Objective: This study aimed to compare the frictional force (FR) in self-ligating brackets among different bracket-archwire angles, bracket materials, and archwire types. Methods: Passive and active metal self-ligating brackets and active ceramic self-ligating brackets were included as experimental groups, while conventional twin metal brackets served as a control group. All brackets were maxillary premolar brackets with 0.022 inch [in] slots and a $-7^{\circ}$ torque. The orthodontic wires used included 0.018 round and $0.019{\times}0.025$ in rectangular stainless steel wires. The FR was measured at $0^{\circ}$, $5^{\circ}$, and $10^{\circ}$ angulations as the wire was drawn through the bracket slots after attaching brackets from each group to the universal testing machine. Static and kinetic FRs were also measured. Results: The passive self-ligating brackets generated a lower FR than all the other brackets. Static and kinetic FRs generally increased with an increase in the bracket-archwire angulation, and the rectangular wire caused significantly higher static and kinetic FRs than the round wire (p < 0.001). The metal passive self-ligating brackets exhibited the lowest static FR at the $0^{\circ}$ angulation and a lower increase in static and kinetic FRs with an increase in bracket-archwire angulation than the other brackets, while the conventional twin brackets showed a greater increase than all three experimental brackets. Conclusions: The passive self-ligating brackets showed the lowest FR in this study. Self-ligating brackets can generate varying FRs in vitro according to the wire size, surface characteristics, and bracket-archwire angulation.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the shear bond strength of three kinds of different ceramic brackets with three different bonding adhesives. 5 specimens for each combination were tested for shear bond strength using Instron and for fracture site using SENL And 3 specimens were cross-sectioned for SEM examination of bonding pattern between bracket, resin and enamel surface. The results were as follows 1. The shear bond strength of chemical curing adhesives were higher than that of light curing adhesives. 2. The shear bond strength of Starfire bracket, chemical-bonded type, was lower than that of Transcend bracket, mechanical-bonded type, and Fascination bracket, combined type. 3. Fracture site of each bracket and tooth surface was examined under a light optical stereoscopic microscope, Transcend groups were mainly at the E/R intderface. Fascination groups were mainly at the COMB interface and Starfire groups were mainly at the R/B interface.
As the corner of wooden pagoda forms the roof by closely bordering left and right eaves on the various purlins and angle rafters, it is designed for every face to be recognized as front whose structure system increases load to bear proportionally. The corner of wooden pagoda is inseparable with the corner bracket set as it becomes stable thanks to the corner bracket set structurally and load burden under restrained structure makes the corner bracket set really important. Accordingly, this study could figure out some facts by analyzing corner bracket sets of Palsangjeon of Beobjusa Temple in Korea, Seokgatap of Bulgungsa Temple in China and Ojungtap of Beobryungsa Temple in Japan which were constructed with pure wooden structure. This study demonstrated that corner bracket set played a pivotal role in keeping balance of concentrated load of corner (corner of opening) in each floor that contributed to the stability of wooden pagoda structurally despite multiple duplications of floors and also figured out the outfit of corner bracket set was subject to the floor type and the cross section of Gongpo installed on top of Pyeongju. Wooden pagodas in 3 countries were two floor types of octagon and square, and employed different connection method between upper and lower floors. The difference between floor and duplication method determines the method of corner, but even different methods were sufficient to have entirety in every side by completing dynamic principle of corner bracket set even though old method had to solve the problem of concentrated load and it also confirms that it was essential Gongpo to prevent any deformation of corner.

In this study, a mock powder room was installed with variable LED lighting environments in order to conduct the experiments. The experimental conditions include luminaire type, illuminance ratio, vertical illuminance and color temperatures. The evaluation methods used were the Semantic Differential Method and a subjective evaluation on activities through observation. The SD evaluation result factor analysis categorizes ideas into three factors: brightness, emotion, and glare. The vertical bracket or the combined luminaire (luminous panel+ Vertical bracket) has better brightness than luminous panel. A vertical illuminance of 500lx is not significantly difference as compared to 600lx, allowing 500lx to be considered standard. The emotional atmosphere is evaluated as being better at lower color temperature. The luminous panel is the best for reducing glare while the vertical bracket is the worst. The best conditions differ according to the illuminance ratio of the luminous panel and vertical bracket. In the subjective evaluation (satisfaction with lighting environment, suitability to activity) the combined luminaire and 4000K received the best evaluation.
In [9], Kauffman introduced virtual knot theory and generalized many classical knot invariants to virtual ones. For example, he extended the Jones polynomials $V_K(t)$ of classical links to the f-polynomials $f_K(A)$ of virtual links by using bracket polynomials. In [4], M. Goussarov, M. Polyak and O. Viro introduced finite type invariants of virtual knots. In this paper, we give a necessary condition for a virtual knot invariant to be of finite type by using $t(a_1,{\cdots},a_m)$-sequences of virtual knots. Then we show that the higher derivatives $f_K^{(n)}(a)$ of the f-polynomial $f_K(A)$ of a virtual knot K at any point a are not of finite type unless $n{\leq}1$ and a = 1.
The purpose of the present study was to seek bracket-adhesive combinations which have adequate bond strength with no enamel and bracket fracture. The shear bond strengths were measured, the sites of failure and the enamel damage were investigated and the peripheral sealing and adaptation between enamel surface, bonding adhesive and bracket were evaluated. 240 noncarious human premolars were divided into twenty four groups of ten teeth. Shear bond strengths of each group were determined in an universal testing machine after two days passed and the debonded specimens were inspected to determine the predominant bond failure sites. To evaluate peripheral sealing and adaption between enamel surface, adhesive and bracket, each specimen was cut longitudinally into two halves which included the midsection of the bracket, adhesive and enamel and exmined in scanning electron microscope. Six different types of brackets were bonded to the tooth with four different type of adhesives. Six different types of brackets were Image, Plastic, Crystaline, Fascination, Transcend 2000 and metal bracket and four different adhesives were No-mix, Light-Bond, OrthoLC and Superbond C&B. From this study, it may be concluded that (1) The mean shear bond strength varied from a high of 36.58 Kg (410.07 Kg/$cm^2$) with the Fascination-Light Bond combination group to a low of 8.93 Kg (75.51 Kg/$cm^2$) with theImage-OrthoLC combination group. When using OrthoLC as adhesive, the mean shear bond strength was significantly lower than that of other combination groups, (2) Regardless of adhesives, the mean shear bond strength of Fascination brackets was relatively high whereas Plastic and Image brackets had low shear bonding strength. The shear bond strength of Crystaline bracket and Transcend 2m was relatively equal to or lower than that of metal bracket, (3) There was a correlation between bond strength, enamel damage and bracket fracture. As the shear bond strength was increased, the rate of enamel damage and bracket fracture were increased, (4) The combination groups that use OrthoLC as adhesive were debonded in shear stress without enamel fracture and bracket fracture, whereas the combination groups that use Superbond C&B as adhesive experienced a relative high enamel fracture rate and bracket fracture rate, (5) Peripheral sealing and adaptation between enamel-adhesive-bracket were relatively good when using Light-Bond or No-mix as adhesive. Regardless of adhesives, adaptation between bracket-adhesive were relatively good in Ceramic brackets, (6) The combination groups which had adequate bonding strength with no enamel and bracket fracture were Crystaline-No mix, Crystaline-Light Bond, Crystaline-OrthoLC, metal-No mix, metal-Light Bond and metal-OrthoLC combination groups.

Brackets in ships and offshore structures are added structures that can endure stress concentrations. In this study, a concurrent engineering solution was proposed, and a high strength low carbon cast steel alloy applicable to offshore structures was designed and developed. The yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of the designed steel were 480 and 600 MPa, respectively. The carbon equivalent of the steel was 0.446 with a weld crack susceptibility index of 0.219. The optimal structural design of the brackets for offshore structures was evaluated using ANSYS commercial software. The possibility of replacing an assembly of conventional built-up brackets with a single casting bulb bracket was verified. The casting process was simulated using MAGMAsoft commercial software, and a casting fabrication process was designed. For the proposed bulb bracket, it was possible to reduce the size and weight by approximately 30% and 50%, respectively, compared to the conventional type of bracket.
The purpose of this study was to classify mandibular dental arch forms based on Raberin's method, and to compare Raberin's arch forms with that of the Korean's, and to designate arch form of bracket level according to distance between cusp tip and buccal surface of bracket level. The sample consisted of 159 mandibular dental casts showing normal occlusion which was taken from 62 males and 97 females of the Korean, aging from 13 to 25 years. The model was taken by X-ray. The landmarks were cusp points which expressed the mandibular dental arch line of cusp tips and buccal points which were measured from cusp tips to buccal surfaces of bracket level. The landmarks on the film were digitized, and measurements and statistics were performed. The results were as follows; 1. The models were classified as type 1, type 2, type 3, type 4 and type 5 by the author, and polynomial functions of the six degree and R-square values were calculated using statistical method, and each calculated equations explained each group with the least R-square value of 0.97, and each arch forms' were plotted. 2. The distribution of type 1 was $17.6\%$, type 2 $20.8\%$, type 3 $20.8\%$, type 4 $16.3\%$ and type 5 $24.5\%$. 3. The Korean arch form was characterized by larger width, smaller height compared to the French arch form. 4. The designated arch form of bracket level, viz the distance between cusp point and buccal point was calculated. The distance between cusp point and buccal point of incisor was 1mm, canine 1.9mm, first premolar 2.5mm, second premolar 2.6mm, first molar 2.7mm and second molar 2.7mm.
There have been few researches on the connection technology for steel structures, so the research outputs and the outcome of the technology development are still insufficient. The bracket-type connection should be improved for efficient constructability and $CO_2$ reduction. It should be replaced by a new type of weak-axis connection that has better structural performance and less $CO_2$ emission. Since the structural performance and safety of the new type of weak-axis connection must first be verified, however, a study on $CO_2$ reduction will be conducted. Therefore, this study looked into the structural performance of the bracket-type details, standard details, and ultra-simple details. It evaluated the requirements for connection materials and $CO_2$ emission. It was found that the ultra-simple weak-axis connection has thebest structural performance and the least $CO_2$ emissions, so it is deemed capable of replacing the bracket-type weak-axis connection.

This study is designed to find out the role and relation of the Nemok-dori support members in order to clearly specify the structure of the Dapogye architecture which adopts the Nemok-dori. The dori at the eaves in the Dapogye architecture was expanded to include Oemok-dori, Jusim-dori and Nemok-dori in cooperation with the bracket. The Oemok-dori is used to lengthen the eaves and the Jusim-dori makes the reasonable transfer of loads while the Namok-dori contributes to the stability of the building through the balancing of the bracket. Nemok-dori is located higher than Oemok-dori or Jusim-dori, depending on the slope of Jangyeon and the distance of Chulmok. But as it is not directly supported by bracket or beam, it needs an independent support. The vertical support of Nemok-dori is selectively involved with Cheomcha, lower Jangyeo, support Wall and upper Jangyeo. As the time went by, the vertical height increased, thus making the omitted members less. The horizontal support of Nemok-dori is made in various ways. There are also special cases such as the Nemok-dori □ type chain structure for small rectangular buildings, the 'Nemok-dori = Jung-dori' type for the buildings having small sides and the 'Nemok-dori = Meongechangbang' type appearing on the lower part of the Bankanmulrim type middle height buildings. The horizontal support of Nemok-dori usually uses either the support of the Toeryang type member, the support of beam directed Hwaban or the support through overlaying of internal Jegong. As the time went by and the number and distance of Chulmok increased, the multiple support structures acted together rather than as one support structure. Nemok-dori got stabilized as it has both the vertical and horizontal supports and this support structure also has he role of decoration.
