Concurrent engineering solution for the design of ship and offshore bracket parts and fabrication process

  • Brackets in ships and offshore structures are added structures that can endure stress concentrations. In this study, a concurrent engineering solution was proposed, and a high strength low carbon cast steel alloy applicable to offshore structures was designed and developed. The yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of the designed steel were 480 and 600 MPa, respectively. The carbon equivalent of the steel was 0.446 with a weld crack susceptibility index of 0.219. The optimal structural design of the brackets for offshore structures was evaluated using ANSYS commercial software. The possibility of replacing an assembly of conventional built-up brackets with a single casting bulb bracket was verified. The casting process was simulated using MAGMAsoft commercial software, and a casting fabrication process was designed. For the proposed bulb bracket, it was possible to reduce the size and weight by approximately 30% and 50%, respectively, compared to the conventional type of bracket.

3Y-$ZrO_2$ 세라믹과 교정용 브라켓계에서 세라믹의 표면 조건에 따른 접착 거동의 변화 (Effect of Surface Condition on the Bonding Characteristics of 3Y-$ZrO_2$-Metal Bracket System)

  • Purpose: To investigate shear bonding strength between dental zirconia ceramics with different surface treatment and metal bracket. Methods: Zirconia ceramics(LAVA, 3M ESPE, USA) were divided to 4 groups according to their surface treatment; no surface treatment(G1), sand blasting(G2), silane coating(G3), and sand blasting+silane coating(G4). Specimens were bonded to metal bracket using resin bond($Transbond^{TM}XT$, 3M Unitek, USA). Shear bond strength was measured using universal test machine(3366 INSTRON. U.S.A) with cross head speed of 1 mm/min. Microstructural investigation for fracture surface was performed after shear test. Results: Shear bonding strengths of single surface treatment groups (G2 and G3) were higher than no treatment group(G1). Combined Treatment Group (G4) showed the highest shear bond strength of 9.15MPa. Microstructural observation shows that higher shear bonding strength was obtained when debonding was occurred at metal bracket/resin interface rather than zirconia ceramic/resin interface. Conclusion: Surface treatment of zirconia is necessary to obtain higher bonding strength. Combined treatment can be more effective when surface the surfaces are kept clean and homogeneous.

  • Researches on the FRF-based substructuring method have been mainly focused on vibratory response analysis. Present study is concerned about the application of the method to the dynamic stress analysis of a compressor mounting bracket in a passenger car. This is performed by using reaction forces that can be obtained by the FRF-based substructuring method. The air-conditioner system, composed of a compressor, a bracket and a test jig, is analyzed by using the FRF-based substructuring method. The experimental and numerical FRFs are combined to calculate the system responses and reaction forces at the connection point. The dynamic reaction forces plugged into the bracket FE model to compute the compute the stresses of the bracket. Dynamic stresses by the present method are compared with those from FE model. The comparison shows possibility of practical usage of the method for the real problem.

동화사 수마제전의 건축적 특징 (Architectural Characteristic of SooMaJaiJeon in DongHwaSa)

  • For this purpose, the research is to study the architectural characteristic of SooMaJaiJeon which is one of the DongHwaSa in the traditional wooden architecture by dividing it into three section-bracket, roof structure and frame structure. This study is largely divided into four stage-section do subject, research and actual measurement and conclusion. The whole process was consistently executed through detailed steps. The com position of this study is as follows. The 1st chapter-the purpose, background, method, object and range of the research. The 2nd chapter-the history of SooMajaiJeon. the 3rd chapter-the structure of Dapo-style bracket has generally considered, the frame structure of Dapo-style, vertical and horizontal member and podium, the characteristic of bracket with member and the structure, design of bracket, roof structure. In the 4th chapter, the conclusion of this study has been summarized, Dapo-style is the building that has deep symbolism and structural characteristic of traditional wooden architecture. The frame structure has a dominant regional characteristic and a typical part of typological classification in SooMaJaiJeon.

  • The masonry structure is constructed by cement mortar binding material of brick objects and uses reinforced hardware(connected hardware or wall tie) together when building. However, over time, the corrosion of reinforced steel and the deterioration of joint mortar as well as bricks cause the risk of collapse. In particular, when the externally decorated brick wall is installed on the concrete girder for each floor, the angle bracket is not constructed or corroded, the full-layer weight load is applied to the wall of 0.5B, which is an example of full-scale or collapse. As a result of the evaluation, it was confirmed that the performance was improved compared to the existing bracket, and we plan to carry out a real-life test and long-term performance review of the building using the bracket in the future.

치아의 활주 이동시 브라켓 폭이 브라켓과 호선 사이의 마찰력에 미치는 효과 (The effect of bracket width on frictional force between bracket and arch wire during sliding tooth movement)

  • 치아의 활주 이동시 교정용 브라켓과 호선 사이의 마찰력은 많은 요인들, 예를 들면 브라켓과 호선의 크기, 형태 그리고 재료, 결찰방법 그리고 브라켓-호선간 각도 등과 관련이 있다. 이런 요인들 대부분에 관하여 명확한 결론이 내려져 있지만 브라켓 폭이 마찰력에 미치는 효과에 관해서는 논란이 있다. 이번 연구는 임상에서와 비슷한 모의 치아 이동시 브라켓 폭이 발생되는 마찰력의 양에 미치는 효과를 조사하기 위해 고안되었다. 폭이 다른 세 가지 브라켓 $(0.018{\times}0.025\;standard)$ 즉 좁은 것 (2.40mm), 중간 것 (3.00mm), 그리고 넓은 것(4.25mm) 등을 $0.016{\times}0.022$ 스테인레스 스틸 호선과 함께 사용하였다 세 가지 브라켓-호선 조합들은 분속 0.5mm로 4분 동안 장치 에서 움직이도록 하였고 각각 7회씩 반복 측정하였다. 생물학적인 상태를 재현하기 위해 치 아 치조 모형은 치근막과 유사한 탄성을 갖는 재료를 이용하는 간접법으로 제작되었다. 게다가 결찰력의 효과를 최소화하기 위하여 브라켓에 레진을 덧붙여서 고무로 결찰함으로써 브라켓 폭의 차이를 보상해주었다. 결과는 다음과 같다: 1. 각 브라켓-호선 조합의 최대 마찰력은; 좁은것(2.40mm): $m4.69gmf$ 중간것 (3.00mm): $72.7\pm54.98gmf$ 넓은것(4.25mm): $72.5\pm94.54gmf$ 2. 호선이 브라켓 슬롯을 지나서 나아갈수록 마찰력은 증가하였다. 3. ANOVA 사후검정 결과 임상과 비슷한 모의 실험에서 브라켓 폭은 마찰력에 아무런 영향을 미치지 않았다(p>0.05).

도재 및 레진 브라켓에 대한 광중합 접착제의 전단 접착 강도 (Shear bond strength of ceramic and resin brackets used with visible light-cured adhesives)

  • 성인 환자의 증가와 심미적인 장치에 대한 요구가 증가하면서 도재나 레진 브라켓의 사용이 증가되고 있다. 이러한 브라켓에서의 광중합 접착제의 사용은 짧은 광조사 시간에서도 광중합 접착제의 많은 장점을 얻을 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 심미적으로 우수한 수 종의 도재 및 레진 브라켓을 수 종의 광중합 접착제로 접착시켜 전단 접착 강도와 접착 파절 양상을 관찰하였다. 교정 치료를 위해 발거한 140개의 소구치를 협측면이 노출되도록 자가중합 레진으로 매몰하고 소구치 협측면에 Plastlc bracket, Transcend 6000, Signature 및 Starfire TMB 브라켓을 Orthobond, Light Bond 및 Transbond로 제조자 지시에 따라 접착시켜 열변환기 로 1800회 온도 변화를 준 후 전단 접착 강도를 만능시험기로 측정하고 접착 파절 양상을 입체현미경으로 관찰하였고 10초와 20초의 광조사 시간과 두가지 광원에 대해 전단 접착 강도를 비교하여 다음의 결과를 얻었다. 1. 동일한 브라켓을 Orthobond, Light Bond와 Transbond로 접착시켰을 때 이들간의 전단 접착 강도는 Plastic bracket을 제외하고는 통계학적 유의차가 없었다(p<0.05). 2. 동일한 접착제로 Plastic bracket, Transcend 6000, Signature, Starfire TMB를 접착시켰을 때 이들간의 전단 접착강도는 통계학적 유의차를 보였다(p<0.05). Starfire TMB에서 가장 큰 전단 접착강도를 보였고 이는 Transcend 6000과 통계학적 유의차가 없었으나 Singnature와는 통계학적 유의차를 보였다(p<0.05). 3. 접착 파절은 전체 군에서 잔류 접착제가 반 이상 또는 모두 치아면에 남은 경우가 $72.1\%$로 대개 브라켓과 접착제 사이에서 파절이 일어났다. 4. 접착제 중합을 위한 광조사 시간은 10초와 20초에서 전단 접착 강도에 통계학적 유의차를 보이지 않았으며 $400mW/cm^2$ 이상의 광도에서는 서로 다른 광원을 사용해도 전단 접착 강도에 통계학적 유의차를 나타내지 않았다(p<0.05). 이상의 결과로 보아 도재 브라켓의 전단 접착강도는 브라켓 조성과 브라켓 접착면의 유지형태 차이에 의해 영향을 받고 광중합 접착제 종류에 따른 접착 강도의 차이는 나타나지 않았으며 임상에서 브라켓이나 접착제 선택시 이를 고려해야 할 것으로 사료된다.

  • Strengthening existing structure using the exterior steel wire is utilized because of their high adaptability and strengthening efficiency. In the practical aspect, the fixing methods, which are generally adopted have caused problems. A new method is not easily designed because of the weak points, a limit of tension stress, and complex transmit processes. To make up for the weak points in the current fixing method, tensile end bracket similar to a supporting plate has been developed, but the tensile end bracket was relatively big because of increasing length welded between the end plate and the resisting plate.

  • This paper concerns the progressive die design for an automotive bracket part aided by the computer simulation in order to eliminate the inferiority such as the crack. The computer simulation of the progressive forming process is utilized in order to investigate cause of the cracks. This paper proposes a new guideline for the die design which modifies intermediate shapes and adds intermediate forming stages in progressive forming process. The effectiveness of the proposed design is verified by the computer simulation. The simulation result shows that the modified die design for the progressive forming process can eliminate the crack and improve quality of the automotive bracket part.

  • It is shown that every almost linear mapping $h:{\mathcal{A}}{\rightarrow}{\mathcal{B}}$ of a unital Poisson Banach algebra ${\mathcal{A}}$ to a unital Poisson Banach algebra ${\mathcal{B}}$ is a Poisson algebra homomorphism when h(xy) = h(x)h(y) holds for all $x,y{\in}\;{\mathcal{A}}$, and that every almost linear almost multiplicative mapping $h:{\mathcal{A}}{\rightarrow}{\mathcal{B}}$ is a Poisson algebra homomorphism when h(qx) = qh(x) for all $x\;{\in}\;{\mathcal{A}}$. Here the number q is in the functional equation given in the almost linear almost multiplicative mapping. We prove that every almost Poisson bracket $B:{\mathcal{A}}\;{\times}\;{\mathcal{A}}\;{\rightarrow}\;{\mathcal{A}}$ on a Banach algebra ${\mathcal{A}}$ is a Poisson bracket when B(qx, z) = B(x, qz) = qB(x, z) for all $x,z{\in}\;{\mathcal{A}}$. Here the number q is in the functional equation given in the almost Poisson bracket.
