CFD를 이용한 중형 경비정의 속도성능 평가 (A Study on the Speed Performance of a Medium Patrol Boat using CFD)

  • 본 논문의 주 목적은 프루드 수가 0.5 이상인 중형 경비정의 속도성능을 모형시험 이전에 CFD 결과를 바탕으로 기존의 모형시험자료를 활용하였다. 모형시험 이전에 CFD를 이용하여 선속 별로 추정된 제동마력이 주어진 엔진마력을 만족하는지를 평가 하였다. 대상선박은 선미가 서로 다른 두 가지 선형을 선정하였다. 점성 유동장 계산은 상용 CFD 코드인 STAR-CCM+를 사용하였으며, 자유수면과 자세 변화(동적 트림)를 모두 고려하였다. 알몸 선체의 저항 값은 CFD를 이용하여 추정되었다. 점성 유동 해석을 통해 두 가지 선형의 자유수면 파형, 압력분포, 한계유선 그리고 프로펠러 면에서의 속도분포를 비교하였다. 점성 유동 해석 결과를 바탕으로 두 가지 선형에 대한 유효마력 즉, 저항성능을 평가하였다. 부가물 부착에 따른 저항 증가량과 준추진효율 계수(ETAD, ${\eta}_D$)는 모형시험 자료를 활용하였다. 중형 경비정과 같은 고속선박에 관한 속도성능 추정법이 CFD와 기존 시험자료를 이용하여 개발되었다.

자동차 제조 사업장 근로자들의 석면 취급 이력 추정 (Estimation of the Asbestos Handling History of Workers in the Automobile Manufacturing Industry in Korea)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to evaluate asbestos handling history of workers at automobile manufacturing plants in Korea. Methods: National regulations on asbestos and Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency(KOSHA) database on the information of asbestos containing products were reviewed. We investigated asbestos related materials from one automobile manufacturing plant. Material safety data sheets(MSDS) collected in 2010, work environment monitoring results reported from 2000 to 2013, trade union reports and asbestos survey reports were reviewed. We also interviewed workers with long career and did walk-through survey. Results: The Ministry of Labor in Korea has permitted asbestos manufacturing since 1990. In 1997, the use of crocidolite and amosite asbestos were banned. In 2007, the Korean government announced a total ban on the manufacturing, importation and use of all kinds of asbestos, which took full effect in 2009. A total of 174 asbestos products information from KOSHA database was analyzed. Extruded cement panel for building, special brake for crane farm machinery, gasket, joint sheet and thermal insulator were produced until 2007. From automobile manufacturing plant survey, we confirmed that asbestos containing materials(ACM) such as gasket, heating induction materials have been used until 2011. Asbestos containing building materials(ACBM) such as bamlites, slate and ceiling tex were reported at 122 asbestos dismantling projects in 2014. Conclusion: Although the use of all kinds of asbestos were banned from 2009, ACMs and ACBMs installed before 2009 were still found at automobile manufacturing plant until 2011 and 2014 respectively. In particular, asbestos slates should be managed because most of slates had not been removed until 2014.

LPG 엔진에서 수소첨가에 따른 배기 성능과 열효율에 미치는 영향 (Effects of hydrogen-enriched LPG fuelled engine on exhaust emission and thermal efficiency)

  • The purpose of study is to obtain low-emission and high-efficiency in LPG engine with hydrogen enrichment. The test engine was named heavy-duty variable compression ratio single cylinder engine (VCSCE). The fuel supply system provides LPG/hydrogen mixtures based on same heating value. Various sensors such as crank shaft position sensor (CPS) and hall sensor supply spark timing data to ignition controller. Displacement of VCSCE is $1858.2cm^3$. VCSCE was runned 1400rpm with compression ratio 8. Spark timing was set MBT without knocking. Relative air-fuel ratio(${\lambda}$) of this work was varied between 0.76 and 1.5. As a result, i) Maximum thermal efficiency occurred at ${\lambda}$ value 1.0. It was shown that thermal efficiency was increased approximately 5% with hydrogen enrichment at same ${\lambda}$ value. ii) Engine-out carbon monoxide (CO) emissions were decreased at a great rate under LPG/hydrogen mixture fuelling. iii) Total hydrocarbon (THC) emission was much exhausted in rich zone, same as CO. But THC was exhausted a little bit more in lean zone. iv) Finally, engine-out oxides of nitrogen (NOx) was increased with ${\lambda}$ value 1.0 zone at a greater rate with hydrogen enrichment due to high adiabatic flame temperature.

Early Phase Contingency Trajectory Design for the Failure of the First Lunar Orbit Insertion Maneuver: Direct Recovery Options

  • To ensure the successful launch of the Korea pathfinder lunar orbiter (KPLO) mission, the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) is now performing extensive trajectory design and analysis studies. From the trajectory design perspective, it is crucial to prepare contingency trajectory options for the failure of the first lunar brake or the failure of the first lunar orbit insertion (LOI) maneuver. As part of the early phase trajectory design and analysis activities, the required time of flight (TOF) and associated delta-V magnitudes for each recovery maneuver (RM) to recover the KPLO mission trajectory are analyzed. There are two typical trajectory recovery options, direct recovery and low energy recovery. The current work is focused on the direct recovery option. Results indicate that a quicker execution of the first RM after the failure of the first LOI plays a significant role in saving the magnitudes of the RMs. Under the conditions of the extremely tight delta-V budget that is currently allocated for the KPLO mission, it is found that the recovery of the KPLO without altering the originally planned mission orbit (a 100 km circular orbit) cannot be achieved via direct recovery options. However, feasible recovery options are suggested within the boundaries of the currently planned delta-V budget. By changing the shape and orientation of the recovered final mission orbit, it is expected that the KPLO mission may partially pursue its scientific mission after successful recovery, though it will be limited.

더블 브레이디드 로프를 이용한 지중 케이블 포설시 견인 데이터 수집 장치 설계 (Traction device designed to collect data on underground cabling with threaded rope double braided)

  • 대단위 아파트나 공장 또는 주택 및 상가들이 증가함으로 인해, 전기실로부터 연결되는 케이블의 길이가 늘어나게 되고, 전력의 소모도 증가하게 되어 케이블의 두께 또한 점차 굵어지는 추세이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이러한 케이블을 포설하고자 하는 지하의 관로 내에 더블 브레이디드 로프를 삽입하여 케이블을 설치하고, 포설시 케이블의 장력, 거리 및 속도 등의 다양한 종류의 데이터를 안정적으로 수집 할 수 있는 프로그램을 설계하고, 이를 하드웨어제작을 통해 샘플 데이터를 취득 하였다. 이를 통해 기존의 기계식 포설 장비 대비 작업인원의 대폭감소와 작업시간의 단축을 확인하였으며, 또한 정확한 작업 데이터를 확보하여 사후 관리 및 평가에 활용하므로 인해 신뢰도를 향상하는 등의 성과를 확인하였다.
