This study aimed to verify the healing effect through brain and pulse wave analyses before and after a forest walk to the university students. Bio-signals of brain and pulse waves were measured using Omnifit Mindcare. After analyzing four brain wave items such as concentration and four pulse wave items such as heart health, it is identified that the stress level of university students was higher than that of the general public, and the brain stress level was approached to the normal range for 19 people with clear improvement. For pulse waves, a statistically significant decrease in sympathetic nerve activity (%) was confirmed. Although the slight fluctuations within the normal range were caused by short term and individual differences, it showed that the forest walking is partially effect on the relieving stress.
This study attempted a new approach to the methods of identifying the scientifically giftedness in relation to the recent emphasis on the education for the scientifically gifted. This study focused on the processes of the cognition achievements, while only the results have been studied until now. Theoretical backgrounds about the ways of identifying the gifted, the research procedures about brain functions, and the information procedures about brain data were reviewed. Eleven scientifically gifted and 10 normal children from the 4th to the 6th grades were selected to analyze the characteristics of their brain waves with brain wave measuring instrument for PCs. The results showed that the scientifically gifted, while studying scientific and creative problems, used their right brain more than their left. When solving these problems, they utilized more of their theta and alpha brain waves than those normal children. In addition, theta brain waves of the scientifically gifted were rather active during these activities and this phenomenon was more distinctive in their right brain rather than their left. Thereby, this study implies that the characteristics of brain waves during the moments of solving certain problems can be used as a method to identify the scientifically gifted.

Shiro-abhyanga is one of treatments of Ayurveda, which is the ancient system of health care and medicine in India. In this essay, I examined the effect of Shiro-abhyanga for relaxing stress of women in twentieth by the means of the brain wave test. The brain wave test showed that Shiro-abhyanga reduced Delta and Theta waves of the left brain but increased $\alpha$, SMR, Low-$\beta$ waves of the right brain. Delta and Theta waves are usually found in sleeping time. Their high measurement in awakening instructs the stress and depressing situations of objects. However the treatment of Shiro-abhyanga made the decrease of Delta and Theta waves and the increase of Alpha wave in working time. Alpha wave appears while objects are comfortable and peaceful from the relaxation of body and mind. Therefore the growth of Alpha wave says that the treatment of Shiro-abhyanga has an effect on mitigation of stress.

Background: Although cranial electrotherapy stimulation (CES) is reported to have positive effects on mental functions such as depression and sleep improvement, detailed studies regarding awakening, attention and concentration among brain waves reflecting brain activity are lacking. Objective: To examine the effects of cranial electrotherapy stimulation (CES) on various electroencephalograms (EEGs) reflecting brain activities. Design: Randomized controlled clinical trial (single blind) Methods: This study selected 30 healthy adult women in their 20s who volunteered for this experiment. A total of 30 subjects were randomly assigned to three groups (Sham group, 0.5 Hz CES group, and 100 Hz CES group). EEGs were measured before and after the single CES, and the results were compared and analyzed. Results: The relative theta, alpha, and gamma waves indicated no significant differences in the interaction effects between time and group. The relative fast alpha wave only showed significant differences in the interaction effects between time and group in P4. The relative slow beta wave only indicated statistically significant differences in the interaction effects between time and group in T3 and T4. The relative mid and fast beta waves showed statistically significant differences in the interaction effects between time and group in all areas. Conclusions: These results suggest that a CES of 0.5 Hz awakens consciousness and has a positive influence on brain activity, while a CES of 100 Hz has a positive influence on thinking activity accompanying mental load during concentrating on one subject.

Many researchers are studying brain activity to using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI), Time Resolved Spectroscopy(TRS), Electroencephalography(EEG), and etc. They are used detection of seizures or epilepsy and deception detection in the main. In this paper, we focus on emotion recognition by recording brain waves. We specially use fMRI, TRS, and EEG for measuring brain activity Researchers are experimenting brain waves to get only a measuring apparatus or to use both fMRI and EEG. This paper is measured that we take images of fMRI and TRS about brain activity as human emotions and then we take data of EEG signals. Especially, we focus on EEG signals analysis. We analyze not only original features in brain waves but also transferred features to classify into five sections as frequency. And we eliminate low frequency from 0.2 to 4Hz for EEG artifacts elimination.
Cancer patients have been suffered from the instability of mind/body and unbalanced homeostasis because of cancer progression and medical treatment such as chemotherapy, It is very important that appropriated actions can be promptly taken by monitoring cancer patients' mental conditions. For this reason, it is crucial to develop a monitoring method which is convenient and not harmful to their body. Brain-computer-interface(BCI) system is introduced for the purpose in this paper. Prefrontal brain waves of cancer patients and control groups have been measured by a portable neurofeedback(NF) system based on self-regulation of the human electroencephalogram(EEG). The NF system consists of the portable EEG amplifier and a headband with dry electrodes placed on Fp1 and Fp2 sites. Patterns of the prefrontal brain waves taken by computer are correlated to brain quotients by EEG-analysis program. Basic rhythm quotient, attention quotient, emotional quotient, anti-stress quotient and correlation quotient of control group have shown high significant level compared with the cancer patients group. On the other hand, the EEG patterns analysis is shown its possibility to be an important methodology of monitoring cancer patients' condition.
This study was conducted to examine the effects of care farming activities on the brain waves of adults with developmental disabilities from September 2022 to December 2022, with a total of 16 sessions held once a week. For 28 adults with developmental disabilities, 15 participants in the care farm program and 13 participants who did not participate were used as the control group. Before and after the care farming activities, participants' self-esteem, happiness levels, and brain function indices were measured through surveys and electroencephalography (EEG). Consequently, the self-esteem of the participants in the experimental group significantly increased after the activity, and as for the brain function index, the left brain activity index related to stress, attention, brain function, and emotional state increased compared to the control group in the experimental group of adults with developmental disabilities, especially intellectual disabilities. Notably, the effect of care farming activities was greater for women than for men with intellectual disabilities. Therefore, considering the differential effects of care farming activities based on the type of developmental disability and sex, it is deemed advantageous to primarily apply these activities to women with intellectual disabilities in order to maximize the healing effect of care farming.

Previous studies show that driver mental workload plays a significant role in the occurrence of traffic accidents. This study also analyzes driving workload under different road conditions especially with the brain wave data collected by a driving simulator. We use a logistic regression model to explain the relationship between driving workload and gamma brain waves. The results show that beta band of brain waves becomes broader with more curved sections while alpha band and gamma band become narrower. Since driving workload is negatively correlated with gamma band, it can be concluded that driving condition with less curved section is beneficial for reducing driving stress and increasing driving comfort.
The brain is one of the most complex systems in nature. Brain waves, or the "EEG", are electrical signals that can be recorded from the brain, either directly or through the scalp. The kind of brain wave recorded depends on the behavior of the animal, and is the visible evidence of the kind of neuronal (brain cell) processing necessary for that behavior. But, EEG had been considered as a virtually infinite-dimensional random signal. However, nonlinear dynamics light on dynamical aspects of the human EEG. The methods of nonlinear dynamics provide excellent tolls for the study of multi-variable, complex system such as EEG. In this study, 20 persons seperated in 2 groups were examined with EEG, one group stimulated on specific area of the sole of the foot with footbed inside the shoes. This experiment resulted in at the group stimulated on specific area of the sole of the foot correlation dimension of P4 and O1 channels increased significantly. Therefore. we obserbed that stimulation on specific area of the body had a constant effections on the specific channels.

In this study, tests of brain waves were carried out to investigate the driver's physiological characteristics by the change of the headlight. The participants were 20 men in their 20s and twenty-three different conditions in combinations of waveform of light, voltage, and alteration time were used. The measurement of the brain waves was performed by internationally standardized 10-20 method using LXE3232-RF. The results were analyzed by Power Spectrum Analysis using alpha-, and beta-wave and by the analysis of different brain domains using Brain wave Map. The results were as follows. 1. From the results of the Brain wave Map analysis, it was suggested that A waveform increases mental stress and B waveform affects mental and visual stress. The longer the stimulation time, the more stress level was detected. 2 The voltage alteration time of B waveform should be kept less than 1500msec, and the voltage should not fall below 11.5V.
