers effectively. This study suggests a tool for sport brand authenticity and also significant implications for brand strategies. In addition, every entity which is related with sport can apply the measurement scale of this study to understand their position and find direction in terms of authentic sport value.

소비자 평가에 기초한 의류 상표 자산 (Clothing Brand Equity Based on consumer Evaluation)

  • Brand equity is the added value endowed by the brand to the product. This concept born in the 1980's has aroused intense interest among market managers and business strategists from a wide variety of industries. Brand equity can be approached in different perspectives according to the motivations and the objectives of the studies. Consumer-based brand equity is examined internally by consumers' cognition and feeling and externally by consume behavior in the market By analyzing the relationship between them we can understand how brand value is made in the mind of consumers and how it is converted into the consumer behavior,. The brand is an especially important extrinsic cue in clothing products and the apparel industry has higher brand equity when it is actually compared with the brand equity of many other industries measured as a financial asset. Therefore the purpose of this study was to find out brand value of clothing products through clothing brand equity and to understand consumer behavior of the brand. And so we focused in consumer-based brand equity. For the empirical study three brands that are predicted to have different level of brand equity were selected based on prices and market shares of the brands. As the result the consumer-based brand equity is composed of emotional and cognitive dimensions and each dimension has several sub-dimensions. These diverse dimensions of brand equity bring about differences in consumers' purchase behavior market share and price premium of brands.

  • 본 연구는 경쟁이 심한 화장품 시장에 새롭게 뛰어들어 빅데이터 분석을 활용하여 브랜드 컨셉을 개발한 기업의 사례를 소개하고 있다. 안티에이징 관련 좋은 원재료 기술을 보유한 스킨리버스랩은 기능성화장품 시장에 새롭게 브랜드를 출시하였다. SNS 데이터를 화장품에 대한 소비자 태도, 기능성화장품에 대한 소비자 태도, 기능성화장품의 대표 경쟁사 분석, 소비자의 제품 사용 경험 등의 4가지 측면에서 분석하여 로지컬리스킨이라는 매력적인 브랜드 컨셉을 개발하였다. AI 기반 빅데이터 분석 툴인 루미노소를 이용하여 맥락 기반의 감성분석, 연관어 분석, 워드클라우드 분석 등을 통해 소비자에 대한 인사이트를 도출하였다. 로지컬리스킨은 유명잡지나 앱에서 다수의 상을 수상하며 글로벌 트랜드 기준에 부합한 제품으로 인정을 받았고, 미국, 홍콩을 포함한 6개 국가에 진출하였다. 로지컬리스킨 사례는 외부 데이터 만으로 소비자 인사이트를 도출하여 신생 기업이 신규 브랜드로 시장에 진출한 사례이며, AI 기반 감성 분석을 적용한 사례로서 의의가 있다.

외식브랜드의 웹사이트 컬러분석에 관한 연구 - 패밀리 레스토랑 홈페이지를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Website Color Analysis of the Foodservice Brand: Concentrated on Homepage of Family Restaurants)

  • The color and its coordination should intensify the customer's memory and awareness in a brand website, through the consistent communication strategy by which a variety of brand identification in the offline could be expressed efficiently. We evaluated top 5 brand-valuable family restaurants in this study, how they made the best use of the website as a new communication channel, and how they constructed the brand identification by the coloring of a website. We found out that they employed colors with a dynamic and lilting feelings matching the concept of a family restaurant. In addition, A color scheme was well designed for the specific character of a brand, though web-safe colors were seldom employed. This report can be a guide to a corporation for the color and its coordination in the website, when existing brand images need to be intensified and enhanced, or when a new brand image need to be constructed.

  • This study tries to find how architects interpret and express fashion brand images. First, it examines the concept of brand images and its architectural expression of them in contemporary commercial architecture. Second, it investigates the brand strategies and architectural expression strategies of world-famous fashion brand companies such as Prada and Louis Vuitton. Third, it finds out architects' expression of the brand strategies focusing on Rem Koolhaas, Herzog & do Meuron, Jun Aoki, Barthelemy-Grino, Kumiko Inui. In conclusion, architects have their own expression tools for fashion brand images but the extent of expression vanes according to each brand strategy.

부정적 정보에 대한 패션브랜드 면역에의 영향요인과 브랜드 몰입과의 관계 연구 (Antecedents of Fashion Brand Immunity to Negative Information and Impact on Brand Commitment)

  • This study examines how brands can be managed to influence the degree of their resistance to negative information and the extent to which this immunity to negative information predicts the purchase intention of consumers. In particular, the study investigated the difference between brand commitment and brand immunity on negative information in terms of the concept and the power of influence. A total of 410 usable questionnaires were obtained through an internet survey. A structural equation model using a correlation matrix with maximum likelihood was estimated using AMOS 18.0 to examine the relationship among a brand's social responsibility, quality orientation, brand innovativeness, easy purchase intention, and difficult purchase intention. The results showed that brand's social responsibility had significant effects on brand immunity to negative information while quality orientation and brand innovativeness had significant effects on brand commitment. In addition, brand immunity had significant effects on brand commitment and then brand commitment had a significant effect on easy and difficult purchase intentions. The key implications for research and management are discussed.

  • Brand Equity plays a major role in the highly competitive Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) industry in India. There are a variety of factors which affect the brand equity that a company commands in the market. Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) is an emerging concept in marketing wherein all the major promotional activities are used to create a synergic output and send across a clear and consistent message to the customers. This study aims to find out the impact of five major tools of IMC namely Advertising, Word of Mouth, Sales Promotion, Event Sponsorships and Public Relations which are most applicable in the QSR industry on the four major dimensions namely Brand Awareness, Brand Association, Perceived Quality and Brand Loyalty which aid in creating Brand Equity. The study was conducted by collecting data from a sample and analyzing the data using statistical tools to find any relationships between the above mentioned variables. The findings suggest that marketers should focus on building favorable opinion about the brand amongst customers and take care regarding the news published about the brand since it affects brand image. Moreover, it was also found out that making people aware about the brand and the perceived quality about the brand play the major role in creating brand equity more than other factors.

Antecedents and Consequences of Brand Hate Among Netizens: Empirical Evidence from Vietnam

  • In the era of tough competition, the customer's emotional attachment to brand plays a vital role to the successes and failures of enterprises. Specifically in the case of doing business online, brands have to cope with the troubles of rising from brand hate as brand avoidance, negative word of mouth and brand retaliation. Traditionally, the brand communication is very hard to control and with online communities, the problems tend to be even more severe. This paper aims to explore and discuss the core concept, the driven factors and the actionable consequences of brand hate among netizens. A total of 358 valid responses were obtained from surveys taken from the internet users across the nation. Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was conducted using Smart PLS to assess the hypotheses. The result shows that the expression of brand hate among netizen consists of active hate and passive hate. Deficit value, deceptive advertising, negative past experience and ideology incompatibility have been confirmed as influencing factors on customers' brand hate emotion. Then brand hate itself causes the customer's actionable outcomes such as brand avoidance, brand negative word of mouth and brand retaliation. Along with the theoretical contributions and managerial implications have been recommended for enterprises to avoid netizens' brand hate.

소비자-브랜드 관계형성에 있어 브랜드의인화의 역할 (The Role of Brand Personification in Building Consumer-Brand Relationship)

  • 본 연구는 소비자-브랜드 관계와 제품관계 형성에 있어 의인화의 역할에 대해 검토 하였다. 실제 Blackston(1993)이 제안한 '사람-사람'의 파트너 관계로 설명하기 위해서는 우선적으로 브랜드 자체를 무생물적 대상(inanimate object)이 아닌 파트너로서 정의해야 한다. 이를 위해서는 브랜드의 의인화가 먼저 이루어져야 한다는 점에서 과연 소비자가 과연 브랜드를 관계를 맺을 수 있는 대상으로 여기는지에 대한 검증이 필요하다는 것이다. 연구결과, 브랜드 의인화는 브랜드 관계 형성에 상대적으로 중요한 역할을 하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 브랜드 체험에 비해 그 역할의 중요도가 훨씬 낮았다. 과거연구에서는 브랜드 의인화, 브랜드 개성, 브랜드 동일시 등등이 브랜드 관계의 중요한 선행변수였지만 이러한 브랜드 의인화의 측정항목은 실제 인간의 여러 가지 특성을 나타내는 것이었지 한 사람의 인간을 나타낸 것은 아니었다. 결국, 부분적 인간의 특성을 브랜드가 가지게 되는 것은 사실이지만 한 사람의 인간으로 브랜드를 생각하는 것의 빈도는 그렇게 높지 않을 수 있다. 둘째, 브랜드 관계와 제품관계의 차이점에 대해 논의하였는데 실제 많은 소비자들이 브랜드에 상관없는 내가 오래 운행하여 정든 차, 나와 친구 같은 핸드폰 단말기를 의인화하는 것을 보여주었기에 이에 대한 개념구분의 필요성이 있다고 생각되었다. 그리하여 브랜드 관계로 해석한 집단들과 제품관계로 해석한 집단들 간의 브랜드 관계형성에 관한 모형의 차이를 통해 좀 더 심층적인 브랜드 관계전략을 제시하고자 하였다. 검증결과 본 연구의 조사결과, 브랜드를 의인화한 소비자는 10%도 되지 않았으며 그 역할도 대부분은 친구 등에 국한되었으며 내가 가진 제품을 많이 의인화하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 점에서 브랜드관계에서 특정한 브랜드에 대한 애착과 내가 쓰고 있는 제품(브랜드 명에 상관없이)에 대한 애착은 구분되어 다루어진다면 좀 더 차별화된 마케팅전략을 수립하는데 도움이 될 수 있다고 생각된다.
